Chapter 1245: Chapter 1246: Abyssal Demon Octopus
A slight wisp of insignificant Demonic Qi wafted from the tip of the tentacle.
"Indeed..."
The moment the Three-Colored Light Eyes confirmed this trace of Abyssal Demonic Qi, Green felt as if the explosive strings of anger within him had been plucked. Though it wasn’t as intense as the first time he saw the Demon Feather Phoenix after ascending to Stigma Sorcerer, the deep-rooted hatred engraved into his very soul instantly plunged Green into a chilling coldness.
The enemy of the Wizards!
The Ancient Wizards’ hatred for the Nameless Ancient Demon was embedded deep within every soul cell of their descendants. Whenever they encounter Abyssal Demons, the descendants of the Nameless Ancient Demon, they are deemed the enemy of Wizards without reason, without rationale, and are exterminated with full force.
Thus, Green moved.
The extreme abyss magic staff in his hand swung out suddenly, a deafening frost roar echoed, causing the uncanny creature to feel the overwhelming pressure from the sky that couldn’t be resisted head-on and fled with astonishing speed.
Boom, boom, boom!
A small cluster of extreme cold instantly froze a thousand meters of the Skeleton Land’s surface. The cold spread deep into the ground, and blue cold vapor ascended like steam, exploding into large ice flowers in the air with continuous "crackling" sounds.
The uncanny creature, having dodged Green’s strike, was evidently startled by the added frost power of this magnitude!
In the recent sensing, the frost power was merely an additional effect of the real strength attack. Under the complete control of Oblivion Sorcerer over their power, no energy was leaked, and it was retrieved entirely. Such control of power is truly terrifying.
Swipe, swish, swish!
The uncanny creature extended three tentacles from milky white jelly, swiftly slashing a triangular black rift in the air, from which countless globe-shaped objects emerged.
Subsequently, these unknown small spheres were activated by the uncanny creature’s will and instantly shot toward Green in the sky like cannonballs, creating a series of sonic booms and spreading ripple waves.
These spheres seemed like insect eggs, continuously twitching with "glug, glug" movements in an extremely unstable state. Seen through Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes, some showed faint red energy responses, posing a certain threat even to Green’s current level.
For other Sixth Level creatures, such an overwhelming, powerful attack could mean a life-or-death ace card, but not to Green who looked at these spheres without concern.
In the center of tens of thousands of meters of intertwined light and dark distortion, Green stretched out his empty left hand, pressing downward fiercely.
"Repulsion."
In an instant, the winds and clouds changed!
Under this massive, unbelievable repulsion wave, the insect eggs charging into the center of the swirling light and dark appeared as if sinking into a quagmire, getting slower, and slower.
Even at full effort to wriggle, they couldn’t advance an inch.
With Green’s final cold snort, surrounded by swirling light and dark, several scales and bone spikes burst from the extended left hand, and suddenly the eggs suffered a stronger repercussion from the repulsion force, falling to the ground even faster.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom...
Endless explosions actually emerged from the ground of Skeleton Land, bone fragments flew, layers of dense bone ash rose into the air, instantly blanketing a tens of thousands of meters area within dust.
However, this visual interference was insignificant for the many Casket Ascenders.
A handprint ten thousand meters wide was imprinted clearly beneath the mysterious black hole in the sky where light and dark intertwined on Skeleton Land.
The insect eggs were pressed into the ground by the powerful repulsion force, and the bone dust was merely the explosion outside the handprint. The eggs in the center of the handprint, forced by Green’s repulsion, went silent, becoming dead eggs.
With a mere raise of the hand, such power could destroy the heavens and earth.
"Hiss..."
From afar, the Poisonous Flame Centipede, barely defeating the last strong opponent, had just arrived beside the Demon Doll and Paper Man, witnessed this scene and instinctually gasped in shock, causing a momentary contraction in its dark red flames.
"Completely overwhelmed, no wonder this guy was sealed in the Dimensional Gap!"
The Poisonous Flame Centipede attributed Green’s "sealing" in the Dimensional Gap entirely to Green’s earth-shattering power.
"The speed advantage of the uncanny creature in face of such overwhelming force is ridiculous, without any chance of winning."
The Paper Man muttered to itself, continually estimating its chances of facing the Oblivion Sorcerer head-on, yet the answer was blank, as if the soul will rejected the foolish idea of confronting the Oblivion Sorcerer directly.
Because that would undoubtedly be seeking a dead-end!
"However, if the uncanny creature could release its hidden strength, it might be more dignified."
As fellow Casket Ascenders, after thousands of years of contact, the other three could clearly sense the suppressed stronger power within the uncanny creature, although still not enough to face the current Oblivion Sorcerer directly, but at least not like now with nearly no room for resistance.
The Demon Doll remained silent, watching Green in the sky, continually converging the vast sky’s light and dark.
Ground.
In the center of the tens of thousands of meters wide handprint, an octopus-like creature appeared stuck in a glass bottle. The protective layer of milky white jelly around the wholly red soft-bodied organism was crushed by this terrifying blow, growing larger with every breath until it restored to a hundred-meter-wide octopus monster covered in suction cups.
Though this was already the utmost control over its bloated size.
"Oblivion Sorcerer, I concede."
On the giant octopus, Demonic Qi swirled, indistinguishable from the former Demon Feather Phoenix, clearly conscious of the huge chasm between them, actually admitted defeat purposefully.
After all, for these Abyssal Demons, though they were quite powerful, compared to some bizarre rules world within certain world communities giving birth to million-year mutation monsters, they were still too weak.
True top-tier Abyssal Demons, those Demon Ancestors, how would they be willing to dispatch them into Dimensional Esophagus, a place brimming with unpredictable dangers?
"Concede? It seems your understanding is even more deficient than that of the Demon Feather Phoenix. Has Wizard history ceased to circulate in the Abyssal World? However... The Wizard World wishes, every day, every moment, every wizard, to invade your Abyssal World, hanging your corpses atop the Sorcerer’s Tower, as eternal glory!"
Green roared in a low voice, his sound filled with indescribable rage, yet slightly icy.
"Rest assured, I will leave your body intact to make a specimen, just like that Demon Feather Phoenix."
Demon Feather Phoenix? Wizard World?
The Abyssal Demons dispatched into Dimensional Esophagus by the Abyssal World were many, yet most had fallen into different timelines due to temporal dislocation and were digested over the long epochs by Dimensional Esophagus, thus it hadn’t heard of the Demon Feather Phoenix body.
As for the Wizard World?
Regrettably, the Wizard World sees the Abyssal World as eternal enemy because as the defeated party, the Wizard World retains a more unforgettable memory.
In contrast, regardless of how brutal the ancient battle was, the Abyssal Demons as descendants of the victors mostly don’t delve into archaeology about the Wizards who were vanquished by the Abyssal World, because the worlds defeated and assimilated by the Abyssal World are far too many.
Like most modern Wizards, it’s tough to narrate the Alien Nightmare civilization faced by the Ancient Wizard World.
Though it was also a brutal victory, a victory is a victory.
Only the defeated harbor hatred and longing.
