Chapter 101: Transcendent Games
"So, how do you want me to do it?" Caelia looked at the man who was getting dressed, not wanting to miss a single detail of his body.
Cassian directed his gaze toward her while buttoning a button on his shirt and smiled.
"I’ll send you some things you can use; beyond that, I expect you to surprise me."
"Surprise you?"
"Mmm, if you’re too soft just because it’s your son, it will be a disappointment."
"Ha! I see..."
...
Once Cassian left Caelia’s place, he returned to his room.
But a surprise would be waiting for him there.
Cassian closed the door to his room with deliberate slowness. He turned around and directed a smile at the three women inside.
Sylvia, Adela and Elizabeth, with outfits that left little to the imagination, deliberately put on to please him, were there.
The three were sitting on his bed, observing him with very different looks: the shamelessness of Sylvia, the cunning mixed with a bit of shame of Elizabeth, and the absolute devotion of Adela.
"Well, then? Whose idea was this?" —a smile escaped him.
But in his mind he already had the answer.
Adela’s concern these days was obvious; who else but her would think it was a good idea to bring the three of them together to give him this kind of surprise?
...
On the other hand, in the Empire of Pradiles, Ravena, the empress who had managed to understand a piece of the Law of Space and make her way into the Transcendent realm, was sitting on her throne looking with cold eyes at the elders who had come to see her.
Kaldor Rothsson and Modric Grandel, although the latter was not a transcendent in the full sense, the news of the empress’s advancement was received with displeasure in both families.
Kaldor wore a cunning and confident smile; he was the first to speak.
"Your Majesty, we are here to congratulate you. It is an honor that the empress of our empire achieves this advance; our position with the other empires will be strengthened with this. The Lucratis will no longer be able to boast of being the empire with the most transcendents... and after what happened in Demor."
Ravena raised an eyebrow at those lying words of flattery, although they held some truth.
She remembered how the empress of the Lucratis Empire had looked at her the last time they had met for something important; the worst thing was that they always went around thinking they were untouchable when in reality they had control over almost none of the Limit Breakers.
Then she directed her attention to the two elders in front of her.
"We all here know why you really came," her words were dry. "I want to know what happened with my sister, how you led her to her death."
The Law of Space began to vibrate.
Although it was immature, it was enough to exert pressure on both of them.
Kaldor’s smile broke.
Although he was a transcendent, he himself had pushed his affinity to the maximum to overcome the limit, but without touching a real law; not to mention that a wind affinity could not be compared to a Law of Space.
He had managed to break the limit with external help and, although he had been in this state for years, the tremendous difference in power was noticeable.
Sweat began to appear on his forehead; he knew that if he didn’t give the right answer today, it was possible he would end up dead.
"It’s incredible, she really managed to break through with her own strength..." he said in a sarcastic tone with a hint of bitterness hidden. "Your sister got involved in matters that were not her concern. I can’t say too much," feeling the seal that was still placed on his heart through contract magic, "but if we didn’t do what they said, not only would we die but we would also lose a unique opportunity in life, Your Majesty."
The elder’s words did not move the woman’s expression even a bit.
"Then you are of no use to me."
Ravena seemed about to carry out an attack when a figure appeared in the hall.
An elf who immediately eased the pressure in the air and looked at Ravena with interest.
"I’m afraid we still have use for these two," he said, pointing with contempt at the two old men.
The empress frowned.
"Why with her? Why in Pradiles? What are the elves planning?"
The same elf put on a mysterious smile and walked to take the two elders away.
Once they were far enough, he threw them into some corner of a forest and looked at them coldly.
"Great god, thank you very much," they said with a humble posture.
The elf, whose age was noticeable, looked at them with contempt, shook his head upon seeing them and pronounced:
"Useless. I clearly asked you to finish off the entire descendants of that man with that woman."
The elders raised their heads surprised and began to excuse themselves:
"We tried, but..."
The nearby trees seemed to come to life; the roots wrapped around the person who was speaking, squeezing.
Blood began to appear, until he became an explosion of it from the pressure.
Sounds of drops falling. Kaldor, who was still alive, looked to his side with terror.
"Why?..." his voice felt like a small fragile thread.
"Do you think I went to the trouble of coming to save you because I really cared about you? When I received your report that the children of that person were still alive and that, to top it off, you failed to kill them once you found them..."
This time an energy of mana fused with life magic began to materialize around both of them.
Kaldor stood up and began to flee frantically, but we all know he wouldn’t succeed.
On the other hand, Ravena, who had been left alone, whispered:
"The elves..."
...
Cassian, who for his part had enjoyed a long session with three very special women, was lying down with a pleased expression.
A sigh escaped at seeing the women sleep.
A smile of pure satisfaction.
The woman with red hair woke up first; upon seeing that he was awake and looking at them, a small blush filled her, then she hit his arm and said without any shame:
"I think you overdid it, I won’t be able to return to my office for a few days. I think I’ll stay here to bother you," a mischievous smile as she finished saying this.
Cassian burst out laughing, passed an arm around her waist to pull her closer.
"Are you sure that’s what you’re looking for?"
He moved his hand dangerously toward her ass to give it a playful squeeze and looked at her with amusement.
Sylvia frowned and looked behind him at the two women who seemed to have woken up and were looking at their master with disapproval.
Cassian turned around and, upon seeing the same, let go of Sylvia to put on an innocent expression and say with seriousness:
"I’ve been thinking... about what I really want to do from now on. I think you all understand that there is nothing in this world that can really threaten me, but apparently that is not the case for you."
He turned his gaze back to Sylvia to say:
"Although you are already among the strongest in this world, the truth is that outside of it you are just one more."
The redhead frowned at his words, uncomfortable at being considered weak.
"And you, Elizabeth, you still haven’t broken the second limit..."
With those words, he suddenly took out a vial that seemed to contain a strange liquid.
"This is blood from my body in perfect condition," he fixed his gaze on Adela. "I want you to give it to the most loyal shadows. Those at the ninth level should manage not only to place blind obedience in them, but also to reach a level that you would call on the edge of the fourth limit. And for you... although a dual cultivation technique would be the most optimal solution, the difference between systems and power is too great. That’s why I prepared some methods especially for the three of you."
Adela looked at her master with disbelief.
She had never seen him take such a strong initiative in something; although she knew he cared about them, many times he also seemed lost in other things, as if they took away his desire to live.
Sylvia immediately took one of Cassian’s writings.
"That one is not for you, Sylvia..." with a touch of amusement.
Sylvia frowned and uncomfortably returned it to Cassian, now taking the correct one.
Elizabeth and Adela looked at this with amusement.
They would spend the rest of the afternoon learning this; Elizabeth would manage to reach the seventh level with Cassian’s help.
Until they were interrupted by a knock on the door.
