Chapter 253 Alpha Space Center

"What!? You can actually create that thing!?" Hermes, usually lighthearted and casual about everything, blurted out in alarm.

He recalled the distant past, during the war between Poseidon and Atlantis. This cannon was one of the things the gods feared the most. In that conflict, the cannon effortlessly slew Abysmos, Poseidon's favorite pet, with a single shot. It also came dangerously close to killing Poseidon himself. Fortunately, the power charged during the shot was not potent enough, sparing Poseidon's life.

This incident is one of the reasons why the Olympian gods contemplated eradicating humanity and creating a new species subservient to them. Some gods, however, chose to stand with humans against the Olympian gods, and Hermes was one of them.

Hermes took the tablet from Odysseus, who handed it over willingly. As Hermes perused the data inside, he confirmed that it was indeed the God Slayer Cannon. He then noted a crucial piece of information in the plans and schematics.

"Unbelievable… You plan to launch this into orbit and use it as an orbital bombardment cannon! According to this information, you've already addressed the issues of maintenance and high energy consumption too!" Hermes exclaimed in amazement, looking at Daniel.

"Yes, Teacher. We'll launch it into orbit in a week. I've crafted a front story to make the masses believe that this is a groundbreaking space project, comparable to when Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon. I'll disguise it as the private space station of Astral Tech, a staging area for studying Helium-3 on the moon," Daniel confidently explained, placing another file on the table.

"This is excellent. I'm sure the Hightower will have no choice but to use their influence to help propagate this news, even if they are hesitant," Envy remarked with a cunning smile, continuing, "They need someone or something to divert the public's attention from their troubles. That's why they have no choice but to support us."

"Ah, I see," Odysseus interjected, adding, "Then I need to devise measures to tarnish the reputation of the British government. Although the British government represents the common people, they will hold the Hightower accountable for this.

I'm certain the Hightower should have dispatched some of their agents to stir up trouble. Who knows, we might catch something that could lead us to the big fish later on," Odysseus said with a scheming intent, his smile concealed by a veil of cunning.

Observing the two schemers, both Envy and Odysseus flashing their devilish and cunning smiles, sent a chill through Penthesilea, and Daniel felt a surreal sensation. This scene resembled nothing short of two devil's plotting.

Afterward, everyone outlined a rough plan before dispersing to prepare for the upcoming events. Odysseus went to convey his orders to the media about their planned space program, while others, such as Penthesilea, worked on formulating security measures.

— A Few Days Later —

As a few days passed at the vast land where Daniel chose to construct his space center, under the watchful eyes of city officials, the media, and a multitude of science and technology enthusiasts gathered to witness the marvels of Astral Tech Company, Daniel arrived with three trucks brimming with metal scarabs and an additional ten trucks laden with essential materials.

As he commanded the scarabs through his tablet, an air of anticipation swept through the onlookers. These remarkable nanobots, resembling a metallic swarm, embarked on their intricate task, setting the stage for an awe-inspiring display.

The metal scarabs, with unparalleled precision, burrowed into the earth, meticulously sculpting the foundation for the space center. Their tiny metallic bodies moved in a synchronized dance, weaving a complex web of support for the forthcoming structure. The onlookers stood spellbound, unable to comprehend the efficiency and ingenuity displayed by these nano constructors.

The construction unfolded seamlessly, the scarabs not merely shaping the exterior but delving into the intricate details of the interior. They artfully laid out the framework, expertly installed electrical wiring, and fastidiously crafted every aspect of the space center.

In a mesmerizing showcase of their capabilities, the metal scarabs redirected their efforts towards constructing the launch pad for the space shuttle. With each movement, they forged a robust and dependable platform, poised to catapult the shuttle into the boundless expanse of space.

The entire process unfurled like a technological symphony, leaving the spectators dumbfounded by the unbelievable scene before them. From the initial excavation to the final touches, the metal scarabs showcased an unrivaled prowess as builders, transforming Daniel's visionary concept into a palpable and astonishing reality.

With this remarkable display of technological marvel, the world's attention shifted toward the Astral Tech Corporation, situated on a small island slightly larger than Manhattan within the Confederation territory.

Scientists, engineers, pilots, and individuals involved in the space industries eagerly flocked to Southeast Asia, specifically to the small island housing Sector Alpha City. The influx of applications for various positions in the newly constructed space center created immense pressure for Aryan Sharma. As the CEO of Astral Tech, Aryan, with his skills, talents, and connections in the business world, faced an incredibly busy week, while Daniel, the founder, preferred to immerse himself in inventing new things.

Handling such matters naturally fell into Aryan's domain. With skill and efficiency, he navigated the task of finding the most suitable employees to conduct interviews for the hundreds of new recruits vying for positions in the space center Daniel had built.

Simultaneously, Daniel sought Greed's cooperation to procure essential equipment, computers, and various items for the space center. Greed gladly obliged, recognizing the potential benefits for her business if the research on Helium-3 proved successful, as Daniel was not just a business partner but also her lover.

The professional crew from Greed's Golden Empire group swiftly arrived at the dock, unloading truck after truck of equipment for the space center. In a mere two days, the space center was completed, with various equipment installed and refurbished.

Standing at the front gate of the space center, Daniel faced a crowd composed of media, witnesses, and technology enthusiasts. In front of the wall and a large plaque bearing the space center's name, Daniel addressed the audience.

"I'm sorry, everyone, but I'm not very good at naming things," Daniel confessed with a wry smile and an apologetic tone before raising his voice and declaring,

"Since this city is called 'Sector Alpha City,' the beloved city of everyone here, let this space center be known as the 'Alpha Space Center.'" Daniel announced this to the media cameras, and hundreds of metal scarabs took flight, inscribing the name 'Alpha Space Center' onto the giant plaque, a spectacle witnessed by those present and those watching on TV at home.

Once the space center was established, it took a few days to complete the recruitment process and familiarize all key employees with the procedures. This was expedited with the assistance of advisors from the USA, provided by Greed.

Following this, the assembly of the space shuttle commenced. Thanks to Daniel's utilization of metal scarabs, the process was swift, allowing for the rapid construction of a rocket capable of carrying the God Slayer Cannon into orbit.

Daniel's plan involved sending ten rockets filled with materials into space, accompanied by the metal scarabs sent alongside the first rocket. These scarabs would play a crucial role in assembling the space station in orbit.

The entire space program relied solely on nano constructor bots, receiving commands from the ground and executing the assembly of the space station. With this approach, there was no risk to human lives, as all building and assembling processes were carried out by the bots.

Once the plan was disseminated to the media and the completion of the first space rocket was announced, the news rapidly spread worldwide. It seized the golden time slots of numerous TV programs and claimed the front pages of many popular websites.

Across the globe, the revelation of fully automated construction bots responsible for building the first space station created a sensation, marking the inception of a significant space program—the first since Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon.

This development swiftly became the hottest topic globally, sparking lively debates on various social media platforms.

Baby_Bat: Hey, did you all catch wind of the Alpha Space Center news? They've got these fully automated construction bots building a space station!
