Chapter 99: Reaping the rewards
"Husband, I am back," Madam Li slowly opened the door to Gu Fan’s room and called out for him.
After spending hours forcefully restructuring the clan’s internal affairs and officially placing her newly bought elders in charge of the alchemy halls, the exhausted Madam Li finally made her way towards the Golden Lotus Pavilion.
She was incredibly proud of what she did, but at this moment she desperately wanted nothing more than to just collapse into his strong embrace and breathe in his scent.

But as soon as she walked inside the room she stopped dead in her tracks in confusion.
The room was dimly lit, with the bright spirit-stone lamps intentionally turned off.
The large room was beautifully illuminated by dozens of small, flickering, aromatic candles that had been carefully placed all around the polished jade floor alongside thousands of scattered, deep red rose petals, filling the air with an intoxicating, sweet scent of blooming jasmine and roses.
And in the centre of the room, a wooden table was placed and meticulously set with a mouth-watering feast of perfectly roasted Spirit-beast meat glazed in sweet honey, alongside several plates of fresh, rare spiritual fruits and a highly expensive jug of premium, hundred-year-old plum wine he got from Su Mei.
Gu Fan stood beside the table with a sweet smile, wearing loose, comfortable dark trousers and a simple silk shirt that hung open to expose his chest.
"What... what is all this, husband?" Madam Li asked softly, completely stunned by the elaborate setup.
Gu Fan chuckled smoothly as he walked over to her, gently taking her soft hand in his and raising it to press a soft, lingering kiss against her knuckles, completely melting her heart with his sudden, tender affection.
"I read in an ancient text once that a lost civilization used to call this a ’candlelight dinner’, mother," Gu Fan explained softly, looking deeply into her beautiful eyes while he gently pulled her toward the lavish table.
"It is a tradition used to properly celebrate and spoil a woman." Gu Fan said as he pulled out the chair for her and gently guide her down into her seat.
"And since we were celebrating how you flawlessly side-lined father and took your first step towards taking over the entire Gu Clan like an absolute queen, I wanted to reward you properly before I ruin that dress of yours."
"Oh, Gu Fan!" Madam Li’s breath hitched in her throat and her beautiful eyes became incredibly teary as a massive swarm of butterflies erupted in her stomach, making her feel so warm, profoundly loved, and completely on cloud nine from the sheer amount of effort he had put into making her feel special.
After that Gu Fan sat across from her and poured them both a generous cup of the wine, raising his cup to gently clink it against hers in a toast, "So tell me, sweetheart, how was your day?"
"Oh, it was so good!" Madam Li’s eyes lit up immediately at the mention of that.
And after that they spent the next hour eating the delicious, tender Spirit-beast meat, and she recounted with great enthusiasm in great details about the chaotic Council Hall, giggling like a smitten schoolgirl.
She described the exact look of humiliation on Elder Gu Ming’s face when she threw the heavy Heavenly Treasure Pavilion blood-oath directly into his chest, while Gu Fan just listened intently, smiling warmly and praising her intelligence and her ruthlessness with every bite they took.
Soon the strong wine warmed her blood and her pale cheeks turned crimson and her eyes began to drifted down to stare at his exposed, muscular chest.
"You look absolutely stunning in the candlelight, Mother," Gu Fan noticed her gaze and murmured with a low, husky voice as he set his empty jade cup down.
His eyes lingered on her face for a while before his gaze began to trail down her neck before stopping at her cleavage spilling out of her tight red dress, "But you look slightly too dressed for the what I have planned for you tonight."
Madam Li blushed as she bit her lip, and just with his words, she felt her pussy clenching tightly and leaking with her hot, sweet Yin juices.

He reached across the table to sweep his arm over it, violently knocking all the plates, the roasted meat, and the empty wine jug right onto the jade floor with a loud, crashing clatter that shattered the quiet room.
"Someone is charged up!" Madam Li let out an amused giggle as Gu Fan grabbed her firmly by her waist, effortlessly lifting her out of her chair and putting her onto the centre of the cleared table.
As she lay flat on her back, she spread her smooth thighs slightly as she looked up at him with eyes full of love, but a playful smile, "Is making a mess all my strong husband is going to do, or are you actually going to come down here and ravage your wife?"
"You have become bold today, wife!" Gu Fan leaned down as he planting his lips against hers, pushing his tongue in her mouth, and kissing her such that both of them were soon panting for air.
Finally after he has tasted her lips long enough, Gu Fan finally pulled away from her, breaking the kiss as he looked at her breathless face.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Madam Li asked, with her eyes still half closed.
"Do you want me to look at the mess on the floor, Mother?"
"When the most exquisite and delectable treasure in this entire world is already spread out right here on my table?"
