Chapter 388: I’m a Doctor Now

“Thank you, uncle!” A kid said happily as he clenched and relaxed his hand, both shocked and surprised as he gazed at Compass Carburettor in admiration.

“It’s nothing.” Compass Carburettor smiled, gazing at the kid’s mother as he spoke, “That’ll be 200 Essence Stones.”

“Thank you for healing my son’s hand.” The kid’s mother spoke in gratitude, tearing up as she handed over a small pouch full of Essence Stones, “You’re our saviour!”

“I’m only doing my duty.” Compass Carburettor smiled in response as a staff arrived to take the small sack of Essence Stones, tallying the amount before proceeding to make the patients leave.

Immediately after, another injured patient arrived, clutching his bandaged arm, one that was missing a hand.

“Doctor, please save me.”

“Take a seat first.” Compass Carburettor said, motioning for the staff to arrive and conduct a couple of tests on him first.

Yes, Compass Carburettor was running a hospital now. It had been three years since he had arrived at the Gaider Realm, the longest he had ever stayed in a world after becoming a System Slayer.

And for the first two years, he only researched to create his Origin Arts and was pretty successful in his endeavour. Normally, a cultivator would have to spend around 5-10 years in research before creating a single Origin Art.

Even that wasn’t guaranteed if their train of thought was in the wrong direction. But who was he?

The Main Character!

So, once he began his research, his train of thought never derailed, allowing him to create Origin Arts one after another. And in two years, he had created seven Origin Arts in total. It was a frightening sum

But considering how each Origin Art was just a derivative of the first Origin Art, this was possible.

After that, he too began his plan. But unlike Chenger, he didn’t establish any organisations.

All he did was establish one hospital in Ohka City. Using his Origin Arts, Compass Carburettor helped the Opposition Clan directly, causing them to favour him as they entered a support relationship with one another.

So with them protecting him and advertising his services, his hospital became famous overnight in Ohka City.

After all, cultivators with healing type Martial Spirits were incredibly rare. They were so rare that only three of them existed in the Gaider Realm, were tremendously famous and were supported by countless Sects. After all, only Earth Martial Spirits could possess a healing attribute.

And, one of Compass Carburettor’s Origin Arts allowed him to heal others. Even though the effect was inferior to a healing based Martial Spirit, it was still plenty useful, causing injured people to flock to him in large droves.

But, that wasn’t the primary reason his hospital had become famous. The reason was a single statement he had released.

“If your cultivation has stagnated, if you’re feeling worried that’s preventing you from cultivating, or experience fear or trauma, I can cure you all.”

As his Martial Spirit was the Mind Frog, dealing with the field of the mind, he would of course focus on this aspect. The ability to treat physical injuries was just an added advantage.

Most of the staff in the hospital were from the Opposition Clan, those trusted by Mella. And thanks to her orders, they were professional in their conduct. Moreover, Compass Carburettor too had given them some training accordingly.

Also, with their Kirin Martial Spirit, they were able to sense the state of a human body if they concentrated hard, allowing them to act as nurses that inspected the body conditions of the patients.

Thankfully, it seemed the Opposition Clan had an Origin Art to achieve this. It was just not learned by the Clan members because it wasn’t an offensive art. But now that Compass Carburettor had established a hospital, they too had begun to prepare accordingly, as there were a lot of advantages in this relationship.

“Doctor, there are a lot of broken bones in his arm. We’ll need to amputate it and grow it anew.” A staff said after inspecting the patient’s injuries.

“Alright.” Compass Carburettor nodded as he wore a pair of gloves, arriving before the patient that was now laid down on the nearby birth, “Close your eyes.”

Once the patient closed his eyes, Compass Carburettor placed his hand on the other party’s forehead, activating his Origin Art.

Origin Art—Mind Connect!

This was the core of his mind related Origin Arts, one that allowed him to connect with the minds of others. The rest of his mind related Origin Arts were activated through Mind Connect.

An almost transparent rope extended out of his palm and touched the patient’s forehead, connecting their minds.

Immediately, as Compass Carburettor focused, his surroundings changed as he observed a violent flux of memories and thoughts before him. They were like a storm, enough to destroy his fragile self that was nothing but a stream of wavy energy here.

At his present cultivation, there wasn’t much that he could do in this situation, as the strength he could exercise was limited.

Slowly, Compass Carburettor activated his second Origin Art.

Origin Art—Mental Destruction!

Using that, he severed the connection of the patient’s mind to the body, causing him to enter a comatose state, unable to feel any pain.

He then nodded at the staff that used the strength of a Kirin to hold a sharp sword to cleanly sever the patient’s wounded arm, causing a lot of blood to gush out profusely.

Immediately after, Compass Carburettor placed his hand on the injury, gushing in his Origin Essence.

Origin Art—Frog Recovery!

Immediately after, a small stump began to grow from the arm socket, stopping after reaching a certain length as Compass Carburettor unleashed the Origin Art once again, causing the arm to grow until the elbow.

He then repeated the same, consuming almost thirty minutes before the patient’s arm was good as new.

Frog Recovery wasn’t a healing ability but a regrowth ability, allowing him to regrow new body parts. But first, the damaged part had to be removed. So, there were plenty of restrictions on using this ability. But despite that, there were plenty of situations where this was valuable.

“This arm isn’t as strong as his original arm, but as long as he undergoes rehab for a couple of months, it’ll be as good as new.” He muttered, sighing as he had almost exhausted his Origin Essence.
