Chapter 230: Chapter 230: Kissing While Sitting
Zoe Pierce was an Omega with a high sense of morality, something Nathan Lockwood was deeply aware of.
The fact that she was now confessing on her own initiative made that even clearer.
Nathan Lockwood’s words made Zoe Pierce feel even more guilty; she wasn’t nearly as innocent as he made her out to be.
But Nathan Lockwood didn’t seem to care. This position was merely convenient for him to kiss her neck.
His teeth worked a button free.
A wide expanse of pale, smooth skin was revealed.
He kissed her slowly.
Zoe Pierce couldn’t resist brushing the hair from his forehead. His usually indifferent eyes flicked upward to meet hers, her fingertips coming to rest against his sharp brow.
His eyes glinted with a smile. He tilted his face up slightly, his fingers pressing against the nape of her neck. As he met her, he guided her head down.
He started by sucking on her lower lip. Once it had deepened in color, he became more audacious.
With the door closed, there were no inhibitions left.
He was far more unrestrained here than he was in public.
In a daze, Zoe Pierce’s thoughts drifted back to the strange biology of an Omega. As long as he didn’t knot, she wouldn’t get pregnant.
It completely subverted all biological knowledge from Earth.
Which was why she and Nathan Lockwood had been together for so long without ever using protection.
It was always a mess.
"Zoe..." Nathan Lockwood murmured her name, his hands gripping her waist.
The Omega’s hands rested on his shoulders, her arms circling him tighter. Then, with a furrow of her brow, she slowly lowered herself onto him.
No matter how many times they did this, it always took a moment to adjust.
But once she adjusted, refusing was no longer an option.
Even on the sofa, Zoe Pierce’s vision swam, the decorative painting on the metal wall sweeping up and down with their movements.
The feeling of fullness in her lower abdomen was overwhelming.
She couldn’t help but dig her fingers into the Alpha’s shoulders.
The uncomfortable pressure on her stomach made her want to cry.
She bit her lip to choke back a sob.
In the end, it was Nathan Lockwood who cleaned her up.
Zoe Pierce rolled over in bed. A thin blanket was draped over her waist as she drifted into a heavy sleep.
*
After a few more days of fun on the Starship, before Zoe Pierce even had a chance to feel bored, they arrived at Harvestfall.
The Starship docked at another private port.
After they disembarked from the Starship, several Betas greeted them and led them to a hovercar.
Zoe Pierce gazed out the window. The road ran along a cliffside, offering a view of the clear, azure sea. White, pristine sand blanketed the coastline.
Waves surged onto the shore before receding, a constant, cleansing rhythm.
A single, massive villa stood over the water, connected to the beach by four boardwalks that looked as if they were made of wooden planks.
"Sir, everything has been prepared. If there’s anything else you need, please don’t hesitate to contact me." A Beta man, who looked to be around thirty, said to Chase Shaw with a smile.
Chase Shaw nodded in understanding.
As soon as she stepped out of the hovercar, Zoe Pierce felt the blinding sunlight and the scorching heat of Harvestfall’s climate.
She was still dressed for the temperate climate of the Starship and was already starting to feel stuffy.
The heat even seemed to affect the barrier patch on her skin, making her feel agitated.
In front of others, even knowing that most of the people here were trusted retainers of Chase Shaw’s family, Zoe Pierce didn’t dare to take any chances.
Before disembarking from the Starship, she had diligently applied a scent-neutralizing spray and a new barrier patch.
She was completely scent-free, and she made sure not to get too close to anyone.
Nathan Lockwood and the others found Zoe Pierce’s paranoia amusing, but Nathan still played along, scrubbing himself clean so as not to emit the slightest scent.
Once all the staff had been dismissed, Chase Shaw, knowing the way by heart, led the group onto the boardwalk.
There was some distance between the boardwalk and the surface of the sea, and a few more steps led up to the overwater villa itself.
Looking down from the steps, it seemed there was another level below, built upon the seabed.
Zoe Pierce glanced at the house, which appeared to be built entirely of wood, but something felt off. The grain looked like wood, but its hardness didn’t seem right.
"It’s a faux-wood design," Nathan Lockwood explained, noticing Zoe Pierce’s puzzled expression. "If I’m not mistaken, the main beams are anchored to the seabed. It should be able to withstand force-10 gales."
’No wonder,’ she thought. ’If it were real wood, it would have felt more brittle to my Perception.’
The third floor of the villa housed the bedrooms. Chase Shaw gave the largest one to Zoe Pierce, while the others each got their own rooms.
Once everyone was settled, he said, "The first floor has a private, enclosed pool. If you want to go into the ocean, you can get there from that level too."
’Though, if you really wanted to get in the ocean, you could probably jump in from anywhere. You didn’t necessarily have to go to the first floor.’
’It was just that the first floor had better amenities.’
This also answered Zoe Pierce’s earlier question; there was indeed another level beneath the main villa.
Zoe Pierce hadn’t had a proper, relaxing vacation in a very long time. With no more questions, she headed straight to her room to change.
She had brought several swimsuits, which could be divided into two general categories.
One was slightly more conservative, the other rather daring.
Thanks to their restraint on the Starship the past few days, her skin was uncharacteristically free of marks. The mirror perfectly reflected the Omega’s figure. After hesitating for only two seconds, she grabbed the black bikini.
Her full chest was held in place by black satin ribbons tied at the front. With her black hair unbound, Zoe Pierce casually draped a long, sheer cover-up over herself, slipped on a pair of sandals, and went downstairs.
Nathan Lockwood and the others were already downstairs.
When Zoe Pierce reached the second-floor living room, she couldn’t help but stop in her tracks.
It was because the Alphas were wearing nothing but swim trunks, each one revealing a muscular chest and the perfect abs of a well-toned physique.
The only difference between them was their skin tone—a study in varying shades.
It was a dazzling sight.
In the past...
There had been plenty of touching, but she had never looked at them so openly, in broad daylight.
Visual stimulation, she realized, could sometimes be more flustering than physical touch.
Just like now. Zoe Pierce didn’t know where to look; it felt inappropriate to let her gaze linger on any one of them.
She was admiring the view, but she was part of the view, too.
Even with the beige, sheer cover-up, her pale, straight legs were on full display. Her long hair was casually swept to one side, offering a clear view of the stark contrast between the black swimsuit and her fair skin beneath the translucent fabric.
The slender straps were currently tied in a bow.
But everyone present knew that if a finger were to catch one end and give a gentle tug...
A hush fell over them for a few moments.
Zoe Pierce broke the silence, walking toward the stairs that led down to the first floor. "I’m going to head down, then?" she said as she went.
’It would be weird to come all the way to the ocean just to hang around inside the villa with them.’
The four Alphas stood up as if waking from a dream and followed her. When they reached the first floor and saw Zoe Pierce shed her beige cover-up, their gazes froze.
Her slender, pale back was turned to them, completely bare. Instead of heading straight for the ocean, she chose to test the water in the pool, which was filled with seawater.
The next moment, she dove into the pool like a mermaid, swimming several dozen meters in a flash.
Her ink-black hair billowed around her in the water. With a SPLASH, she lifted her face from the water, propped her arms on the edge of the pool, and looked at them in confusion. "What are you all standing around for?"
