Feeling the cold metal slipping into her finger, Zhang Liling's attention was finally piqued.
Immediately she turned her gaze to her finger and saw the pink diamond ring, her eyes popped out as her mouth widened in shock.
'W-What's...'
Even inside her head, she was unable to form words.
Shifting her gaze to Mr. Fang, she melt the calm pull in his eyes.
"Shhhh."
Knowing what she would probably do next, Fang Bingwen brough his finger to his lips to shush her.
"Don't shout. Don't," he said, rubbing her ring finger gently.
Instantly, Zhang Liling's eyes turned teary. "Can I at least cry, I can't hold it in anymore."
A soft sigh escaped Fang Bingwen's lips as he let go of her finger.
Spreading his arms, he said, "Come here."
The next moment, Zhang Liling got up from her seat and went to sit on his thighs to embrace him.
Burying her head in his chest, her muffled cries were heard.
Taking that as a cue to leave, the manager and the attendants, left the room, leaving the couple alone to enjoy the moment.
Now that they were alone, Zhang Liling's tone got a little louder.
"Why are you crying?" Fang Bingwen asked as he reached out to pay her head with a gentle smile on his face.
'No Reply'
"I didn't know you would cry. I thought you would have screamed the entire store down while jumping up and down. Were you that touched?"
This time around, Zhang Liling responded by nodding her head while sniffing.
Mr. Fang truly didn't expect that she would cry. What happened to the strong-headed woman who didn't know what petty years was?
But look at her now, she was basically crying because he gave her the ring she so badly wanted.
Maybe, he was just so good at bringing out any kind of emotions from her. Had it been he didn't play the games well, she would have reacted differently.
"Don't cry. How did you think I wasn't going to put a ring in your finger?"
"Y-You sounded so indifferent." Zhang Liling replied without raising her head.
Kissing her hair, Fang Bingwen replied with a playful smile.
"There is no real engagement without a solid proof and a ring is the most important. If my acting is so good, I think I need an award."
"Mr. Fang, you are so mean," she said while raising her teary eyes to meet his smiling gaze.
All this while, Fang Bingwen had been planning a beautiful engagement ring that would be to her taste, hence the delay.
Normally, he would have given it to her before their families met, but because of the delay in the shipment, he decided to give it to her today.
If she hadn't spoken about the ring while in the car, he wouldn't have given that kind of response, and her reaction wouldn't have been as deep as this.
In all, he was happy that things actually turned out that way.
"I really should take a picture of you right now if I was mean." Saying that, he wiped her tears away with his fingers.
From the beginning, that smile on his face had refused to be wiped out.
Raising her left palm to her line of sight, Zhang Liling finally smiled. "I can't wait to see Mrs. Fu."
"Why?" he asked with a look of interest.
"I can now speak to her in confidence because I'm no longer just a girlfriend to you, I am now your fiancée. The woman you will be getting married to soon."
Sensing the pride in her tone, Mr. Fang couldn't help but to chuckle lightly.
It looks like he had indeed done something meaningful for her.
"Don't cry again. You must be hungry. I will pay for the jewellery and then take you to enjoy a fine dining."
"Mr. Fang, what do you want? I must give something back to you." Zhang Liling asked out of the blue while still sitting on his thighs.
"I want nothing more than for you to be a well-behaved..."
While he was speaking, Zhang Liling watched how his light pink lips moved and quickly leaned in to press her soft lips on them, instantly shutting him up.
As she nimbled on his lips softly, she crossed her hands over to hug his neck as her eyes fluttered close.
Fang Bingwen wanted to warn her about the cameras in the room, but he couldn't distract her from giving him one romantic kiss he hadn't had in a long time.
Instead of stopping her, he went further to indulge her by wrapping his hands around her slim waist.
A few minutes later, they too broke their passionate kiss after a growl escaped from Zhang Liling's stomach.
"I have to feed you now."
Taking that as an excuse, he guided her away from his thighs before standing up after her.
"Pick the jewellery you want, let's pay for them and leave."
Without wasting time, Zhang Liling picked the three boxes as her gaze returned to normal, Befrje following him out
After paying for the items and having the packaged, Fang Bingwen took her hand and led her outside.
On their way to the high end restaurant, Zhang Liling asked excitedly, "What are we having for dinner?"
"Steak, red wine, rice, salad, soup, salmon, fries. If you want some deserts, I can ask them to prepare anyone of your choice."
"I think there would be enough food on the plate to feel my empty stomach," Zhang Liling smiled.
At the moment, she was very happy to request for anything special and understanding her, Fang Bingwen was left to make the choice for her.

Getting a beautiful engagement ring and enjoying a fancy dinner prepared my a Michelin Chef and chatting over a bottle of a good brand of red wine, usually left one with a beautiful feeling and Zhang Liling was not an exception.
Although their outfits didn't match the restaurant, that wasn't a problem.
Even after getting a bit high due to the wine, Mr. Fang didn't scold her. The only thing he could do was to try and control her, while watching her with a smile.
In his mind, today was her day.
