Chapter 514 Offer From the Force Organization
Then before Jack could respond, he continued, "Perhaps you don't mind having a late breakfast with us?"
"Of course I do. Who told you that I am just idle? Additionally, I have already taken my breakfast." Jack responded nonchalantly.
The expression on Smith's face changed. Although he was trying to be polite with Jack here, that was simply because they were instructed to bring Jack over to the Stronghold, because he was going to be part of them. And, he currently knew that Jack possessed incredible potential, way above him.
So, he had to be polite with him as soon as possible, although he was a single stage above him. After all, who could guarantee that Jack would not be capable of reaching the third stage of the superhuman level?
Not only that, with the resources of the Force organization, it was definitely not going to be a problem for Jack to be able to reach the 4th stage of the superhuman level command that was if they decided to invest on him.
But still, there was always a limit to his tolerance. After all, he was trying to be patient, trying to be as gentle as possible, but it seemed that Jack was not one that was going to treat them the same way.
"Mr. Silver, I do understand that you have a lot on your schedule. But still, this is an important matter, and I hope that you can give us a chance of explaining to you what brought us over." Smith managed to maintain his composure before he responded to Jack.
"If that is the case, then, we can discuss everything inside here. There's no need for us to be going in some restaurant or café to get some late breakfast." Jack stated before he turned around, walking towards the store.
Although Celine was a little confused, she still followed Jack. Currently, she could feel that the group of two in front of them was definitely not simple. So, they had to be careful around them. Additionally, there was also a fact that they seemed to be having something important, and from the way that they were, they were obviously from the stronghold domain.
She linked this group of two to the one that was contacting Jack not long ago. So, she was quite curious about the reason why they wanted to communicate with Jack.
After they entered the store, Smith and Watson did not hide anything, and decided to go straight to the point. Anyway, the people that were currently present did not lack the information about Jack's current level. So, there was no need in keeping a secret from them, without a guarantee that Jack would not tell them.
"Mr. Silver, we would like to extend our invitation. Currently, we do believe that you do not belong to any organization, so, would you mind joining our Force organization?" Smith asked as amiably as possible.
"I don't want us to be discussing this matter after this. I'll be clear from the start. I don't have any intention of joining any organization, so, no matter whatever it is offer that you have, just know that I am not going to change my mind about that." Jack responded.
"You are probably saying that because you don't know about the benefits that our organization is willing to offer. One of them is that, you will be able to access all the resources within the organization, enabling you to be able to improve faster. Perhaps there is a chance for you to be able to go above the superhuman level." Smith stated, before handing over a tablet to Jack.
Jack on the other hand did not receive it. There was no need for him to look at the benefits, considering that, he was not willing to join any organization. At the end of the day, he was supposed to build his own organization, something that was going to be well known within the stronghold domain.
Although it might be true that by joining an organization, he would be able to get even more resources, but, he was not a person that liked to be bound. He liked the freedom here, doing whatever he wanted. So, why would he join an organization that he was going to surpass very soon?
Smith saw that Jack had no intention of taking the tablet. He was just about to withdraw his hand when Celine suddenly snatched away the tablet. With curiosity in her eyes, she began scrolling, while reading the contents of the tablet.
Smith was just about to react, but, he decided against it. He had realized that the relationship between Jack and Celine was quite closed from the video that he had watched previously. So, he thought that, perhaps there was a chance that Celine would convince Jack to join their organization after reading through the benefits that they were offering.
At the same time, he could not help but wonder about the reason why he was not instructed to bring Celine with them. After all, he believed that both Jack and Celine were very important, and if the organization managed to get the both of them, then, there was a guarantee that their power was going to increase in the future after the two of them matured.
Celine went through the information that was on the tablet, and she could not help but be surprised by the offers that were on the tablet. But, she could not understand the reason why they were willing to offer such a price for Jack.
But nevertheless, she turned her attention and looked at Jack with curiosity in her eyes as she asked, "Jack, are you not interested in knowing what is offered within this tablet?"
"Why should I be interested when I'm going to agree to their offer anyway? There's no need for me to waste the time of looking through that information, when I already know that I'm not going to change my decision." Jack responded dismissively.
Celine found that what he had said was actually true. At the end of the day, just like Jack, she was a person that liked freedom. She knew that currently, although it was true that whatever offers they were being given were quite sumptuous, and will definitely be able to make many people fight over it, but still, there was no free lunch.
If they agreed, they were going to be giving these benefits. But still, they had to do something in return. And that was definitely being completely loyal to whatever organization it was that was offering them the benefits.
But, if they were supposed to follow all the commands being given to them, would that not imply that they did not have any freedom anymore? At that point, without their freedom, what was the difference between them and mere puppets?
"Okay." Celine responded before she passed the tablet too the curious Denali, Samantha, and Ivy. The three of them were left speechless after reading the benefits that were being offered. That was especially so for Ivy.
It was true that she had only recently come to a realization that Jack was actually a superhuman, a stage above the ordinary human level, but, she could not believe that the benefits that he was being offered were this incredible.
But all the same, Jack had actually refused to take the offer, not even going through the details. But, if she was put in the same shoe as Jack, then, there was no way that she was going to agree to exchange her freedom for something like this.
After all, who called guarantee that they would not be able to get better offers in the future? Additionally, why would she want to be controlled? She was a person that liked to be unrestrained, being able to do whatever she wanted and liked.
Smith on the other hand was not willing to give up. So, he looked at Celine and asked, "What do you think of the offers miss Gravy? Whatever we are offering is sincere, and we have already gone to the bottom line that we can accept. So, although it is considered as a negotiation, it is just that, we are hoping that Mr. Silver here can accept the deal."
"The first point of correction, I am not miss Gravy, but instead, I'm miss Silver. It might be true that we are not married now, but, that is going to happen sometime later on." Celine stated with a serious expression on her face.
But still, that serious expression that was supposed to be there, was suddenly broken by the shades of red that appeared on her face.
Before Smith could say anything, Celine continued. "As for the offer that you are giving, I don't think that this is going to be enough. After all, what my future husband would be trading with you would be that, you give us the resources for improvement, but, you are going to take away our freedom. What is the use of that?"
Smith was left speechless. He could not believe that the only reason that Celine saw in that entire situation was that, they were going to deny them the freedom. After all, if they joined the organization, then, they would definitely have to follow the organization's rules.
"I'm sorry but this offer is actually for only one person." Although he was slightly unwilling, Smith decided to be clear about one thing. This offer was for Jack, and not for the two of them.
"What? Are you trying to tell me that you are going to have my husband join your organization, but you want me to join your organization for free?" Celine asked with raised brows. Without even herself realizing it, she had already begun addressing Jack as her husband, rather than her fiancé or future husband.
"Not at all. What I'm trying to imply is that we only need Mr. Silver here to join organization. As for you, it is your decision whether you are going to join the organization or not." Smith explained.
"Are you trying to mess with me? It is obvious that I will go wherever my husband goes. Additionally, what do you mean that this offer belongs to him only? Do you mean that I do not qualify to join you crappy organization?" Celine asked with a slight irritation on her face.
