Being excited to shop a few things for Fu Hua and Jia Li's children, Zhang Liling soon forgot about the fact that she was not yet properly engaged.
With Fang Bingwen leading, the stopped at a popular high-end store that sold all kinds of stuff for children of all ages.
Picking up a shopping trolley, Zhang Liling pushed it to him.
"Do you have anything in particular we should get?" She inquired while her gaze was already staring through each station.
"No. We should get anything nice and beneficial." Fang Bingwen suggested while pushing the trolley at a slow pace.
His eyes were on nothing in particular.
"Good! That means there is no limit to our budget. This is going to be a fun shopping experience!"
Saying that, Zhang Liling twirled around in excitement.
Noticing the happiness that was radiating from her, a smile turned up on Fang Bingwen's face.
"What do you know about children that is making you so excited?"
"Nothing. I'm only happy because I'm going to be meeting a role model and that alone is enough to fuel my enthusiasm."
The thought of seeing Jia Li, buttered her heart up and she couldn't even help forgiving all her enemies.
The hate she had for her stepmother and Shu Rushi who didn't know her place, held no candle to the live she had for Jia Li.
The love was surely ruling over the hate.
Getting into the mood for a shopping spree, Zhang Liling took out her phone to check some contents online.
She needed to know the things in season that children liked.
Since she didn't have any younger one around her, she wouldn't know anything about it.
"We should get gifts in pairs for the twins. How old should they be now?" Fang Bingwen asked while staring moving up to the toy section.
"Five years old. Jasmine is eight or nine." Zhang Liling replied while browsing through the rows of different kind of soft toys aligned on the shelf.
Although her attention seemed to be divided, she still prove how smart she was.
"You really know everything." Fang Bingwen stated.
Since they were shopping for the children and not the adults, Zhang Liling and Fang Bingwen took their time making the right choices for the gifts.
From the toy section, they moved to the library section and then to the clothing section and in no time, two shopping carts were filled.
Looking at one of them that had things almost towering to her height, Fang Bingwen's brows furrowed.
"I think that's enough."
"Why? I still want to see if I can find any cute little weird stuff?" Zhang Liling frowned, looking dissatisfied with the situation.
Fang Bingwen refused to listen to her. He just knew that she would only end up getting out of hand the more.
Anyone who saw them might even think they had several kids somewhere and were shopping for them.
Seeing him remain adamant, Zhang Liling whined like a child. Pouting her lips, she crossed her arms, declaring her silent protest.
"How about we get some chocolates and candies for them, children still like stuff like that?"
"That, I can accept. Let's pay for these ones first."
Pushing the trolley, he led them to the counter to have the items packaged and paid for.
As there were a lot of things to carry with them, Fang Bingwen had some of the staff help them to carry everything to the car.
Seeing the whole of his trunk filled with shopping bags, plus the few that sat at the backseat, Fang Bingwen shook his head.
"If you but anything more than the chocolates and the candies you said, I will tie you up on the roof of this car and then place those stuff in the front passenger seat. Understood?"
Whether his threat was taken seriously or lightly, only Zhang Liling could tell.
At first, she was taken aback but the next second, the corners of her lips curled into a smile.
"Let's go." She said linking arms with him and leading him back inside the building to shop for some chocolates and sweets.
Fortunately, on this next trip, Zhang Liling didn't pick a lot of things. She stuck to her agenda thereby impressing Mr. Fang.
"Where is our next stop?" Zhang Liling inquired as she buckled her seatbelt.
"I think you should package your makeup products for Mrs. Fu," Fang Bingwen suggested instead of responding to her question.
"So, we are going to Glint?"
"Yes,"
"What would you give to Mr. Fu Hua?" Zhang Liling inquired with much interest.
Obviously, the wife and children were getting something, it would only make sense if the man of the house got something as well.
"He doesn't need anything," came Fang Bingwen's reply.
As for what was going on in his head, Zhang Liling had no idea about it.
"What? Who told you that?"
Who on earth said that men did not need gifts?
"He doesn't need any gift." Fang Bingwen insisted which didn't dwell well with her.
"You lie. Get him something. You have a superb perfume line that is recognized globally. Get him one or two scents from your entire collection."
"Yes, Ma."
"I'm serious!" Zhang Liling insisted as she didn't trust he was even listening to her.
"Okay."
Thinking that they were truly going to Glint, Zhang Liling shut her eyes and cover her palms with the back of her hand.
"I need a break."
After shopping for almost 2 hours, she was tired and needed her short limbs to be stretched.
But in less than twenty minutes, her eyes widened in surprise.
"Why are we at a jewellery store!" She asked as she stepped down from the car.
"What is sold at a store like this?" Fang Bingwen asked, throwing his car key to the valet before coming to stand at her side.
"You are taking me for jewellery shopping?" she turned her gaze to him to seek for an answer, but his response, caused her feet to falter.
"You wish."
