Chapter 518 Give me Compensation

The splinter managed to go through Watson's chest. But, it pierced just beside the sternum. And, although it had managed to miss the heart, but still, it had managed to destroy part of the left lung.
At this point, Celine was not that much perturbed. Of course, although this is going to be the first kill, she did not hesitate. Not to mention the fact that the mission that they had been given was important, but, just the fact that they had actually been injured in such a small stronghold was humiliating.
Without hesitation, Smith hurriedly took out a small pill from his pocket and fed it to Watson. This was the pill that he had decided to carry because he was thinking that, if Jack decided not to follow them, then, he was going to beat him before feeding him the pill just to ensure that he did not die.
He had not expected that the pill was actually going to be used on Watson, instead of Jack. Additionally, he was now wondering if he was going to be capable of handling Jack himself considering that, Celine who was only at the first stage of the superhuman level was capable of dealing this great damage to Watson who was in the second stage of the superhuman level.
Smith had just finished feeding Watson the pill when suddenly, he was blasted by an invisible force. Since he had not been prepared, his body was blasted and he collided with the wall of the store.
It was good that the walls within the stronghold domain were not constructed using ordinary material that could be found within the normal world. But, they were created using special materials that were sturdy enough.
Celine did not stop attacking despite having already injured Watson. And, since Smith was having his back facing her, she did not hesitate to attack him. Currently, she knew that he was the one that possessed the most danger amongst the two.
Still, Smith was not to be underestimated as well. Although he was injured a little, but that was all. Currently, Celine did not possess the capabilities to injure him grievously. So, other than a slight fracture on his hand, there was not that much injury that he had suffered.
Smith was currently fuming. After all, they were supposed to be able to take care of this mission easily, before going back to receive their own rewards. But, he had not expected that they were going to suffer this way.
Additionally, since he believed that the mission was going to be simple, he had not brought anything special. Even the pill that he had fed to Watson was not capable of healing the wound that he had suffered, but, at least, it was capable of preventing him from losing more blood.
Although the technology level that was present within Stronghold number 17 was capable of healing someone, but, that only applied to ordinary humans. Currently, within this stronghold, there were no resources that could be used on superhumans, other than the small ones that the organization leaders possessed.
But even so, they were not that much of a higher level as compared to the pill that he had fed to Watson. That implied that if Watson wanted to get back to his peak condition, then, he would have to go back to the Force organization headquarters.
"Okay. I think that is enough." Jack stated as he patted Celine's shoulder. Currently completely had already stabilized himself, due to the hundred times income multiplier effect.
Normally, it would have definitely taken him a long time for him to be able to get used to the sudden increase in his strength. But, although he was not that much comfortable with controlling the strength that had increased drastically, but still, he was able to at least have some control over it.
Celine did not say anything, but instead, she retreated and went and stood next to Denali, Samantha, and Ivy. She knew that currently, she was not as strong as Jack was, so, she was not worried that Jack was not going to be capable of taking care of the problem.
Ivy on the other hand was surprised. She looked at Celine who was standing in front of her with widened eyes. She could not believe that it was not long ago that she had been arguing with Celine, and she was behaving in a way that claimed that she was ready to fight her.
If the two of them really fought, then, she was definitely going to be killed without even having a chance of retaliating. After all, at that time, she was still just a normal human. Now, other than admiration for Celine, she also had some fear towards her.
But, the emotion that was dominating her currently was that excitement that she possessed. After all, she was intending to join Jack and his group. Perhaps, there was a chance for her to be able to be as strong as they were.
Smith on the other hand focused on Jack. Since Celine had already retreated, he knew that, if he really wanted to take care of the situation here, he had to take care of Jack first. But, he had become extremely cautious at this point.

Additionally, since they had already began targeting him, then, there was no need for him to continuing staying low-key. So, Jack had already decided that he was going to make big moves, but, each move was going to be careful.
Smith did not respond to what Jack had said. He was angry that other than the fact that Celine had injured Watson, Jack was shamelessly asking for compensation from them.
But, it seemed that there was nothing that they could blame Jack for considering that, he had been clear from the start that he did not intend to join their organization. Still, they wanted to force him to do that because that was the mission that they had been given. But, they had not expected that they were going to hit an iron plate.
After a moment of silence, realizing that he was not going to be capable of dealing with the situation easily right now, considering that even Vincent was watching from the side, Smith decided to compromise.
"What do you want?" Smith asked. Currently, he had to make sure that he retreated, before informing the headquarters about the results. After that, they should have someone coming to back them up. At that time, taking care of Jack would not be a problem.
"I want you to give me everything that you currently possess from the big stronghold that you come from." Jack stated.
"Are you serious? You are not joking around, right?" Smith looked at Jack and asked incredulously. He could not believe that Jack was going to ask for something like that. Wasn't this too much?
He was not the only one that reacted that way, but, everyone present could not help but look at Jack with surprise in their eyes. But, this was to be expected considering that they did not know the value of the boosting pill that Jack had taken.
Instead of replying, Jack moved forward. Currently, the distance between him and Smith was less than 10 m. So, before Smith could even react, Jack had arrived in front of him and punched forward.
