Chapter 310: Chapter Three Hundred And Ten

Delaney chuckled nervously. She took a small step backward, wishing the floor would simply open up and swallow her completely.

"It is not like that, Ines," Delaney tried to defend herself, her cheeks burning like hot fire. "We just... we went to sleep."

Ines did not believe her for a single second. She stepped closer and leaned in, whispering directly into Delaney’s ear with a highly conspiratorial tone.

"You do not have to be shy about it with me," Ines whispered softly, though her eyes were dancing with bold amusement. "We are sisters after all and he is your husband now. You should milk him as much as possible. You two are both young newlyweds. It is perfectly natural!"

Delaney’s hazel eyes widened until they were entirely round. She stared at her sister-in-law in shock.

"How can you say such a thing so boldly, Ines?" Delaney gasped, looking around the foyer to make absolutely sure no servants were listening to their scandalous conversation.

Ines simply shrugged her shoulders, completely unashamed.

"Well, I am speaking from successful experience," Ines replied proudly, patting her silk skirts.

Ines looked around the foyer carefully. Seeing that the foyer was empty, Ines quickly reached her hand into the small, hidden pocket of her dress.

She brought out three folded pieces of thick paper. She shoved the papers directly into Delaney’s hands.

"Here," Ines said quietly. "I brought these specifically for you."

Delaney looked down at the folded papers. Her hands were shaking slightly. She slowly unfolded the top page.

Delaney looked at the drawings. Her initial shock instantly amplified into complete horror.

The papers were not recipes for tea, and they were not patterns for new dresses. They were detailed explicit drawings of different, complicated sex positions. The ink drawings showed men and women tangled together in ways Delaney had never even imagined were physically possible.

Delaney quickly closed the paper, her face turning so red she felt dizzy. She tried to hand the papers back to Ines immediately but Ines refused to take them. Ines simply pointed her finger at the closed paper in Delaney’s hand.

"Try the second one tonight," Ines instructed casually, as if they were discussing the weather. "Straddle him completely and take the lead. Men absolutely love that. It drives them entirely mad."

Ines chuckled softly, highly pleased with her own excellent advice.

"What exactly are you teaching my wife, Ines?"

A deep, highly suspicious, and protective voice suddenly cut through the air behind them.

Delaney jumped in pure fright. She spun around quickly.

Rowan had walked down the grand staircase without making a single sound. He was fully dressed in a crisp white shirt, a dark waistcoat, and dark trousers. His blond hair was slightly messy, giving him a very handsome, relaxed look.

He walked forward and stood directly beside Delaney. He reached his large hand out and held the back of her waist firmly, pulling her close to his side in a possessive, affectionate gesture.

Delaney moved with speed. She quickly crushed the scandalous papers in her hands and hid them completely behind her back, hiding them in the folds of her peach morning gown. Her face was flushed with deep, terrible embarrassment. She could not look Rowan in the eye.

Rowan narrowed his eyes. He looked at his sister’s highly amused face, and then at his wife’s burning red cheeks. He knew Ines was causing trouble.

"I asked a question, Ines," Rowan said, his voice lowering into a highly warning tone. "What are you doing to Delaney?"

Ines did not look afraid of her older brother at all. She simply smiled her brightest, most innocent smile.

"I am just trying to help you, Brother," Ines spoke sweetly, batting her eyelashes. "You know, to spice up your bedroom duties. A new bride needs proper, experienced guidance."

Rowan’s jaw dropped slightly. He stared at his sister in disbelief. The sheer, bold audacity of her words completely stunned him.

He did not want to discuss his private bedroom duties with his little sister. The very thought of it made his skin crawl with awkward horror.

Rowan threw his head back and shouted toward the drawing room.

"Carcel!!!" Rowan shouted loudly, his deep voice echoing fiercely off the walls of the foyer. "Come and get your wife immediately!"

A few seconds later, the Duke of Carleton walked calmly out of the room. Carcel looked entirely relaxed and perfectly handsome.

Carcel walked over and stood directly beside Ines.

"Is there a problem, Rowan?" Carcel asked mildly.

"Your wife is harassing my wife," Rowan pointed a finger at Ines. "Please remove her from my foyer before I lock her in the carriage."

Carcel sighed softly. He turned to Rowan with a very calm, slightly scolding expression.

"Please, Rowan, lower your voice," Carcel requested politely, acting exactly like a devoted, protective husband. "My Duchess does not like loud voices in the morning. It upsets her delicate nerves."

Ines immediately turned to Carcel, completely playing along with his protective act. She placed her hand over her heart, looking deeply offended.

"Carcel," Ines complained, pouting her lips beautifully. "Brother is not grateful for what I have done for him at all. I was only trying to be a good sister."

Carcel smiled warmly at his wife. He reached his hand out and gently caressed her cheek.

"Do not listen to him, my darling," Carcel said softly, his eyes filled with adoration for Ines. "He is simply grumpy because he overslept."

Rowan stared at the two of them. He rubbed his forehead in frustration. "She was giving Delaney highly improper advice, Carcel! She is entirely out of control!"

Ines ignored Rowan words. She turned back to her brother, placing her hands firmly on her hips. She was entirely determined to prove that she was right.

"Well, as someone that has vast experience in the delicate affairs of the bedroom," Ines declared loudly and proudly, lifting her chin.

Carcel’s calm expression completely shattered. His eyes widened in absolute shock. He froze in place.

Ines did not notice her husband’s sudden panic. She kept talking, looking directly at Rowan and Delaney.

"I simply wanted to help," Ines continued brightly, her voice echoing clearly in the foyer. "Carcel taught me a lot of wonderful things on our honeymoon. He is incredibly skilled with his—"

Before Ines could finish her scandalous graphic sentence, Carcel moved with speed.

Carcel reached out his large hand and completely clamped it firmly over Ines’s mouth.

Ines’s words were instantly cut off. She let out a muffled squeak against his palm.
