Chapter 314: Both hands
Eva’s eyes widened. "Both hands at once?"
"Yes. This is much harder. Your mana must split evenly while still maintaining control. Most people with wood bloodlines take years to master this. But you have earned this lesson."
Eva took a deep breath and held both hands out. She tried to form wood in both palms at the same time.
The first few attempts failed completely. Sometimes only one hand worked. Sometimes both hands produced weak, crumbling pieces. Sometimes nothing happened at all. Her mana control was still sloppy and uneven.
"Focus on balance," Lor said. "Do not rush. Feel the mana dividing equally."
It took many attempts. Eva’s face showed clear frustration, but she kept trying. Sweat formed on her forehead.
Finally, after a long struggle, two small, rough pieces of wood appeared — one in each palm.
They were weak and uneven, barely the size of small tree branches, but they held their shape.
Eva stared at them in shock. "I... I did it."
"Now change their shapes," Lor said. "Make one a sphere and the other a cube at the same time."
This took even longer. Eva’s control slipped many times. But eventually, she managed to slowly reshape both pieces at once — one became a rough sphere, the other a rough cube.
Lor nodded. "Good. Now make them larger. Aim for something the size of a sword."
Eva tried again. Her first attempts were still weak and small. But she kept pushing.
After several more tries, she finally succeeded in creating two pieces of wood — each roughly the size and thickness of a tree branch. They were not perfect, but they were solid and held their shape.
Eva stared at the two branches in her hands. For a moment she was completely silent. Then her face broke into a huge, joyful smile.
"I did it!" she shouted, jumping up from the floor. "I actually did it with both hands!"
She was so happy that she rushed forward and hugged Lor tightly, her curvy body pressing against him for a moment. "Thank you! Thank you so much Lor! I mean the Guiding Light!"
Lor smiled and gently patted her back. "You earned it. But remember. Keep practicing."
Eva pulled back, still grinning widely, holding the two wooden branches like treasures.
Viora watched everything quietly from the side, clearly amazed by what she had just seen.
.
Eva sat on the side, still holding the two wooden branches she had created. She was quietly practicing, trying to make the wood denser and change its shape again and again.
Small, rough pieces of wood appeared and disappeared in her palms as she worked, her curvy figure leaning forward with concentration. Her dark blue hair with pink streaks fell over one shoulder as she focused.
Lor turned his attention to Viora.
"Viora. Your request was to improve your magic casting ability — stronger and more controlled. I will teach you fire magic now."
Viora sat up straighter, her green hair still slightly messy from the earlier activities. She looked both excited and nervous, her athletic yet curvy frame shifting on the floor. "Fire... yes. I want to get better at it."
Lor held out his right hand. A small, steady flame appeared in his palm, flickering gently. It was controlled and bright, not wild like most beginners’ fire.
Viora’s eyes widened. "You can do fire too?"
Lor smiled faintly. "The Light can do many things."
He began teaching her step by step, his voice calm and patient.
"First, feel the spark in your core. Do not force it. Let the mana ignite naturally, then shape it with your will."
Viora tried. A tiny spark appeared in her palm for half a second before vanishing. She tried again.
This time a small flame flickered, but it was weak and unstable. It suddenly flared up and caught the edge of her top.
"Ah!" Viora yelped, quickly patting at the burning fabric. The fire spread a little, burning a noticeable hole in her top and exposing part of her firm, rounded breast.
The smooth skin and stiff nipple were visible for a moment before she covered herself with her arm. Her face turned bright red. "Sorry... I lost control."
Lor quickly waved his hand. A gentle breeze of wind magic flowed over her.
The burned fabric mended itself perfectly, as if it had never been damaged.
The top looked brand new again, hugging her athletic curves exactly as before.
Viora and Eva both stared in amazement.
Viora touched the restored fabric, eyes wide. Eva’s mouth opened slightly. They didn’t ask how.
They both knew better than to question the Guiding Light too much. It could do miracles.
"Continue. Try again, but keep it small and controlled."
Viora nodded, still a little embarrassed but determined. She tried again.
This time the flame was steadier, though still small and flickering. She practiced for a long time, slowly improving.
Eva continued practicing her wood magic on the side, creating small branches and reshaping them while occasionally glancing over to watch Viora.
After many attempts, Viora finally managed to create a stable, small flame that didn’t flicker wildly. She smiled, clearly proud. "I did it... it’s actually staying."
"Good," Lor said. "Now make it stronger, but keep control."
They continued for a while longer. Viora’s control improved steadily. She could now create a steady flame and make it larger without losing control.
"Because of the additional service you provided tonight," Lor said, "I will teach you something more advanced. You will learn to wield fire from both hands at the same time."
Viora’s eyes widened. "Both hands?"
"Yes. Similar to what Eva learned with wood. Your mana must split evenly while maintaining control."
Viora took a deep breath and held both hands out. Her first attempts failed completely.
Sometimes only one hand worked. Sometimes the flames were too weak or too wild. She almost burned her sleeve again, but Lor quickly put it out.
After many tries, she finally managed to create small flames in both palms at the same time. They were weak and unsteady, but they were real flames.
Viora stared at them in shock. "I... I did it!"
She was so excited that she almost jumped up.
The flames in her hands suddenly flared bigger. One of them nearly caught the edge of the curtain again. Lor quickly extinguished it with a small gust of wind magic.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief as things settled.
Eva smiled from the side. "You’re getting really good."
Viora grinned, still holding the small flames in both hands. "This feels amazing..."
Lor nodded, a small smile on his face. "Keep practicing. The Light is pleased with your progress."
The room felt warm and alive with possibility.
The night outside was quiet.
Eva yawned.
