Chapter 542 Phoebe's Decision, Benefits
"That is completely unexpected." Phoebe stated after hearing everything that Karen had said to her.
For some reason, Phoebe remembered about what had happened the previous day. That was, she received the information that Sylvia was somehow involved with Jack's group. And, she made her assumptions at this moment that, perhaps this force that Sylvia was handing over all the resources of the Panthers organization to, was actually Jack's group.
'What kind of background does this group possess?' Phoebe could not help but question herself. Although she had not said it out loud the previous day, she was surprised to find out that Celine was young, and yet she was a superhuman.
Other than that, she actually possessed a special ability. It might be true that after reaching the superhuman level, it was quite difficult for a person to be able to tell the age of a person accurately, but still, just looking at Celine's demeanor, Phoebe was able to judge that Celine was in her twenties.

Karen was a little surprised after hearing the decision that Phoebe had made. According to what she knew, she knew that Phoebe would definitely take any chance available in order to strike Sylvia. But, currently, although this was a chance that she could utilize in order to gain more power for the Butterfly organization, but, Phoebe had suddenly given up on it.
Although she did not understand the logic that Phoebe was using during this moment, but, she did not want to argue with Phoebe. Anyway, it was not as if she was the one who wanted to fight against Sylvia.
To her, currently, it was not as if the Butterfly organization was losing anything. So, they could as well just stand on the side, and observe things clearly. Not long after Celine left, Jack finally woke up. He could feel that his body was heavy, and his mind was kind of hazy. He could not think things clearly, it was as his brain was currently overloaded.
At the same time, he felt that his hands were kind of itching, as if they wanted to do something. And, at this point, Jack could not help but think that the system was too overpowered.
Slowly, information began appearing in his mind as he began processing the information slowly. And, he came to realize that all the information about craftsmanship had actually been integrated into his mind.
And due to the fact that it was actually intermediate level of information, he came to find out that currently, his craftsman skills had already gone beyond the knowledge that was recorded in the books that he had been reading previously.
Not only that, he realized that there were several mistakes that were present in the books that he was reading. And, there were even other methods that he could utilize in order to make sure that he completed the craftsmanship in the most efficient way.
Not only that, but he came to realize that he possessed more knowledge. He was capable of creating vehicles that were way more advanced than the ones that could be found within this stronghold.
And at this point, he also realized that he did not need to continue studying the vehicle that he had been rewarded with by the system. He realized that that all the information that he had gathered all along was at a lower level as compared to the one that he currently possessed.
Due to the hundred times multiplier effect, Jack was able to easily adapt. And currently, he fell to that he had been a professional in these things for a very long time, because not only just his mind was affected, but even his muscles were affected, enhancing his muscle memory.
Without him even noticing, over an hour had already gone by. And by the time that he came back to his senses, Celine had finally come back together with Samantha.
The moment that she arrived, Celine did not stay behind to tell Denali what had happened. Instead, she left Samantha to give the details to Denali as she herself went to look for Jack. She was quite relieved after realizing that nothing had happened during the time that she was away.
After entering the room, she found that Jack was awake, but, he was staring at the ceiling of the room. She was a little worried, wondering what it was that was making him seem as if he was in deep thought.
Just as she was about to ask what was going on, Jack turned around and looked at her. Then, he asked, "How long has it been since I became unconscious?"
Celine was a little startled, but, she still responded. "Until now, it has been about an hour and some 40 minutes or so." She was not sure about the time because she really wasn't keeping an eye on how long it had been, but she could still estimate the time that she had been away.
"Oh, I never thought that it was going to take that long." Jack stated a little absent-mindedly. After that, he sat up, before standing to stretch his muscles a little bit.
Celine stood on the side, as she waited for him to finish what he was doing. And after a while, Jack looked at her and said, "There are some changes that we are going to make on the information that you are reading. This should enable you to be able to learn things more efficiently and easily."
"Huh?" Celine was a little surprised by Jack's words. But still, she went ahead and nodded her head, as she looked at Jack curiously. She was wondering what it was this time that had changed.
The last time that he had slept for a very long time, he had activated an ability that allowed her to be able to learn things at a speed that was 100 times faster than the previous times that she learned things. And now, she wondered what it was that had changed.
Looking at Celine's curious eyes, Jack was a little surprised, before he finally understood what it was that Celine was thinking about. Smiling, he asked, "You are already asking for the benefits?"
Celine blushed a little. Although it was true that she really cared about Jack, it was inconceivable that she had thought about if there was going to be a benefit that she was going to get this time or not. Anyway, nobody could blame her considering that she was a human after all, and it was inevitable that there were moments that she would be selfish.
"Of course. What else can I be thinking about right now? You know, last time, you gave me something that is helping me right now to advance faster. So, I'm curious about what it is that you are going to give me this time." Celine stated with a mischievous smile on her lips.
The moment that Celine smiled, Jack could not help but be dazzled by the beautiful smile that was adorned on Celine's face. Then, he took a step forward, and held Celine's left cheek with his right hand.
Celine also noticed his movement, but, she did not dodge him. She looked directly into his eyes, waiting for his response.
Then, before she could even realize it, Jack had actually moved forward, and closed the gap that existed between their faces, before connecting their lips.
It was only after about 5 seconds, after Jack pulled away that Celine finally reacted. She looked at Jack questioningly, with some grievance in her eyes.
Looking at that cute expression on her face, Jack could not help but chuckle. Shrugging his shoulders, Jack pretended to be helpless and said, "That is the only benefit that I currently possess, so, I have already given to you. But, I don't really mind repeating giving you that benefit again, and, it can go deeper than that."
"Shameless!" With her face bright red, Celine muttered in a low voice. After that, she continuously stared at Jack without saying anything.
Looking at Celine who was gazing at him without shifting her gaze anywhere else, Jack began moving closer. And, when Celine realized this, she took two steps backwards.
And, this went on. Every time that Jack took a step forward, Celine would retreat two steps backwards. And it wasn't long before Celine found herself between Jack and the wall that was behind her.
She tried looking for a way out, but before she could do anything, Jack placed his hands on both sides of her, enclosing her on the wall.
After that, he leaned forward once again. When Celine realized this, her breathing rate increased. But instead of resisting, she actually closed her eyes, and subconsciously pouted her lips.
Just as she was expecting that a kiss was going to land on her lips, she heard Jack speaking, "The other benefit that I'm going to help you with is to help you in advancing in whatever it is that you want to learn."
