With the air cleared up, so many people were unhappy including all the members of the Zhang Family.
After recovering from his shock over the news of Song Jujing's health, Zhang Renshu was back to his feet once again.
Hearing that his daughter was dating a member of the Fang Family, made him go crazy.
Zhang Renshu was mad with anger, and Shi Wenqian was mad with jealousy.
No matter furious she was, she couldn't say anything for fear of getting smacked on the face again.
She had also not forgotten her husband's threat of pouring hot water on her hence, she sealed her lips.
Unable to bear his daughter's intentions of marrying into the Fang Family, Zhang Renshu called Zhang Liling and tried to talk her out of it, but she matter got so angry that she unleashed her anger on him.

Breathing in sharply as her eyes narrowed at the door, she continued.
"I won't break up with Fang Bingwen because you are asking me to since I have known that you are only saying this because of your selfish interest."
"Zhang Liling, are you talking to me like that? Don't you know that I can break your wings if I want to?"
Zhang Renshu was mad hearing her scold him over the phone as he wondered what kind of woman she would grow up to be in the future.
How could she talk to him that way without reserve? It seems like she was lacking respect for her elders.
Zhang Liling did not have the strength to fan his ego and instead of apologizing, she made her stand known to him.
"Dad, the earlier you agree with me on some important things about my life, the more relevant you become to me. But if you oppose me for no reason, then it looks like we would have to part ways."
"What did you say?!"
"Dad, have a nice day and don't get too agitated. After all, you are old and still have so many ambitions ahead of you. Save your strength." She advised and terminated the call immediately, leaving her father to think about whatever he liked.
Why would she even care about his thoughts? It's not like his opinion mattered to him.
At least, Zhang Liling told him off at the beginning and towards the end, she sweet-coated her words by telling him that if he supported her decision, then he would have a place in her heart.
She had said this without minding if he cared about what she thought of him.
Those words she uttered were only a gamble, and if she succeeded, they would be for the best as getting him on her side would help her to face Shi Wenqian.
After speaking with her father, Zhang Liling called her mother and confronted her about the relationship she and her father had with the Fang family.
This time around, Song Jujing did not hold anything back from her.
Releasing a sigh, she revealed, "Fang Huiqing used to be my first love,"
This revelation was not too far-fetched from the ideas that came into Zhang Liling's head before today.
She had thought of this possibility but in another way. She had thought that her mother had dated Mr. Fang's father in the past, but as she listened, she understood the main point.
Fang Huiqing was her mother's childhood crush.
"Back when I was younger, our families were close and that was how I got to know him. Although I liked him so much back then, he only thought of me as his younger sister, so we never dated."
"Did his family know about this?"
"Hahahaha... Of course, who wouldn't know? It was so obvious. Even while in high school I used to stick around him. Because of our age difference, he was done with college while I was still in high school, and he had a girlfriend then, but I refused to give up."
'You were quite persistent.' Zhang Liling concluded in her head.
Now she could see why she would fall for a member of the Fang Family, and chase a man so relentlessly.
Unaware of her thoughts, Song Jujing continued.
"At every little opportunity I got to see him, I would stick to his side, and most of the time, I ended up displacing his girlfriend."
Song Jujing was quite shameless then, but she never tried to steal or seduce Fang Huiqing from his past girlfriends.
She only kept showing her face in hopes that he would be reminded of her existence, but the man's thoughts remained never changing.
When she finally saw him get married to Jian Cuifen, she did not have any regret because out of all his girlfriends, she was the only one she found worthy to be by his side because of his kindness.
At the end of her mother's story, Zhang Liling was left with so many questioning thoughts, but in end, only one stood out from amongst the others.

After thinking about it for a while, she couldn't find out who the winner was, and she was not to be blamed for thinking that way.
In the past, her mother still had high hopes for a man that had a girlfriend and never gave up right until she attended his wedding, and only then did she discover that she had no chance again.
But in her case, the man she fell in love with was single, and even though he scolded her and gave her a cold attitude for a while, she did not give up and was so adamant even going as far as faking papers to move into his house as a housekeeper.
