~A few days later~
Today was a beautiful day in the hearts of many, including Zhang Liling who would be wedding Fang Bingwen, the man after her heart.
Mr. Fang was the man she made so much effort to chase and at long last, she won his heart over.
Today being her wedding day, Zhang Liling was so excited that she couldn't help staring at herself in the mirror occasionally while getting ready for the church service.
"You look so pretty." Song Jujing said as she appeared from behind while Zhang Liling was getting her makeup down.
Wearing a silky sleeveless long dress that suited her figure perfectly, Song Jujing adorned her neck with white pearls and minimal makeup, making her look so elegant.
Smiling to herself as she watched her daughter's smile, she placed her hands gently on her shoulder.
"Thank you mum!"
While smiling from ear to ear, Zhang Liling tried her best to stay steady for her makeup artist to finish her work.
Some minutes later, Tungmei walked in her wine-coloured bridesmaid dress. Her hair and makeup were already done and a simple pair of earrings and necklace adorned her ears and neck.
Smiling at her best friend who was almost ready to be a bride, She hurriedly announced. "The guests has started trooping in."
"They are right on time." Song Jujing said while taking her eyes off her wristwatch.
Glancing between her daughter and her friend, she spoke softly, "I will go make sure they are all settled in. In the meantime, don't let Bingwen or those crude humans in."
"Yes, Aunty, I will take care of things at this end." Tungmei promised.
She fully understood what her best friend's mother was talking about. Now, it will be her job to keep those people away.
"Tungmei, can you tell me when Jia Li and Mr. Fu arrives?"
"Why? So you can run out of here?" Tungmei asked while giving her the side glance.
"Hahahaha..."
Zhang Liling could only chuckle softly after being caught in her thoughts.
There was no way she would sit still if she learned of her favourite couple's presence at her wedding. She would immediately leave the room to go greet them.
The previous day, Jia Li and Fu Hua had arrived the hotel Fang Bingwen booked for their International guests and that was the only opportunity Liling had to go see them.
She had almost annoyed Mr. Fang in the process, but seeing how eager she was to see them, and knowing that after the following day, she would solely belong to him, he gave in for the last time.
"Tsk...tsk" Watching her best friend smiling sheepishly, Tungmei clicked her tongue.
"Mrs. Fang, you better focus solely on getting ready because I, Tungmei will never tell you when they arrive so you better turn your attention to some other thing."
Knowing what her friend was capable of doing, Tungmei took it upon herself to stop things before it even started.
To protect the soft spot in her heart where her favourite couple lived, Tungmei refrained from mentioning anything about them.
"Tungmei get ready, I will surely defriend you after today!" Zhang Liling promised as her lips constricted into a pout.
If her best friend was not going to give her what she wanted, she was going to end their relationship.
"Yah! You better do it now. Don't wait till you finish using me so you can dump me." Tungmei replied while trying to hold in her laughter.
She couldn't believe the ridiculous idea her Zhang Liling could come up with.
To her amazement, the girl wasn't stopping there.
"If I end things with you now, who will be my bridesmaid?" Zhang Liling retorted while blinking her eyes cutely as the make up artist application a little blush on her cheeks to finish up the makeup.
Tungmei was speechless.
This friend of hers was a user. She dared to still think about using her to the end.
"Bravo! Well done Zhang Liling. Now get ready to go to the altar to get married to your Mr. Fang."
Rising to her feet as the make-up artist stepped away, Zhang Liling turned to face Tungmei.
"Don't you know, Mr. Fang and I picked up our marriage certificate yesterday. So already, I am Mrs. Fang. This wedding ceremony is just a formality."
Saying that with a proud smile on her face, Zhang Liling fanned her face with her palm in such a dramatic way.
"Really?" Tungmei was ready to tease her to the fullest now.
"That means I can run off with your bouquet now."
Grabbing the white rose bouquet, Tungmei flaunted it in her front and even went on to twirl around for her to see.
"Tungmei, return the bouquet now!" Zhang Liling ordered through gritted teeth while clutching the sides of her Cinderella-styled wedding dress.
There were other people in the room that included the videographer, make-up artist and wedding dress designer, but these two women did not mind.
As Tungmei refused to return the bouquet, Zhang Liling decided to give her a chase, instantly in-scribing fear in the hearts of others.
"Miss you can run in that dress you may trip and fall." The dress designer cried out in fear as she gawked at them.
"Miss, you will ruin your makeup!" The make-up artist cried out.
Seeing how she can easily sweat while engaging in that kind of exercise, The makeup artist tried to stop her on time, but who was Zhang Liling?
She wouldn't rest until she got what she wanted. But who knew she wouldn't be able to get what she wanted before she stopped this time around.
An important someone had to come in from outside before she could go back to respecting herself as the bride.
"What's going on here?"
Opening door and coming in with Jian Cuifen, Song Jujing was shocked with what her eyes had just seen.
Was it her daughter the bride that was seen running around the room while panting for breath?
Horror filled her eyes.
