Chapter 575: Going Back - 2
Chapter 575: Going Back - 2
Thalvyr thought about that question for a while.
"Unlike my wife, I am confident I can thrive in any climatic condition. Since it’s a cold place, I would probably need to maintain my body temperature at all times... the same could be said for my kids. In other words, we would need to eat a lot."
"Even my wife—even if her physiological condition isn’t suited for a hot climate like that in the secret realm—could have remained comfortable for a decade or so. The problem occurred because she was subjected to such weather conditions since birth," Thalvyr explained.
"Hmm, so you are saying if Zharrissa stays in a cold climate like where I am taking you people now, and then brings herself back to the weather conditions of the secret realm, she would be completely fine?"
Thalvyr nodded.
"Yes, her body just needs that jumpstart in the colder climate to regain her vitality in full."
"Well, looks like now it’s Zharrissa’s time to protect you all," Leo said, chuckling.
Thalvyr smiled at that.
"I am sure she will be very happy to do—" Thalvyr’s pupils contracted at Leo’s next action.
"Here," Leo said, handing him the [Earthpulse Lifecore].
Leo swiftly placed it inside a spatial ring and tossed the ring to Thalvyr, who caught it with slightly panicked eyes, afraid it might fall.

"Lord?" he asked, his eyes wide.
"Give that to your wife and make her well quickly, because she will need to work hard to protect you all. She needs to be in perfect shape for that."
With that, Leo simply walked forward, leaving Thalvyr deep in his own thoughts.
Hmm, haven’t checked my skill proficiencies for a long time... let’s take a look at them.

"Quite a bit of progress..." Leo muttered as he went through everything once again, noticing a few points.
Hoh? Howl seemed to be working hard. Leo noticed that the [Golem Construct] skill had ranked up.
Leo had told Howl to keep practising the skill in his free time, and it seemed to be paying off.

Next up were the skills that couldn’t be upgraded.
System... what is this subsidiary skill that is being spoken about?
No response.
Looks like I need to figure it out myself...
Leo also noticed that it specifically stated that conscious practice of that particular skill was required.
So I am performing it unconsciously? I just haven’t realised it yet for it to manifest as a skill...
Leo had read in the library that many people used various skills in their daily lives, but since they hadn’t realised it yet, or the skill hadn’t reached a particular level, it hadn’t become a skill they could consciously call upon.
The prime example given in the book was a sprint or even a dash in a certain direction in an instant.
For Leo, he hadn’t actually sprinted at his absolute maximum speed yet—the reason being that his stats were too high for him to reach his top speed to get the skill before colliding with an obstacle.
As for dashing, it was encompassed within [Luminous Prowl Steps].
[Luminous Prowl Steps] was also an example of how two or more skills could assimilate into one. It combined [Dash] + [Quick Leap] + [Evasion] + [Silent Step] into a single skill.
As Leo sorted through everything in his mind, he didn’t realise everyone was already prepared to return to the academy.
Due to the incident, the professors were hurrying the students because Ashton would close the teleportation arrays after they departed.
In no time, Leo, the elves, the Lizardmen, and the 17 young maids were all ready to leave.
"I feel weird..." Leo muttered after finding himself becoming a spectacle among the students once again.
Whispers immediately spread through the crowd.
"God damn, so many girls!" one exclaimed.
"W-well, I mean, he can display 5-star strength... we should be understanding."
"Yeah..."
"Did you notice? He really seems to have a type."

"Not gonna lie, that’s really solid taste."
Leo thoroughly ignored all the gossip and waited for a certain someone to arrive.
He was waiting for the Feather Shop Manager.
When the manager finally came into sight, Leo smacked his forehead once again.
Idiot! Did he really need to bring in 3 more women?! Leo grimaced as he looked at them.
It seemed those 3 women were going to be handling the shop. Not that they looked bad; all of them had black hair and appeared to be around their mid-thirties. But with this, the female population increased once again.
The manager seemed to be accompanying them to the academy to complete the necessary paperwork, after which he would depart.
With that settled, the academy staff rechecked the students’ numbers, and the teleportation array activated with a low hum.
It was finally time to go back.

A/N: I have been making mistakes for year number, writing the number 501 AA; it’s wrong; it’s 500 AA.
