That was the sound that escaped when Zhang Renshu's palms landed on Zhang Mingyu's cheek.
Instantly, the young man heard a buzzing sound in his ear as his palm immediately flew up to his face to soothe the pain he felt on his cheek.
Zhang Liling who saw when the slap clearly, felt satisfied because she has never seen an unserious human being like Zhang Mingyu before.
He couldn't stay at a place without getting people in trouble. Sometimes, she wondered how he was raised.

"I am going to the Ong's residence now to do whatever I can to stop this wedding from crashing. In the meantime, make sure all the articles get taken down and a statement is put out there by this fool before I get to their place." He instructed.
Then turning to glare at Zhang Mingyu who looked like he just lost his soul, he added, "You better pray that this works out otherwise, I will strangle you to death myself."
Leaving that message and warning to both mother and son, Zhang Renshu stole a glance at Zhang Liling before stroding away in fury.
Meeting his daughter, he was shocked seeing here there as he was not expecting her visit, but due to the emergency of the current situation, he didn't have time to endorse her.
Shi Wenqian watched as Zhang Renshu's back quickly disappeared from their view, and it was only then that she got the chance to do what she had been aiming for.
Looking at her son who didn't seem to realize the situation he just put the whole family in, she walked over and without thinking it twice, she raised her left hand to slap his right cheeks.
'Paaaaahh!'
Seeing the angry gesture, Zhang Liling's eyes flew open.
The sound of this second slap was even louder than the one Zhang Renshu gave to him.
Was Shi Wenqian this angry?
Liling never expected that she would one day hit this precious son of hers. So she was this furious?

'Wow!' Zhang Liling muttered in surprise as she continued to watch the drama form the side.
Seeing his mother's anger, Zhang Mingyu even though he wanted to confront her about what happened to Mikayla, could only keep his mouth shut.
Already, he was in a hot pot of boiling water, and he should be crying for mercy so he would be brought out instead of being used to make a soup.

Since he was not allowed to retort, he could at least protect his eardrums from getting busted.

Seeing the commotion ongoing about her father's company, Zhang Liling couldn't watch her stepmother continue to display her greed as if she was not there.
'Wait a minute, does this woman think I'm deaf?'
Picking offence with some of her statement, she broke her scolding.
"Is all Zhang Mingyu's being alive to sit on that Chair that belongs to the Chairman of Zhang Corp? You know, not everyone can sit on it."
Hearing her voice from behind, Shi Wenqian left Zhang Mingyu and turned to face her.
"I believe your opinion is never needed in this family anymore, especially when it has something to do with business. If you are done watching the drama you came here for, take your jobless tiny self back to your room!"
"What!" Zhang Liling completely lost it with her. 'This woman is very rude.' She realized as her eyes glazed with fire.
Watching that vile woman throw insults at her, she felt like running up to her to hit her a few times. She really felt like beating her up, but could she really do that?
