1689 Begging 3
Qing was different from Sword One.
Qing was always very hesitant, so Gu Chaoyan did not want her to stay indoors and reflect on what she had done. She had made the choice, so she should either go for it straightforwardly, and learn the result as soon as possible.
Hearing her urging, Qing brought herself out from her chaotic contemplation. She sorted through the arrangements, and felt both cheerful and glad.
Gu Chaoyan glanced back at Qing and saw the look on her face, realizing what choice she would eventually make.
The wagon from Xinlin Mansion went into the court, passed the gate and stopped. Then they headed directly inside.
The King and Gu Chaoyan did not like each other, but he did not stop Gu Chaoyan from coming into the court, so Gu Chaoyan had access to everywhere.
After the gate, Gu Chaoyan took Qianqing Palace and the others to pass by Qianqing Palace and headed into the palace that Ouyang Mingjing lived in.
The guards in front of the palace showed a look of surprise when they saw Gu Chaoyan. Then they turned around and went into the palace to pass on her message.
Gu Chaoyan was very obedient. She waited for them outside the gate until the guards came out, greeted her and took her in.
Ouyang Mingjing was seated in the yard, and had water prepared to make the tea, as if he knew that Gu Chaoyan was coming.
However, after he saw who was with her, he was startled.
He was very surprised to see Qing.
His guard told her that this maid wanted to see him, but he turned her down no matter what the reason was.
The Elder told him not to keep this woman, but he had never gotten the courage to kill her.
So he decided to stay away from her
Unexpectedly… destiny played a joke on him.
She was right in front of him and she was staring earnestly at him.
Ouyang Mingjing stopped looking at them, but continued to work on his own business. He played with the tea whilst saying to Gu Chaoyan with a lowered head. “Feng Le, have a seat, please. The tea will be ready soon. I brought the snow from the Snow Territory, and the tea is a snow lotus flower from the Snow Territory. I noticed that you love tea, so I had a few prepared for you. The tea is very precious, and you must taste it. If you like it, you may be willing to visit us in the Snow Territory.”
Ouyang Mingjing sounded as if he were a young man who was full of expectation, despite his composure.
Gu Chaoyan was still looking at Qing’s fingers which were twisting the handkerchief.
Gu Chaoyan did not answer Ouyang Mingjing’s speech. He was still in the middle of brewing the tea, despite them ignoring him.
When the tea was ready, it gave out an excellent scent, through which, the outline of the Snow Territory seemed to be reflected clearly.
Gu Chaoyan did taste the tea Ouyang Mingjing gave to her earnestly, either out of her interest in tea or due to etiquette.
The first sip gave out a cold feeling. The second sip led to the scent of snow lotus flower. The third sip made her taste the freshness, and after the fourth sip, Gu Chaoyan put down the teacup.
Ouyang Mingjing also stopped staring at her, but still kept a small smile.
“Head. I am here to discuss something with you,” Gu Chaoyan said to him seriously.
“Oh, what do you need from me? Ask me anything, I will surely help you, as long as I am able to!”
