"What! The results are out?!" Zhang Liling asked in surprise.
She couldn't believe her ears. She has been waiting for the announcement since, and now there was a positive news, she couldn't believe it.
"Yes, and I just checked mine. You should check yours!"
Zhang Mingyu sounded so confident as he replied her with a smile.
Zhang Renshu who looked disappointed before, suddenly became interested in the topic. And seeing his son smiling from ear to ear gave him the impression that he did well.
No one who failed would act the way he just did.
"Mingyu, you said you have checked your results, what grade did you come out with?" Zhang Renshu asked.
Zhang Liling on the other hand, was already rushing to bring her phone out of her bag. The people from the moving company could wait all they wanted.
She was not going to let a second pass by without checking her result.
At the question asked by his father, the corner of Zhang Mingyu's lips rose up as he announced proudly, "I came out with a second-class upper!"

Zhang Renshu didn't have his glasses on, so he had to brighten the screen and zoom the document a little bit just to see things properly.
With no time to waste, Zhang Liling recollected her emotions and went on to check the school's website.
Their results and grades were out truly.
Zhang Renshu was all smiles to see that Zhang Mingyu came out with a good grade. He wasn't even expecting him to do that well. Now, he was very proud and all his negative attributes and short comings suddenly flew out of his head.
"Good!" That's the only word that kept coming out of Zhang Renshu's lips while patting him on the shoulder.
There was this proud knowing smile that sat on his face and Zhang Mingyu couldn't be ever grateful to his mother for the opportunity to be recognized by his father.
Zhang Liling totally ignored them and was busy typing away on her phone. She wanted to see nothing less than a First-class Honours!
Because she was in their view and with how much of in a hurry she was, she caught the attention of the father and son.
"Zhang Liling, have you seen your results yet?" Zhang Mingyu asked, with the impression of a big brother.
He knew how good she was in her studies, and now that he made the second best result anyone in college could come out with, he expected that she would be in the same league.
Earlier, he was hoping that he would make lower second class Honours since knowing that his half-sister would probably come out with an upper second class Honours, but on getting the second best grades, he was looking forward to them sharing the same grades.
This time, it wouldn't matter if she was a few scores higher than him, as long as they had the same Honour grade, their father would treat him more respectfully than her.
Zhang Renshu also shifted his gaze to Zhang Liling expectantly.
Before he could urge her to hurry up, they saw her facial expression change to that of shock. Thinking that something was wrong, they were both about to ask what happened when she shocked them with a shriek.
"Oh my God!!" Zhang Liling screamed and jumped excitedly with her phone held close to her chest.
She couldn't believe what she has just seen.
She got the result she so badly wanted!
"Liling, what did you get?!" Zhang Renshu asked as his lips slowly curled up. He just knew that he could trust her.
The smile on Zhang Mingyu's face faltered a bit as he got curious too.
Zhang Liling's heart was full of joy and just wanted to continue screaming, but that wasn't a sign of a good culture. Also, her father was already impatient and was demanding for a response.
Turning to the direction of the two men, she turned the screen of her phone to face them as she announced with joy, "I made a first-class Honours!!!"
Both Zhang Renshu and Zhang Mingyu were in shock. She made a fist class Honours?
Zhang Mingyu couldn't believe it and immediately snatched the phone from her hand to view her result. Zhang Renshu was not left standing alone. He also leaned in to catch a glimpse of her result.
'She really made it.' Zhang Mingyu thought to himself in shock.
In actual sense, he made 2:2 while she made 1. What a huge contrast!
The young man was totally ashamed of himself.
Zhang Renshu managed to catch a glimpse of her good grade and felt even more proud. "Liling, I just knew that you got your mother's good genes! You have made me so proud!"
Zhang Renshu was still talking when she snatched her phone from Zhang Mingyu and turned to hurry away.
"Liling, where are you going?!" Zhang Renshu called out in surprise.
He was about to ask her to make any request she wanted. Even if she wanted a car, he was going to buy it for her, but she just ran away like that.
"Dad, I will speak to you later, I have to be somewhere!" Zhang Liling said without stopping in her steps.
She hurriedly got into the van and urged the driver to leave immediately.
Zhang Renshu who was still about to offer to drop her off, was speechless at her actions. How could she just get into the van with those people? She didn't even order a cab!
But somehow, he calmed down because those people wouldn't dare to do anything to her, not after seeing that she was his daughter.
Zhang Renshu and Zhang Mingyu stood at the spot and watched the van reverse and drive away.
