Chapter 1504: Demon In The Cave

“We did not move?” Wang Yu heard her words and rubbed his chin in confusion then said, “Stay here.”

After speaking, Wang Yu walked forward alone.

Just then, something odd happened. After Wang Yu took a few steps forward, he actually was behind Meng Xi.

“This...”

Seeing what happened, Wang Yu was surprised and mumbled, “Heh, how interesting!”

Soon after, Wang Yu suddenly rapidly ran forward but in just two steps, he reached Meng Xi again as expected.

“Haha! What’s going on?” This was the first time Wang Yu encountered such a situation so it was new to him.

Watching Wang Yu have fun, Meng Xi speechlessly said, “Enough! We can’t get out anymore. There is no way out in front!”

“Really?” Wang Yu stopped and turned around and said, “If there’s no way in front, we can walk backwards.”

“What?” Meng Xi puzzledly asked, “Isn’t that the same?”

“Nothing is the same in a game!” Wang Yu sighed heavily then walked backwards.

“Wait for me!”

Meng Xi did not wish to be alone in such a place so she quickly turned around and followed him.

Indeed, as Wang Yu expected, after the two of them took a few steps back, suddenly, the scene before their eyes changed and the two of them were teleported into a cave.

“This actually works?” Meng Xi was lost.

It seemed like charismatic people had it easy in the game as she had not even seen such basic tactics by the game designer.

“This game is played this way!” Wang Yu said with a lot of experience.

“You’re good, you’re good!” Meng Xi admired his abilities.

This cave was very empty and in the middle, there was a black altar. On the altar, there was a standing black stone pillar with a black gemstone on top of it which was emitting eerie rays of light.

There were seven to eight non-human-looking black monsters surrounding the altar.

Some of these monsters had metal rods in their hands, while some had wooden ones. But all of them had meaty wings like bats and sharp teeth which looked scary, especially the bright red light emitting from their eyes and their dragging black tail on the ground. They looked exactly like demons in a movie.

Hell Demon (LV70) (Elite)

HP: 300 000

MP: 200000

Skills: Flaming Demon Fork, Darkness Fear

Talent: Hemophile

Monster introduction: An extremely scary monster from the Devil World who enjoys fears.

Hell Goblin (LV70) (Elite)

HP: 400000

MP: 100000

Skills: Heavy Hell Strike, Darkness Fear

Talent: Hemophile

Monster introduction: An extremely scary monster from the Devil World who enjoys fears.

Looking at these monsters’ attributes, Wang Yu was slightly stunned.

In <<REBIRTH>>, the most direct way to judge a monster’s abilities was to look at its physical appearance.

The fiercer and stronger a monster was, the bigger it would be, and the opposite would be smaller.

These small demons looked around the same size as the goblins in Twilight City so it was unbelievable that they were level 70, much less elite monsters.

“Garhhhhh!”

Just then, these small demons noticed the two intruders who barged in by chance.

Shrieks were heard and the frontmost demon waved its hand towards Meng Xi who was behind Wang Yu, causing its metal fork in his hand to fly over with a dark red flame.

Obviously, these monsters’ AI were not low.

Usually, normal monsters’ aggro followed a priority of attacking whoever was closer but these demons skipped Wang Yu and attacked Meng Xi who was behind him. Obviously, their aggro system was on the same level as an elite BOSS.

The [Flaming Demon Fork] flew by quickly and in an instant, it was less than three metres away from Meng Xi.

It was no wonder Wang Yu did not want to do the quest with Meng Xi. After all, no matter how good he was, it was taxing to bring along such a teammate.

Furthermore, Meng Xi was a weak Pugilist. Even if she was just a big-built tank, it would be better.

Hmm, it is indeed too overboard to use big-built to describe a lady.

Wang Yu’s quest was to keep Meng Xi alive but based on her weak body, one fork stab from a level 70 monster would kill her instantly.

Seeing that Meng Xi was about to be sent to death, Wang Yu lifted his leg and kicked the fork.

“Boom!”

Wang Yu’s kick instantly changed the direction of the flying fork which stabbed into the top of the cave.

“Gah!!”

Seeing that Wang Yu kicked the fork away, that few demons carrying poles began shrieking as they began waving their poles at Wang Yu, wanting to pounce towards him.

“Move back!”

Wang Yu turned his head around to order Meng Xi then took a big step forward, grabbed the wrist of the frontmost demon and twisted it. The wooden pole in its hand was then caught on by Wang Yu.

Wang Yu used a leg to press the demon onto the ground, swerved the wooden pole around then smashed it at the demon who was coming for him.

“Boom!”

With a boom, Wang Yu sent that demon flying flat to the ground.

Just then, two other demons were charging towards Wang Yu as well while lifting up their wooden poles, ready to smash it down.

Wang Yu gently took a leap back.

“Duang!”

Two thick wooden poles hit nothing and landed at where Wang Yu was standing which was also the demon’s head which Wang Yu was stepping on.

What a poor demon. He was instantly killed by his comrades.

“Garhhhhh!”

The few demons holding on to forks saw what happened and began shrieking as they lifted the forks in their hands.

Wang Yu calmly charged forward and grabbed two demons.

The system monsters had a longer attack cooldown time so before their cooldown time ended, they were lifted by Wang Yu, one in each hand, and then sent flying towards the rest of the demons who were holding forks.

“Pi-la-pa-la!”

These six to seven demons rolled into a ball of mess.

Wang Yu quickly followed up with a high leap and descended with thunderbolts under his feet.

“Boom!”

The thunderbolts flashed and the world quietened down.

The eight demons were completely wiped out clean by Wang Yu.

From the start till the end, it took him only a dozen-odd seconds.

Of course, throughout their journey from the international border to here, Meng Xi was accustomed to Wang Yu’s abilities. This guy killed people like eating a piece of cake so it was no surprise he killed these weak-looking demons.

“Ding dang!”

Just then, Wang Yu heard the sound of equipment falling. He turned around to take a look and saw a black ring on the ground.

Black Flame Demon Ring (Ring) (Bronze)

Attack: 34-54

Magic: 44-64

Black Flame: Normal attacks have extra damage from dark and fire attributes.

Job Requirement: Available to all

Level Requirement: 50

“Eh?”

Seeing this ring, Wang Yu found it odd.

Rings rarely dropped as equipment in the game. Usually, only a BOSS would drop it so it was unexpected that these few demons would drop a ring. Obviously, the drop rate was not low.

Wang Yu felt more surprised that this ring’s attributes were pretty good.
