Chapter 1933: Chapter 472: Replaced and Let Go (Part 5)

The woman slowly straightened up, only to hear a clear and pleasant voice beside her: "I will cooperate, ask whatever you want to ask."

Amidst the storm and rain outside the window, this gentle voice brought a sense of peace to the heart.

Husi took out his notebook, ready to ask questions while standing, when the Princess spoke: "Please sit down."

Husi hesitated for a moment, walked over to the sofa and sat down, a delicate-looking maid served hot tea in front of him.

"Thank you." Husi smiled at the maid.

The maid calmly retreated to the girl’s side.

Husi spread open his notebook, took out a recorder, "The night before last, Prince Agunara and Young Master Lorde had a dispute because of you, is that correct?"

"Yes, I was unwell at the time and left the banquet early, only to be bumped into by Prince Agunara on the second floor west wing. He was somewhat drunk and intended to act improperly towards me, luckily Young Master Lorde happened to pass by and saved me, but Prince Agunara was dissatisfied and fought with Young Master Lorde..."

It sounded like a fair perspective, unbiased, the gentle voice made one feel comfortable.

Husi asked a few more questions and then closed his notebook, "Sorry to trouble you."

"I didn’t expect such a thing to happen to Prince Agunara, I hope the officer can catch the real culprit soon, to honor the Prince’s spirit in heaven."

"We certainly will." Husi got up and left the room, the delicate maid escorted him to the door.

The door closed slowly behind him, he glanced back, the girl’s thin and slender silhouette seemed even more fragile against the backdrop of the pouring rain outside the window, she never looked back once, he even barely saw her face, yet he remembered her ethereal and clear voice.

Yun Ya sipped some hot tea, smiled and said, "The rain is getting heavier."

"Your father spoke to me, I’ll send someone to take you back, since you’re leaving, I’ll organize a farewell banquet for you, inviting some young people to enliven the occasion, the Princess has almost recovered, I’ll call her along."

"I originally hoped you all would cultivate more feelings, of the three, I favored you the most, didn’t expect...what a pity." The Queen said regretfully.

Lorde silently lowered his gaze, suppressing the abnormal beating in his heart, said in a deep voice, "There’s no need...."

"There is a need, we’ve agreed, no need to decline anymore." The Queen’s gentle tone brooked no refusal.

Lorde said nothing more, maybe deep down he had already agreed.

Gan Wei’er dressed beautifully for the banquet, hearing it was Young Master Lorde’s farewell banquet, felt some reluctance to part, leaving so soon.

She was accompanied by two girls, their family held significant status, but the three girls were always silent and low-key, inwardly mocking the unqualified, her uncle was the Queen’s confidant, overseeing the Four Great Legions, on equal footing with General Gianna, it could be said throughout Country Bauhinia, except for the suddenly emerged Princess, she was the most noble.

Thinking of the Princess made her uncomfortable, never before had she heard the Queen had a daughter, she had always been the most noble, now even she had to step back.

The more she thought, the more uneasy she felt.

"Did you hear? Prince Agunara was murdered, they say it’s Young Master Lorde who killed him, didn’t expect he’d be so ruthless, to kill the Prince just to win over the Princess."

"The case isn’t settled yet, let’s not spread rumors."

"Young Master Lorde likes the Princess, right? Otherwise, he wouldn’t have fought with Prince Agunara for her."

"I guess so, after all, the Princess’s noble status and extraordinary beauty, Young Master Lorde liking her is very normal."

Listening to the whispered discussions of the three girls, Gan Wei’er bit her lips. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

She didn’t know why she was angry, whether angry at Young Master Lorde for raging for that woman...or at these people for praising that woman in their words...

"Don’t talk nonsense, Young Master Lorde couldn’t possibly be the killer, absolutely impossible." Gan Wei’er spoke, her pretty little face showing light anger.

The three, seeing the speaker was Gan Wei’er, simultaneously shut their mouths, Gan Wei’er relying on her uncle, the Queen’s most trusted general, had always considered herself the most noble, now suddenly a Princess emerged, she naturally became a joke, the three exchanged glances, seeing through but keeping silent.

"Why aren’t you speaking, turned mute?"

"You’re the one who won’t let us speak, we had no choice but to shut up." Said one round-faced girl.

"You...." Gan Wei’er caught sight of Lorde’s figure, immediately changed to a smiling face, spoke with what she thought was her most gentle and amiable voice: "Young Master Lorde is extraordinarily brave, how could he be a murderer, I believe in Young Master Lorde, he couldn’t possibly be the culprit."
