Chapter 2799: Chapter 2800: Welcoming a Little Sister

"Alright, alright, everyone disperse now, and don’t be so impulsive in the future." The clan leader asked everyone to leave.

Yuan Licheng helped Fo Lanying up, and she looked up at him, "I’m sorry, Xiaoyuan, for putting you through this."

"Silly, what’s there to feel wronged about? As long as you’re happy here." Yuan Licheng said with a smile, "I did do some things that were not good for the Jiuli Clan before, so it’s normal for them to resent me. Over time, they’ll slowly accept me."

"Xiaoyuan..." Fo Lanying’s tears welled up again, knowing he’s staying here just to be with her.

"It’s all just a misunderstanding. Once family talks things through, everything will be fine." The clan leader came over to console.

Bai Ruozhu also breathed a sigh of relief and whispered to Fo Lanying, "Go wash your face quickly, you look terrible like this."

Fo Lanying blushed and glared at Bai Ruozhu, "You’re not being a good friend."

After speaking, she headed into the room, while Yuan Licheng gracefully greeted the clan leader and company, inviting them to sit at the stone table in the courtyard.

"You’ve come from afar, so you are guests, and I was just impolite earlier." The clan leader bowed and apologized to Yuan Licheng and Ling Chen.

Ling Chen was quite upset initially, but seeing how courteous the clan leader was, she felt somewhat embarrassed.

"It’s nothing, as long as everything is cleared up." She quickly explained, afraid that her not looking at others might seem disrespectful, "I was born somewhat peculiar, and looking at people makes them have a headache."

"Oh, so the one who fainted from a headache was someone you looked at just now?" Fen Jizhi came over curiously.

Instinctively, Ling Chen glanced at him, simply because he appeared right in front of her.

Fen Jizhi quickly covered his head, "Really impressive!"

He frowned because it did make him a bit dizzy, but not to the point of fainting.

"Have you cultivated Divine Sense?" Ling Chen asked out of curiosity.

"I visited the Enlightenment Tablet not long ago," Fen Jizhi said with some pride.

Diao Shengyan congratulated him immediately, "Impressive, not only did you visit the Trial Ground, but you also went to the Enlightenment Tablet. Such extraordinary talent."

"Not compared to you," Fen Jizhi replied modestly.

Once everything was out in the open, there were no issues, and after chatting for a bit, everyone dispersed.

Bai Ruozhu and her family started heading back when Jiang Yichun leaned in and said, "Let’s go to the Peach Forest."

Her heart tightened; was this going to be settled now?

"Okay." Since she couldn’t avoid it, it was better to explain everything clearly sooner.

The two didn’t head home but went straight to the Peach Forest. Little Dengdeng wanted to follow, but Lin Pinger pulled him back.

"You little brat, don’t cause trouble. Didn’t you say you wanted a sister? If you keep disrupting, you won’t get a sister!" Lin Pinger deliberately teased him.

"How do mom and dad get a baby sister in the Zhulin? I saw Aunt Li have hers in the room the other day." Little Dengdeng asked, puzzled.

Lin Pinger was at a loss. Somehow, the more she explained, the more it didn’t seem right, and all she managed was getting caught in the questions posed by a child.

Over at the Peach Forest, Bai Ruozhu and Jiang Yichun stood beneath a peach tree with fruit.

"Is that him?" Jiang Yichun asked.

"His remnant soul flew into a flower, and then it bore fruit. This patch of Peach Forest has never borne peaches." Bai Ruozhu explained.

Jiang Yichun nodded, "So when the peaches mature, can he be reborn?"

"I’m not sure either, but this is the last chance." Bai Ruozhu thought wistfully of the story of Momotaro. Would Fei Cheng leap out of the peach when it ripens?

Jiang Yichun didn’t speak for a long time, and Bai Ruozhu kept quiet, waiting for him to continue questioning.

They stood like this for a long time, as if time had come to a standstill.

A gentle breeze swept through, scattering peach blossoms across the ground, falling on their shoulders and hair, adding a hint of romantic charm.

"I was too impulsive last night," he finally said.

"I was also in the wrong; I shouldn’t have hidden it from you." Bai Ruozhu lowered her head, speaking softly, her exposed earlobes a shade of red.

Seeing this, Jiang Yichun felt a pang of heartache and pulled her into his arms, "It’s not your fault. Everyone has their secrets. I understand your heart; it just took me a while to get it."

Bai Ruozhu was touched, looking up at him, "Achun, thank you."

Thank you for understanding me, for always being with me, and for loving me so much.

The icy facade on Jiang Yichun’s face finally melted, and he leaned down to kiss her.

She suddenly raised her hand to block his lips, blushing, "Not here, someone’s watching."

He was momentarily stunned, was it Fei Cheng? The peaches couldn’t see, after all.

"No, it’s Feng Wuxin. She’s guarding the forest and hiding, watching us." Bai Ruozhu whispered.

Hiding behind a distant peach tree, Feng Wuxin sighed helplessly. Even though she was far away, she had been discovered, how boring.

"Alright, let’s go back." Jiang Yichun grabbed her hand and gracefully jumped through an open window, entering the room.

A kiss landed, and he embraced her tightly, not letting go for quite some time.

"Ruozhu, it won’t happen again." He murmured softly in her ear.

Bai Ruozhu felt warmth spreading in her heart and nuzzled against his shoulder, "Mm, I won’t either in the future."

Feeling his body’s reaction, embraced by him, her face flushed with heat.

"No, it’s broad daylight, the kids might come back anytime." She whispered, her voice as small as a mosquito.

Jiang Yichun chuckled softly, "I didn’t intend to do anything, but since you’ve mentioned it, your husband mustn’t seem too useless, right?"

He scooped her up in his arms, "Let’s go to your place."

In the Space, no one could disturb them.

With Bai Ruozhu’s thought, they entered the Space together. Holding her, he leaped into the Hot Spring Pool and began to remove her clothes piece by piece.

Fingers traced every inch, as the Hot Spring Water felt silky against her, but even the hot spring water was not as alluring as the beauty’s skin, making him reluctant to let go.

The peach blossom petals from their bodies scattered in the Hot Spring Pool, creating a beautiful scene like a peach blossom dream.

Jiang Yichun, feeling sorry that she hadn’t rested an entire night, didn’t push things too much. Nonetheless, after everything, she laid by the poolside and fell asleep.

He carried her onto the shore, dried her body, and gently helped her put on fresh clothes. After all that, he felt overly heated again, so he simply jumped into the Fish pond to cool off.

When the two reappeared, even Lin Pinger noticed the issue had been resolved, with her daughter’s cheeks rosy, indicating a good mood.

It seemed she would soon be holding a granddaughter!

In the blink of an eye, Bai Ruozhu and the others had been back in the Jiuli Clan for half a month. During this time, Jiang Yichun had been using the excuse of having a daughter to frequently bring Bai Ruozhu into the Space to ’create someone,’ seemingly never getting enough, which was giving Bai Ruozhu a headache and left her exhausted!

Over on Jiao Ling’s side, plans were underway for Lanlan and Morning Breeze’s wedding. Morning Breeze had Jiang Yichun as his only master, so he was like family. After consulting Jiang Yichun, they finally chose an auspicious date to set the wedding.

The Jiuli Clan revered nature, so there weren’t too many complicated rituals. The wedding was set for seven days later, within the clan, with a Wine Feast and some Wedding Candy to celebrate.
