Mr. Fang didn't have the time to get angry or play around with words, so he let him off the hook so easily.
"I don't have time to play with you when I have to make money, while you come around to be a distraction."
Chuanli felt insulted and held his chest with a twisted look on his face as if he felt real pain. "You are so mean!"
"I know, thank you!" Mr. Fang answered sarcastically.
"Who knows what sin I committed in my past life to be punished by knowing you today…" Chuanli said while shifting his gaze to his face.
'What a beautiful face being wasted on a black-belly man' Chuanli thought to himself.
"I have approved for the blood test," Mr. Fang said and immediately cut Chuanli off before he could start rejoicing. "Make sure your findings are worth the blood collection. I will leave you to deal with her directly."
By 'her' Mr. Fang meant Zhang Liling, and Chuanli understood.
There was a visible grin on his face while standing to his feet. "I don't know why you chose to make things difficult for me when you could just say 'yes' from day 1. Anyway, thanks for your approval."
Mr. Fang did not get the opportunity to threaten him because he left the very moment he said the last word.

From his office, Chuanli went straight to Bolin's office to find him. He knew that he couldn't ask Mr. Fang for Zhang Liling's contact, not after what he said, hence, he came to his other alternative.
Bolin saw the smile on his face as soon as he stepped into his office and knew that things had gone well.
"He approved of it. I don't know why he had to stress my life out before agreeing to something that will all be for his own benefit." Chuanli complained as he sat cross-legged on the only couch in the space.
Chuanli rolled his eyes. "Handle him? Who can handle him? He is the only one that can handle himself. No wonder he is still single."
Bolin wanted to ask why he was still single but refrained from doing that since he did not yet have an intimate relationship with him.
"Dr. Li, how can I help you?" He asked politely.
"That's right!" Chuanli was reminded of the reason he came back to his office and took out his phone. "Send Miss Zhang's contact to me, I need to give her a call."
Bolin picked up his phone from the right-hand side of his desk. He found Zhang Liling's contact and quickly sent it to him.
Immediately he got the message, he smiled and got to his feet. He thanked Bolin for his help before finally leaving.
As soon as he got into the elevator, he dialed Zhang Liling's contact. The phone rang for a really long time but no one answered.
'Could she be in class right now?' He thought to himself before dialing Bolin's contact this time around.
"Do you know Miss Zhang's schedule? Do you think she is in class right now?" He asked as soon as the call was answered.
Bolin quickly checked the time on his wristwatch before replying, "It's likely possible that she is still in class. You can leave her a text."
"Thank you!" Chuanli said and ended the call.
On his way to his car in the underground car parking lot, he saved Zhang Liling's contact before proceeding to send her a text which read…
'Hello, Miss Zhang! It's Dr. Li Chuanli. I need to see you urgently, please call me back as soon as you can.'
His tone sounded formal, but the smiling emoji he added at the end, ruined everything.'
He must have read the message again and noticed how serious he sounded, and decided to add an emoji to lighten the mood.
Zhang Liling only saw his missed calls and text after class. The information on his text, made her know it was from him, and hurriedly called him back after she parted ways with Tungmei.
"Hello, Dr. Li. It's Zhang Liling, did something happen?" Zhang Liling quickly asked as soon as the call connected.
Chuanli worked for Mr. Fang, and as one of the closest people to him, Zhang Liling respected him, so she was worried when she saw his text. Thinking that something must have happened to Mr. Fang, she became worried.
Hearing Zhang Liling's voice at last, suddenly brightened Chuanli's gloomy mood. His smile reached his ears as he said enthusiastically, "Miss Zhang, where are you now, can we meet?"
From his tone, Zhang Liling guessed that the matter was not serious. And because she recognized his voice, she directly told him where she was.
"I see that you just finished from a class. Can you come towards your university gates within the next 10 minutes?"
Chuanli glanced through his windshield and was in time to see the red light turn to green, and immediately stepped on his pedal.
His phone was connected to his car's Bluetooth which made speaking to Zhang Liling while on the road, very easy.
Zhang Liling checked the time on her phone before replying, "Okay, Dr. Li"
She had wanted to ask if Mr. Fang knew about their meeting, but he already ended the call before her lips could move.
'What a fast guy!' She thought
Thinking about Mr. Fang, Zhang Liling realized that she didn't have his contact, and hoped that one day she would be able to have it.
With her phone in hand, she started making her way towards her school's gate, which would take her a few minutes.
This was the disadvantage of attending a big college when you have no car. During summer, you will trek in the sun and rain without a choice.
"Maybe I need to get an umbrella!" Zhang Liling said to herself as the harsh sun rays hit her head. The feeling of the sun rays hitting her directly was scorching….
She couldn't wait to step into Chuanli's car and cool off with the help of the air-conditioning.
