Chapter 566: Have a Few More Kids
When Xu Mumu came out, she saw that the little one had stopped crying, and his tears had been wiped clean by them.
"Mumu, you’re up. Doudou is fine," Professor Song immediately said.
"I know, thank you, Grandpa and Sir Jian, for taking care of Doudou," Xu Mumu said with a smile, looking at the two, while the little one’s eyes were still a bit red, looking pitiful.
As soon as the little one saw his mom, he reached out for her, wanting to be held.
Xu Mumu picked up the little one as he leaned over, "Grandpa, did you feed him formula?" she asked, looking at Professor Song and the others.
"Yes, we did. He doesn’t need more right now; he’s not hungry," Professor Song quickly answered. When they saw him crying earlier, they were heartbroken, but thankfully, he stopped crying now.
Xu Mumu nodded; it was good that the little one ate. If not, she would have fed him herself.
After breakfast, since the weather was a bit chilly, Xu Mumu was worried he might catch a cold, so she wrapped a scarf around the little one.
This scarf was specially made by Madam Chen, using rabbit fur. The skins were already tanned and soft, and she had used them to make linings for the little one’s clothes, keeping him very warm.
"Want to go out for a walk?" Yin Yang asked with a smile, looking at Xu Mumu.
"Sure, let’s go for a walk," Xu Mumu nodded.
Outside the neighborhood, it was still quite lively. Since it was still during the New Year, everyone was on holiday, and those working or studying outside had returned home.
The little one was quite a local celebrity. As soon as they came out, many greeted Xu Mumu and them, and even two people gave Doudou red envelopes.
Luckily, Yin Yang was prepared, and after receiving red envelopes for Doudou, he reached into his bag and handed out red envelopes to the other people’s kids.
"I didn’t know our Doudou was so popular," Xu Mumu said with a smile after giving the little one a kiss on the cheek.
"Of course, our Doudou is so well-behaved, everyone is sure to love him," Yin Yang replied with a smile.
The little one’s courage had grown quite a bit; now, outside, he wouldn’t cry just because someone wanted to touch him. He even smiled back when others teased him.
Every time the little one smiled, Song Fuxiao felt her heart melting.
The two walked around outside, and the little one loved being outside. Xu Mumu had no idea why he liked it so much, especially being carried around and strolling; he was especially fond of it.
Xu Mumu had no doubt that if this little one could walk, he would want to be outside running around every day.
After walking around outside, the little one’s cheeks were cold, so Xu Mumu and Yin Yang headed back.
Even though the little one inherited her superpower, his body was indeed strong. But still, he was too small, and the spring hadn’t arrived yet. Staying outside in the cold for too long would surely make him sick.
As soon as Xu Mumu and the others got back, they were faced with two accusing eyes.
"Sis, you went out to play and didn’t take me," Fengfeng looked at his sister with grievance. He had eaten breakfast early, and even put his favorite candies in his bag to go find his sister to play, but when he arrived, only Professor Song and the others were there.
"It’s my fault, how about I let you hold Doudou as an apology?" Xu Mumu said with a smile, pinching the little one’s cheek, as the little one looked displeased. Xu Mumu swiftly offered her son in compensation.
"Okay," the little lad’s eyes immediately lit up. He had wanted to hold Doudou so many times before, but his sister and the others wouldn’t let him, fearing he might drop Doudou.
Now, with his sister there, and she was letting him hold Doudou, his previous displeasure vanished instantly.
Fengfeng reached out to hold Doudou, and with both kids supported by Xu Mumu. After the New Year, Fengfeng grew another year older. Even though the little one grew a bit taller, he still couldn’t hold Doudou entirely by himself.
Both kids were bundled heavily, looking almost like little round balls. Holding the two round balls together looked a bit funny. Xu Mumu had to support the little one; otherwise, he would definitely fall.
"Sister, Doudou is so soft," Fengfeng said, rubbing his face against Doudou’s cheek. His little nephew’s face was soft, and besides liking to rub against it, he also enjoyed poking Doudou’s face with his fingers, creating little dimples each time.
"Be gentle, or you’ll make Doudou cry, and you won’t be able to calm him down," Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"Sister, I know. Mom and Grandma have said it many times; I won’t forget," the little one said seriously.
"You’re implying I’m nagging, aren’t you?" Xu Mumu chuckled, pinching his cheek.
"I don’t mind. I like Sister the most," the little lad grinned, showing a goofy smile.
"You little flatterer," Xu Mumu’s mouth twitched, and after letting the little one hold Doudou for a bit, Professor Song and the others couldn’t stay still and took Doudou back to play with toys, and Fengfeng joined in.
With people at home looking after the child, in the afternoon, Xu Mumu went with Yin Yang to the villa to see it, as Yin Yang had mentioned it was ready for them to move in after airing it out for a month or so.
Since they hadn’t moved in yet, they took this chance to check if there was anything they didn’t like so they could make changes if needed.
Following Yin Yang to the villa, the area was relatively quiet, with not many residents. Many didn’t have their whole family living there, so there weren’t many people spending the New Year here.
The area had fewer people, so Xu Mumu and Yin Yang walked leisurely around. The landscaping around the area was very well done, creating a great environment that Xu Mumu quite liked.
When they arrived at the villa, it had indeed almost finished its decoration. Yin Yang showed Xu Mumu around.
Xu Mumu highly approved of Yin Yang’s taste. Rooms were decorated in a noble and cozy manner, and the room prepared for the child had various toys. The crib for the child was also quite exquisite.
"Wow, it’s so beautiful here. If only Doudou were a girl, we could buy lots of pretty little dresses," Xu Mumu said excitedly.
"Let’s not have more kids; it was so painful for you last time with Doudou," Yin Yang said, feeling reluctant to let Xu Mumu go through it again when the topic of having more children came up.
"Our business is so large; just having Doudou would be too much for him. It didn’t hurt that much giving birth; let’s have a few more," Xu Mumu said with enthusiasm. She wanted to have more kids and to have both a son and a daughter—that’s what fulfillment meant. In her previous life, she was an only child, which was too lonely, and preferred the lively Xu Family with lots of children.
As for the possibility of future sibling rivalry, Xu Mumu believed that she and Yin Yang could definitely raise their children well, so that situation wouldn’t happen.
Yin Yang looked at Xu Mumu helplessly. He also liked having more kids, but he didn’t want Xu Mumu to suffer. Yet this girl was so excited.
