'This girl knew all this while and let me play myself like a fool,' Gritting her teeth, Mrs. Tang immediately started to look around her surrounding.r
'She must be here, somewhere laughing at me.'r

For this launch, Zhang was offering a free face massage section for all her guests that were interested, plus a free makeup done by a renowned makeup artist in the field.r
There was also an opportunity for the guests to have their deserts after eating their meal, while the models that were invited for this Event, sat at the stage as a competition was being held.r
Zhang Liling tried to come up with an idea where a few people would come up from the crowd to make up the faces of the models and the best out of them, would get a full package of makeup products that cost a good time of money.r
This was just an entertainment aspect of making sure that the guests did not get bored.r
Since events like this was not meant to take long, Zhang Liling made sure not to take a lot of time.r
As the event was coming to an end, she gave her guests a package to go home with.r
As soon as the party came to an end, Zhang Liling personally went to every table to thank the guests once again for attending her event while at the same time asking for their support.r
"We should go and say hello to your sister. Also, your father is there." Tang Enlai suggested while standing to his feet.r
Zhang Xiaoling was reluctant to leave with him because she totally wanted to avoid Zhang Liling, not after what she passed through because of this event r
But she didn't have much of a choice. Standing up to her feet, she picked up her purse and immediately followed her husband who was already walking ahead.r
Coming out from the corner, caused her to be recognized by some of the guests who were surprised that she came as well.r
"I thought these sisters are not in good terms?" An older woman whispered to her husband as she watched Zhang Xiaoling link arms with Tang Enlai while walking ahead.r
"Maybe they have settled their differences," Her husband replied.r
Walking up to the round table Zhang Renshu was sitting at with Song Jujing, Zhang Xiaoling and Tang Enlai paid their respects.r
Since there was nothing that concerned her with Song Jujing, she only nodded at her in greeting before turning her face away. As for the latter, she only scoffed inwardly and went back to ignoring everybody.r
"You came?" Zhang Renshu asked as soon as he saw her and replied to her greeting. r
He didn't bother hiding his surprise as he knew the history between the two sisters.r
Since when did that stubborn daughter of his start to have a golden heart? The Zhang Liling he knew was far from it.r
She seemed like someone who would stab her heart if it tried to change to gold.r
"Yes..." Zhang Xiaoling replied as she slowly let go of Tang Enlai's arms.r
With the way her father was staring at her, she knew he was expecting her to explain how she got invited to the launch, but she pretended to not have noticed his questioning brows and instead asked,r
"Mum didn't come with you?" r
This question was asked either to spite Song Jujing or for a simple reason. But whichever one it was, Song Jujing didn't care.r
"Whose show did you come for, did you think your sister was going to invite your mother? I'm still wondering how you two made up," Zhang Renshu said, revealing his doubt.r
Hearing him say that, Zhang Xiaoling quickly shut her mouth for she knew where they were. She couldn't provoke that man that didn't care about her mother in a public place.r
In the presence of his ex and her husband, he had already reminded her of the bad relationship between her, her mother and Zhang Liling.r
That alone was enough reason for her to put an end to the conversation.r
After chatting a little with her father and Ruth Tang Enlai who was by her side, chipping in a few words, Zhang Xiaoling wanted to leave, but Zhang Renshu was not having it.r
"Where do you think you're going? You came for Liling's event, yet you don't want to see her before you leave?" r
"Dad, Liling is not here and we really have to leave now, I'm tired." r
Zhang Xiaoling was tired. She was already looking for a way to escape before Zhang Liling would see her, but it looks like her father had other plans for her.r
Just before Zhang Renshu would begin to berate her, Zhang Liling saw them from seven tables away and smiled to herself.r
As the corners of her lips curled with a smirk turning up at the corner of her lips, she said her byes to the guest she was speaking with and immediately trotted over in her heels.r
"Look who we have here..." She said, giving a meaningful glance at Zhang Xiaoling while twirling the champagne glass in her hand.r
Seeing that smirk on her face, Zhang Xiaoling was tempted to wipe it off as she returned a glare to her.r
"Xiaoling, I think if you don't want to few reporters I invited to capture this moment, you should rein in your emotions." Zhang Liling said do blatantly, causing everyone at their table to turn their attention to her.r
Rolling her eyes one more time, Zhang Xiaoling three her face to the side, but her stepsister was not done making fun of her.r
"I can't remember sending you any invitation, were you so interested in my brand that you decided to come?" r
There was an evil smile on Zhang Liling's face as she probed despite knowing the answer.r
Seeing Tang Enlai, the man by her side, she could already guess her doubt, but she was making sure to use this rare opportunity to embarrass her.r
Immediately, Zhang Xiaoling turned her attention to her and as she was about to tell her off, Tang Enlai interrupted midway, doing his best to distract Zhang Liling.r
"Ms. Liling, you are so young yet you are doing so much for yourself. If I knew you were the owner of Glint, I wouldn't have gone so far to find an intation."r
By saying this, he was answering her earlier question.r
"Ah! That's right..." Trailing off, Zhang Liling didn't get to finish her statement as she left the rest her thoughts on her head.r
Glancing at her stepsister who looked uncomfortable in every way, she said to him, "If you were a close brother-in-law, this would not have happened. But I guess everyone wants to be private about their relationship these days."r
"Liling." Zhang Renshu called out, giving her a warning sign.r
If not for the kind of person she had proved herself to be at this age, he would have probably scolded her for finding trouble or glared at her.r
But seeing that she was no longer a clueless girl who had nothing better to do, he decided to give her that respect.r
Not wanting to be in the midst of a family problem, Song Jujing got to her feet, ready to leave.r
"Liling, I'm going to greet my friends form Paris, do well to come over and promote your brand yourself." r
"Ju..." Seeing that she was already leaving when he hadn't even gotten the chance to speak to her yet, Zhang Renshu was at a loss for words.r
He could only watch her walk away.r
'Why does she look pissed?'r
As there was nothing more to talk about, Zhang Xiaoling took her leave.r
Just as Song Jujing was heading out, she bashed into someone and hurriedly apologized. But as she looked up, she saw a familiar face.r
"It's been a long while," The man that bumped into her said with a neutral gaze.r
