Chapter 515: Chapter 514: 45 against 12
They attacked as the sky stretched and darkened.
For the Qilin, after it broke free, the first thing it did was look for that demon, which was Nuk. But Nuk was nowhere to be found. Then it sensed the familiar demon aura here with Vakim.
Because it couldn’t find Nuk, it took it out on Vakim, and now it was here.
The twelve of them clashed together.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
The sky shattered as space erupted. The ground cracked as they moved to the vast expanse of the sea.
The ocean dried up, the ocean floor turned into molten bedrock, and deep-sea monsters were slain one after another as the seas turned into a sea of blood.
The mortals crumbled under their might as dark, spiraling cracks, like black holes, appeared all across the sky, causing their hearts to pound.
Boom!!!
Vakim and the twelve clashed once more as the sky shattered. The instant it did, the oxygen level rapidly dropped as most of the mortals fell to the ground, unable to breathe. They desperately gasped for air and clawed at their necks, but to no avail.
But this was not merely a crisis for the mortals alone.
The sky was not just a protective cover for the mortals, but also the layer of space that sealed "them."
Just then, an intense immortal aura descended as the whole world was rapidly wrapped within it, and the oxygen level stabilized. Twelve beings, each with a giant dharma behind them, appeared. Beside them were thousands of immortals, all with bloodlines that resonated with the present-day martial warrior families.
"Ancestor..." Most couldn’t help but say at that instant, and the battle between Vakim and the rest instantly stopped.
If before they were the ceiling, now they had turned into prey. Especially the aura of the twelve supreme immortals, it was so terrifying that they felt like small boats in a turbulent storm that could capsize at any moment.
But they couldn’t relax yet as a rumble spread across the heavens and lightning struck the ground.
Divinity covered the world as the destruction that had been caused was slowly reversed, and everything returned to its proper place.
The gods, all forty-five of them appeared as the mortals could see them from every corner of the world.
The gods had huge projections, each representing themselves. Seeing this, the humans recognized who each god was as they felt their memories were stirred and the past came to life.
At the same time, the dharmas of the twelve supreme immortals stood opposite them.
"This..." At the side, Vakim’s heart pounded as he came to a terrifying conclusion.
He was at the Peak Rank 1 realm and could see it more clearly. These were no Rank 1 entities. Although their auras were suppressed to Peak Rank 1, they were originally Rank 2 beings.
Taking a sharp breath, his eyes narrowed.
"This... is no High-Level World. This is a Supreme World."
With that, Vakim slipped away, moving at the speed of light instantly.
On the other side, the ten ancient martial warriors moved closer to them.
Just as they wanted to speak..
"Hmph."
A grunt rang out, and a powerful gust of wind froze Din’s body in place. The ten ancient martial warriors were all blasted away, each of them injured to varying degrees.
Badumm.
Badumm.
Din was surprised, angered, and filled with fear.
At first, he thought the immortals and gods were their protectors, so why had they attacked the ten ancient martial warriors, almost killing them?
He was angered because he had finally seen the damned gods, his eyes burning with fury, yet he was restrained by their power.
Now came fear.
But the gods and immortals ignored him.
"You didn’t die?" a god said, his voice full of mockery.
"Could say the same to you," one of the immortals replied with a frown.
"Hahaha! You thought we would fade because of the way you sealed us. Selfish beings."
"Only you wanted access to the world’s power. What a joke," a god spat angrily as the immortals merely frowned.
"You were planning the same thing as us. We only acted faster," an immortal spoke.
"Hehe, by siding with Osiris?" a god asked.
"Anything to make us victorious. Yes," an immortal replied without shame.
"Heh... what if I told you he is alive?" the God of Light suddenly chuckled as he spoke, and he saw fear flash across the twelve immortals’ expressions before they returned to normal.
"And so what if he is alive? Can he withstand all of us? You overestimate him," an immortal spat.
"Well, let’s cut the bullshit then. Prepare for your deaths," the God of Death spoke, and the instant he did, the two sides clashed.
Forty-five against twelve.
Only the God King, the God of Light, could take on a Supreme Immortal by himself. The rest had to fight them in groups just to stand a chance.
The instant they clashed, the whole world, spanning light-years in size, seemed to dim.
The newly healed ground split open, and the oceans dried up.
From left to right, from the center to the farthest reaches, everything changed as intense gales swept across the world. The oxygen level dropped as Din’s body trembled over and over while he looked toward the sky, where their figures flashed.
He could hear the sound of a child crying echoing in his head.
He didn’t know what it was or why it was happening, but the more destruction they caused, the louder the wails became.
"Kid..."
Just then, Void’s voice was heard.
"The world mourns and seeks your help," Void spoke as Din clenched his fists.
His eyes sharpened, but ultimately he released them.
What could he do now?
He was far weaker than them.
Even the ten ancient martial warriors had been struck and almost died from an attack he couldn’t even see.
He would be dead if he went up there.
Din was conflicted.
He wanted to help. After all, only a while ago he had proclaimed that he was the protector of the mortals.
But now their battle was disrupting the order of this world.
Eventually, Din sighed.
He knew it would be stupid to throw himself into this battle.
Besides, Void had only just given him the demon bloodline.
He didn’t even know how to use it properly.
The earlier battle with Vakim had only helped him gain some control over it.
So Din flew off and looked around for the ancient martial warriors.
Finding them, he saw that every single one of them was severely injured, making his heart ache.
"Kid... you should leave and save yourself," one of them spoke as he saw Din trying to carry them away.
But Din merely groaned.
"I’ll be fine. The world still needs all of you," Din said with a smile as he helped them.
Seeing the kid working so hard, they glanced at one another and couldn’t help remembering what Vakim had said.
Could Din really be called a demon if he was risking his life to save them?
Din moved quickly as he tried to leave the region.
Space had become so fragile that every once in a while, a giant spatial rift would appear.
Its power was enough to leave Din anywhere from lightly injured to barely clinging to life, so he had to remain watchful.
But just as he was a few thousand kilometers away, something happened.
Boom!!!
The ground beside him was suddenly shattered as a massive ravine was carved across the earth.
The shockwave instantly made Din cough up blood as he tried to shield the martial warriors with his own body.
As the dust died down, the cause of it was finally revealed as a being shrouded in divinity emerged from a bottomless hole over a mile deep.
His expression was filled with fury.
Seeing this, Din’s heartbeat quickened.
He hadn’t expected their battle to reach this place.
Worse still, he was only a few meters away from a god.
Would they recognize him?
Would he be in trouble?
Would he be killed?
And what Din feared finally happened.
The god flew out of the crater and looked at Din and the others.
At first, he felt disgust as he looked at the ten ancient martial warriors, seemingly disappointed by the path they had chosen instead of following the gods.
But when his gaze landed on Din, it instantly turned into fury.
In that instant, Din was lifted high into the sky.
His neck was gripped, and he couldn’t breathe as he stared into two divine eyes that seemed to gaze directly into his soul.
Excruciating pain surged through his entire body.
"You..."
