Mr. Fang rose to his feet and walked toward the nightstand and pulled out the second drawer before taking a key from it.
Walking back to the bed, he said to her, "Come,"
He knew that if he didn't make a move first, she wouldn't do anything.
Zhang Liling looked reluctant but got up to follow him out but before they could reach the door, she reached out to hold his right hand.
Fang Bingwen stopped in his steps. His gaze slowly followed her hand upto her face, but he couldn't see her expression because she had her gaze lowered.
She didn't dare to meet his gaze because she was afraid of his rejection, but to her amazement, he didn't shrug her hand off him.
When he continued in his steps without saying anything, she slowly looked up to glance at his side profile as a smile that reached her eyes spread across her face.
It looks like he was not going to hide their relationship anymore, and she was happy for that.
"You still have some things to pick up from your place, I will drive you there." Mr. Fang said as he led her down the stairs.
Zhang Liling was touched and looked at him like he was her light in shining armour.
Why was he being so sweet to her now that she was about to leave her side? He should have been like that since...
Nevertheless, she was going to enjoy his company till the last minute.
Walking through the hallway while still holding his arm, they came face to face with the butler and the housekeeper who had a shocked expression on their faces.
Butler Gu and Ms. Chu's gaze remained on the arm snaked around his arms as their eyes widened in surprise.
'W-What am I seeing?' Ms. Chu thought as her eyes nearly popped out from their sockets.
Butler Gu was in a better state then her. He was a trained butler so he was good at managing his emotions.
When Zhang Liling saw them, she felt a little awkward and almost took her hands off him. But on a second thought, she got over her embarrassment.
Taking her hands off him in their presence, was as good as denying him and their relationship which will make her look like a coward. And besides, they have already seen them, was it not too late to hide it?
'What does Mr. Fang think about this?' As she thought so in her heart, she shifted a curious gaze to his face.
She wanted to know what his reaction would be. Seeing him walking ahead with a calm expression on his face, she felt settled.
He didn't mind letting his helpers find out that way.
"Do you need help to pick up anything?" He asked with his gaze hovering over her head.
"Huh...?"
"Can you pack up your things at your place all by yourselves?" He asked again, this time around, he made his question clearer.
"Oh... I-I can do that myself." She replied.
On seeing the butler and the housekeeper, the first thought that crossed his mind, wasn't to shake Zhang Liling's hold off him, rather it was to see if it was necessary to appoint one of them to follow him to her place in ass she needed help to pack up a few things.
It was already late, and he believed that having more helping more hands would make things much easier.
But since she said she could do it herself, there was no need for him to ask for their help.
"Keep the lights one, I'm going with Miss Zhang to her place, we will be back in an hour." He said as their steps slowed.
Ms. Chu recovered from her shock and immediately asked, "Sir, do you need any help?"
"There is no need." He replied before continuing in his steps.
Butler Gu lowered his head for only a moment and raised it to watch their backs disappear from their view.
"Butler Gu?" Ms. Chu called out in a soft tone, with her gaze still lingering in the distance.
In response, the butler withdrew his gaze to look at her.
Feeling his gaze on her, she retracted her gaze too, and faced him completely with a speculative gaze.
"What is the relationship between Sir and Miss Zhang? I thought she was a servant?" She asked as her brows arched and her a glint in her eyes.
Butler Gu pursed his lips and released a soft figh. He too didn't know how to classify the relationship between his master and a fellow servant. He was confused too
But recalling seeing them holding hands, and from the way he used to be very lenient with her, concluded that there was more to their relationship.
Thinking carefully about his response with a contemplating gaze, Ms. Chu urged him. "What do you think?"
Ms. Chu was thinking that even if there was romance in their relationships, it wasn't okay because Zhang Liling was a servant.
Since when did domestic servants get close to their Master like that?
"I cannot conclude since Sir has not made any announcement yet. But from what I'm seeing, their relationship is closer than we think."
"Isn't Zhang Liling a servant? How did she catch Mr. Fang's eyes?" She asked curiously.
Stretching his gaze into the distance again, he calmly explained some things she was not aware of.
"What!" She exclaimed in surprise as she took a step back. 'Was that why she has expensive items?' she thought to herself.
A minute ago, she almost thought that she was a seduced who had seduced her boss into spending his time and money on her, but who knew that she was from a rich home?
"Which family is she from?" She inquired curiously.
"Miss Zhang's full name is Zhang Liling. She is from the Zhang family in City S." The butler replied and paused for a moment befire leaving this word behind. "I will wait at the sitting area for them to get back."
Ms. Shi didn't know how long she stood their with a contemplative gaze. Now she knew the reason Zhang Liling acted the way she does.
No wonder their Master would fall for her. She was totally from a different league.
'But why would a young girl like her from a rich home come to work as a servant in another person's home?'
