"Did you see who the woman was? Is she a socialite? What family is she from?!"

Shu Rushi went on to bombard her friend with questions, but at the end of it, she was breathless and feeling very uncomfortable due to the energy she used.

Still, she wasn't able to get the answers she was looking for.

"Aiyah! Rushi, I was unfortunate to not have caught a glimpse at the woman. Our table was so far, and during the time for a toast, I wasn't even allowed to leave our table... sighs..."

"Wait a minute!" Shu Rushi said as her shoulders slumped. "You didn't see the woman's face?"

Her tone sounded unbelievable with disappointment laced in it. Moreso, the anger was evident in her tone.

"Rushi, why are you so worked up?" Her friend who was also a fellow classmate as Zhang Liling and Tungmei inquired.

She just couldn't understand Shu Rushi.

It was okay to be taken by surprise due to the kind of news, but she was almost stepping out of line.

,m Her reaction suggested that she was angry at his new relationship, as if she owned him.

Why would she even act that way towards someone who didn't bother about her existence? Or should the choice of Mr. Fang's female companion be given to her?

Shu Rushi didn't see anything wrong with her reaction, and went on to defend herself.

"Why wouldn't I be angry? Just wait until I see who that woman is."

"If you meet her and don't like her, what are you going to do about it?" The curious voice asked.

Just what would she do about it? Did she dare to insult and fight her cousin's girlfriend?

"Until then!" Shu Rushi replied through gritted teeth as black lines appeared on her forehead.

She could already visualize scolding and telling off the woman her cousin found for himself. But then, her cousin's counter-attack came to her line of sight and she shuddered a bit.

Her memories pertaining to the kind of person Fang Bingwen was, were still intact. He would wipe her entire being from the face of this Earth if she dared to butt in, in his affairs.

But was she supposed to let things be?

'Rushi, what right do you have to interfere with Mr. Fang's affairs? You are indeed courting death.' Her friend who was over the phone thought to herself.

Shu Rushi must have been one of her best friends, but she still couldn't say certain things to hearing, or to her face because of her terrible character and approach to some matters.

Anyway, she was not about to cause a fight between them, hence she retreated back to the sidelines.

"Rushi, I have something to do really quick. Take care, I will reach out to you later today."

"Fine." Rushi replied and threw her phone at the space beside her whilst rolling her eyes.

She didn't even care if the call had ended or not, and this goes on to show the level of anger she was dwelling in.

Finally, the sound of a beep was heard in the quiet room.

Already, smoke was coming out from Shu Rushi's nose and ears. The fire of jealousy and anger ranging in her, could not be quenched so easily.

Even the maid attending to her, had to thread carefully.

Finally unable to contain her emotions, she turned to the servant beside her. "Get my mother here!"

While saying that, she reached out for her aching forehead as she slowly rested her back against the bed.

The back of her head dropped on the double pillows that was heaped behind her.

Shu Rushi was going to try and find out who the woman Mr. Fang brought to the party was from her parents.

And this was how she was going to find out that they left the party before Mr. Fang could arrive with his woman.

*******

Looking at the several items going into the booth of the car they were going back in, plus more that were still coming, Zhang Liling finally understood.

When Mr. Fang had told her that she didn't have to ask for anything before it would be given to her, it's now they she was seeing the evidence of his statement.

They really didn't ask for anything, and the old lady and Jian Cuifen were already piling the booth of the car up with fresh vegetables and freshly prepared ingredients for cooking.

Also, there were some leftover traditional snacks from the party that accompanied the other stuff.

The old lady had specifically emphasized that it was for Zhang Liling.

"Mr. Fang, if this is the benefits of coming back home, why do you then hesitate to come home often? I mean, look at all these goodies..." Zhang Liling said in a soft tone while gesturing to the items with her hand.

Watching her stand there in awe, Fang Bingwen shook his head.

How could he tell her that the reason he didn't end up fighting with her father in this particular return, was because of her presence?

Sighs...

He will just allow her to remain clueless. It was too early to be burdened by family issues.

"Why would I be bothered about coming back home for these things when I could buy them from stores with my money?" He said instead.

Zhang Liling shook her head disappointedly after he failed woefully to fall in line with her thoughts.

"Mr. Fang, you mustn't get everything with your money even if you can afford it. Sighs... Would you even understand what I'm talking about right now?" She asked as she turned to walk to his side.

"No, thank you." The man said with his ten fingers sliding into the front pockets of his pants.

There was a calm look on his face while exchanging glances with her. He seemed unbothered by anything in the least.

Zhang Liling sighed and turned around and went to stand by his side. "Tsk...tsk... I just knew it..."

She was yet to complete her statement when she saw Fang Huiqing, Jian Cuifen and the old Lady stepping out from the entrance door.

Instantly, her eyes lit up on seeing them.

Hearing the series of footsteps behind him, Fang Bingwen tilted his head to that direction before his full body turned to face the trio directly.

"Bingwen I know that you are in a hurry to leave, but you should not forget to take care of your health, and Liling as well." Jian Cuifen said as soon as they stopped three steps away from them.

To his mother's statement, Fang Bingwen nodded in understanding, and just then, he heard his old lady add further as she locked gazes with him.

"Wenwen, you know that Liling is younger, you shouldn't bully her."

Shifting her gaze to Zhang Liling with a smile on her slightly wrinkled face, she continued. "Liling, if he bullies you, just call me, I will come over at once."

"Of course grandma, I will make sure to give you a call if I am bullied." Zhang Liling replied as the corners of her lips crept up.

It would be so fun to tease Mr. Fang by reporting him to his family elder.

Just how fun would that be when she watched the black lines that would appear on his forehead?

At this thought, Zhang Liling giggled to herself.
