Chapter 117: The Poison Valley Annual Tournament

In the massive town square situated right in the center of Poison Valley Town, it was bustling with an overwhelming excitement as the morning sun had slowly risen up to now linger over everyone’s head.

The temperature had risen, but it did not dampen the excitement one bit.

Today was the most important day of the year, for each and every clan and their younger generation of the Poison Valley Town. It was the Poison Valley Annual Tournament.

Thousands of spectators, rugged mercenaries, and wandering cultivators had gathered around the massive, heavily reinforced fighting arena made of thick blood-stone.

The arena was surrounded by towering grandstands and highly luxurious VIP pavilions decorated with the vibrant banners of the town’s major factions. The Gu Clan, Bai Clan, Song Clan, and even the Heavenly Treasure Pavilion and the Blood Iron Mercenary Guild.

While the tournament was an exciting event for everyone else, it wasn’t just a place for the local powerhouses to fight for dominance and supremacy.

The participating clans and their disciples desperately wanted to violently destroy everyone else in the ring, even if it meant going against their own fellow disciples.

It was their one true chance to show off their ruthless talent, because while the clans might get some reputation, the actual prize was something else.

Because the elders from various powerful nearby sects would also attend the annual tournament, looking to recruit the most talented seedlings into their respective sects.

Gu Fan wanted to have a look at the tournament himself so he rode from the Song Tianyu’s mansion in a carriage, but midway through the ride, he casually slipped out and joined the Gu Clan camp at the square, standing lazily at the very back with the other younger generation disciples.

And from the back, he looked up at the luxurious VIP pavilion designated for the Gu Clan.

Most of the clan elders were seated there along with the Patriarch and Madam Li herself.

The Matriarch was seated right in the center on a massive carved wooden throne, wearing a high-neck crimson silk robe that clung so tightly to her curves that her massive breasts bulged aggressively against the silk, straining the material so much that the surrounding men couldn’t help but gulp nervously as they stole glances at her.

’You can only stare,’ Gu Fan thought, pitying the poor men, but then his gaze turned towards his father beside her dear mother.

Sitting right beside her was the Patriarch Gu Yangtian, but he looked incredibly sullen and moody. He wore a deep, frustrated frown on his face and was sitting slouched in his chair like a defeated man who already realized he was no longer truly in charge of anything, even his own family.

And behind them, Gu Fan easily recognized the guards standing rigidly around the pavilion stage.

They were no longer his father’s men.

They were the guards from his mother’s inner courtyard, and every single one of them was wearing a brand new pair of ’Windchaser Boots’ that Gu Fan had provided her.

’Mother... You work so fast,’ Gu Fan looked at Madam Li in appreciation, ’I will have to reward her thoroughly.’

And just when he was making plans on how to reward Madam Li, a loud, heavy horn echoed across the bustling town square, instantly drawing everyone’s attention toward the northern street as the Bai Clan finally marched towards the Town Square making their grand entrance.

However, instead of the highly arrogant, deeply intimidating display of absolute power that the crowd entirely expected from one of the town’s undisputed powerhouse, the Bai Clan procession looked absolutely miserable and pathetic.

Bai Haoran, the usually proud and highly aggressive Patriarch of the Bai Clan, walked at the very front of the group, but his face looked incredibly haggard, his eyes were heavily bagged from intense stress, and his usually pristine white martial robes looked slightly faded and worn out. It looked like the poor guy had grown several decades older since the Hunting Competition.

The dozens of Bai Clan elders walking closely behind him didn’t look any better with their faces looking grim and pale.

And the so-called elite disciples looked entirely starved of resources, gripping older, clearly damaged weapons that desperately needed to be repaired.

"Heavens, look at the Bai Clan... they look like absolute beggars," a burly, fat mercenary standing not far from Gu Fan muttered loudly, pointing his thick finger at the exhausted disciples, "I heard rumours that they lost a dozen massive trade caravans last week."

"And thanks to Gu Clan, their Spirit Stones circulation has dropped down enormously."

"It’s worse than that," another rogue cultivator laughed mockingly, crossing his arms with a cruel sneer, "From what I have heard even the weapon shops and the two guilds have cut them off completely because they haven’t paid their dues, they are practically bleeding resources just to attend this tournament today."

Gu Fan may have written this world once, but even after getting thrown into his own story, he was still continuing to decide the fate of everyone around him.

He shifted his gaze toward the center of the Bai Clan group and instantly spotted Bai Bing walking coldly along with other disciples, wearing her signature icy blue dress that perfectly hugged her body.

While her face looked completely nonchalant and icy to the public, her blue eyes were actively darting around the massive crowd, desperately searching for something among the sea of faces.

And soon she found what she was looking for. The absolute second her eyes locked with Gu Fan’s standing at the back of the Gu Clan disciples, her cold expression completely melted away.

She bit her lower lip and a deep flush spread across her cheeks, as she instinctively looked down, avoiding eye contact. Just looking at Gu Fan’s face reminded her of last night, and how he had pumped her womb full of his hot seed.

Gu Fan smiled when he saw her reaction and the moment she looked at him again, he winked at her, and sent her a subtle kiss.

And it was enough to make the supposedly pure Ice Fairy practically wet her panties right there in the middle of the town square before she quickly hid behind one of the elders, not wanting to lose herself under his gaze.

Meanwhile, as Bai Haoran led his exhausted, completely bankrupted elders up the stone steps toward their designated seating area, he was forced to walk directly past the Gu Clan’s highly lavish pavilion.

He kept his head down, desperately trying to avoid eye contact and save whatever pathetic face he had left in front of the massive crowd, but Madam Li wasn’t going to miss this chance to have a little fun. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"My Heavens, Bai Haoran... You actually came," Madam Li looked at Bai Haoran feigning surprise, "I almost did not recognise you. You have lost so much weight!"

"Why don’t you share the secret with me?"
