"I'm doing great. I just received the approval letter to be transferred back home." Song Jujing revealed in an excited mood.
"Really?" Liling was very happy to receive this good news.
Since today, her day has been moving from one good news to another, and she hoped more would keep coming.
Today was not the first time her mother was mentioning about her dream to return to her roots. At first, she had talked about retiring, but facing off the trouble of not being idle that's didn't suit well with her.
Since she was used to working hard, she figured that she might not survive with being so carefree about life hence, she optioned to keep her position.
At least she could continue to do what she knows how to do best until she got tired of it.
Before she permanently retires, she would have found something else that would interest her. Maybe gardening wouldn't be that bad.
"Yes," Song Jujing confirmed. "Now, I just need to start tidying up things as quickly as possible."
With the approval letter confirmed, it was only left for her to give the board the date she would be leaving, so the office back in her home country would be vacated for her.
"How long will that take you?" Liling probed, seemingly very invested with her mother's interest, rather than on the very reason she had phone her in the first place.
Song Jujing thought carefully for only a few seconds before giving her response. "Two weeks at most. I would want to take one last quick tour here... Hahaha... In order to make things move quickly, I will have to employ the help of the movers to help gather a lot of things and ship them out."
"Would you be going back to my apartment to stay?" That was the only housing option her mother has at the moment.
As she didn't have any connection with her father, Zhang Renshu, or her own family line, she couldn't move back to any of their houses, so she was left with the only option of going to live in the apartment she used to live in before moving in with Fang Bingwen.
"Although that's not an ideal home for me as my retirement would be coming soon, I can manage in there for at mist a year. The most important things is to leave Paris first. Once I come home and settle in the house and work, I will begin to look for a nice villa and buy for myself. I may end up picking up gardening as a hobby, and did that, I need a good private space."
"Not bad." Liling said in agreement. "I just know you won't be comfortable being idle even if you retire. Anyway, having a villa is good, at least you get to have enough space for your grandchildren to run around."
As soon as the last part of her statement reached her ears, Song Jujing got curious. "Are you pregnant? Will you be giving me a grandchild soon?" She beamed with smiles.
"Hahaha...Not yet mum." Liling said , immediately countering her ideas.
"Oh!" Song Jujing seemed a little downcasted the next moment. "Then why did you call? I thought you had a good news." She joked.
Aware of her mother's ways, Zhang Liling didn't feel bad. "Mum, I indeed have a good news for you. Shi Wenqian will be put in her place sooner."
"How soon?" She probed while irking her ear further into the phone.
"A couple of hours before the wedding. Bingwen has handed the evidences of her crimes and involvement in organ trafficking, plus some papers that linked her NGO organisation to it. Also, we have the results from the DNA tests results we ran!" Zhang Liling revealed one after the other and only released a deep breath at the end.
Hearing this good news, Song Jujing couldn't be any happier, but there was something that piqued her interest after talking about Shi Wenqian's lawless crime.
"What about the DNA tests? Can you tell me more about it?"
With her mother's request, Liling left no stone unturned as she went on to reveal the details pertaining to the DNA tests she ran.
At the end, her mother was torn between being shocked and nonchalant.
"Although I am shocked that Zhang Mingyu is not your father's biological son, I am not surprised that Shi Wenqian can pull off a big dare like this."
"But mum, you mentioned that Dad ran a DNA test before Zhang Mingyu was born and it turned out positive. How come something like this could happen at the end?" This was what has been keeping Zhang Liling up on her toes.
This is also the main reason she wanted to reach out to her mother.
"It is exactly because the DNA test result proving that the male child in Shi Wenqian's womb belonged to your father, is the sole reason something like this could happen."
Maybe if Zhang Renshu hadn't rushed to get a paternity test done before the child was born back then to confirm his link, he wouldn't have given Shi Wenqian the massive opportunity to exploit things for her own means.
Maybe, is he had waited patiently for the child to be born back then before taking him to his own doctor to run the paternity test, he would found out the truth.
This was when he would have found out that the child wasn't his and right there, Shi Wenqian would have never had to enter the Zhang family officially.
After listening to her mother's logic, Zhang Liling finally found out where the big loophole was.
Is there any opportunity that woman wouldn't cease the chance to turn to her advantage?
At this moment, Liling was a little scared of her stepmother. That woman was very cunny.
"I hope the divorce signing is successful. This is the best I can do to save dad from that woman's formal entanglement."
Zhang Renshu would die several times if he was still legally married to a woman like that when such a heavy criminal verdict was passed onto her.
A long sigh fell of Song Jujing's lips. "Just be more careful, and keep me posted if there is anything."
