Zhang Liling happily waited for a response, and when it finally came half an hour later, she was shocked.
Mr. Fang's reply read, 'Zhang Liling, how did you get my contact?'
"What does he mean by that? This is not the surprise response I wanted!" Zhang Liling mumbled to herself.
She knew he would be surprised of how she got his contact, but the way he put it made it hard for her not to be annoyed.
He should be surprised and happy, not surprised and annoyed.
To his response, she gave a satisfying reply. 'Mr. Fang, we will start dating soon, it is only right for me to have your contact. You should save mine too if you don't have it."
In his office, Mr. Fang heard the chime from his phone and picked it up to open the text from her.
Seeing her response, he let out a deep sigh before putting his phone down and going back to his work.
Zhang Liling waited for some minutes but never saw any response from him. Her brows furrowed while gazing at her empty notification space.
"Was he that speechless with my response?" She muttered under her breath.
Sighing to herself tiredly, she checked the time once more and discovered that her mother's plane should have landed by now. She quickly put her phone back into her sling bag before getting off the bench with her eyes on a particular spot.
The young lady was now putting on an anitcipating gaze.
Soon, she was able to see the familiar figure of her mother walking toward her with a sunshade over her eyes.
She had a handbag on her shoulder, and the other hand rolling her big-sized luggage.
Song Jujing's hairstyle was looking healthier because she had gone to the saloon before going to the airport.
Her black wavy hair fell on both sides of her shoulders.
When the woman saw her daughter, the corners of her lips turned up in a wide smile. "Liling!" She called out happily.
Just then, a smile broke out on Zhang Liling's face as she quickly ran to her mother's side. For that moment, Song Jujing abandoned her luggage to give her a big hug.
"Mum, I missed you!" Zhang Liling said as she squeezed her eyes shut with her lips still turned up in a smile.
"I missed you too, now let me go." Song Jujing said in a low chuckle.
When Zhang Liling finally let her go, she pulled her luggage while staring at her with a knowing smile.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Song Jujing asked as they both walked side by side.
"You seem to take better care of yourself than I do for myself. Look at your hair, is so silky and shiny. Let's not talk about your skin, because it is mind-blowing!"
Song Jujing chucked at her facial expression. She was looking good because she was taking good care of her skin.
"When last did you go to the spa? Or get a beauty treatment? Don't speak as if all this healthy looks came without me doing anything."
Zhang Liling knew she was saying the truth, but also, she found this as an opportunity to exploit her.
"Mum, why don't we go to the spa tomorrow's morning or evening for the treatment? Even if you are not interested, just pay for me, and stay to watch me."
"We are still at the airport and you are already planning to start spending my money." Song Jujing asked while giving her a narrowed gaze, still with a small smile.
Zhang Liling smiled and took her arm with her free hand, refusing to let go.
"You are my mother for a reason."
"Shameless!" Song Jujing said with a low chuckle before going on to ask about her friend.
"What of Tungmei, how is she?"
"She is fine. She would have come with me to pick you up, but she will come to visit tomorrow since she wanted to give us some space alone." Zhang Liling replied as they stepped outside.
"Your friend is attentive. Tell her to come by in the morning and join us for breakfast. We will be going to the spa together after eating."

Now back to her apartment, Zhang Liling helped her mother to unpack her things and that was when she saw all the gifts she came with.
The young lady acted like a child and was jumping all over the place while screaming. At last, she gave her mother a hug.
After putting things in order, the takeouts she ordered arrived, but she ended up getting scolded before she could even start eating.
"You should have asked the housekeeper to prepare the meals. Tomorrow, I will make breakfast myself, I can see that you have a lot of things in your refrigerator." Song Jujing said after scolding her.
She had gone through everything in the kitchen and some parts of the house.
'She wanted to make breakfast?' Zhang Liling felt that she had heard the funniest joke. Her mother wanted to cook?
Song Jujing understood that she was making fun of her, but she just let her laugh all she wanted.
"You think my skills has detoriated because I have a Chef that prepares meals for me? I am not as dumb as you."
"Haha...haha..." Zhang Liling continued to laugh when she saw her mother's brows furrowed.
"Alright, I know your skills are great, but don't cook tomorrow, you must be tired. After my graduation ceremony, teach me how to make a simple native food."
"That won't be an issue." Song Jujing said in agreement.

As soon as Zhang Renshu learned that Song Jujing was in S city, he was elated and immediately asked to see her, but she rejected his invitation.
"I don't want people to misunderstand that we still have a relationship together. We will see on Liling's graduation ceremony."
Zhang Renshu respected her decision and went on to ask if she needed any services.
"If you want to look around the City, I will ask my second driver to take care of that."
Song Jujing would have loved to accept his proposal because that would make Shi Wenqian mad, but she didn't have the habit of looking for trouble first.
