Chapter 492 Can We Skip the Test?
The following day, Jack decided that he was not going to open the store first. So, the first thing that they were going to do on that day was to register as members of the stronghold domain.
It was only after they had registered as members of the Stronghold domain that they were going to be able to access the account that was going to deal with the star coins. That way, Jack would be able to receive the amount that he had accumulated through the system by now.
To go there, Jack drove the vehicle that he was given by the system. Of course, it attracted a lot of attention because it was different as compared to the vehicles that were found inside the stronghold. But still, nobody cared much about it. Perhaps there was someone with a different taste or something.
After about half an hour of driving, they finally arrived in front of a building. This building possessed over a total of 10 floors. It occupied a large space of about 5,000 square meters.
This was the location of the force that was used to control the small strongholds. Although it was used to control the small strongholds, it was actually not possessing much influence here. The ones that were really controlling this area were the big organizations that were present inside the stronghold.
Currently, there were not that many people present here. Anyway, it was not as if this force that was somehow related to the big strongholds possessed a lot of influence inside the stronghold. So, a lot of people did not like coming over here, rather, they would always go to the organizations that were present inside the stronghold.
This force was only used by those that did not belong to any organization within the stronghold. As for how that happened, during battles, people would always die. So, their families that remained inside the stronghold would not have anybody to depend on.
Still, since they were already considered as members of the stronghold, they were not chased out of the stronghold. Rather, they were left there to depend on themselves. And if there was a family member that was capable enough, they would be able to join an organization to get nurtured and get stronger.
In the stronghold domain, all that mattered was that a person possessed enough strength. With enough strength, it was definitely not a problem to be able to do as one pleased. Even wealth was not going to be a problem as they could just go ahead and snatch it away from their enemies.
After Jack's group arrived, they were welcomed by staff members that were here. They were a little surprised that there was actually such a huge group of people that had come over. Of course, they did not know what reason brought them over but still, it was quite difficult to find that there was a 'huge group', consisting of four people coming over at the same time.
Since they mostly dealt with the people that did not belong to any organization, it was quite difficult to find them banded together. Additionally, it was not that easy to start an organization inside the stronghold. A person still required the approval of the people from the big strongholds.
"Please come in. What would you like assistance with?" A young lady with short green hair questioned with a polite smile on her face. Of course, the smile was just polite, but that did not imply that she was having any good impression of the people that had come over.
She herself belonged to an organization, and she was irritated at the fact that she was sent over here to come and take care of matters concerning the people that did not belong to any organization. After all, she was wasting her own time here, rather than going back and training.
If these people had decided to join an organization, then what was the need for her to be here? Had it not been that it was a duty that she had been assigned with, she would have definitely not wanted to come over.
"We would like to register as members of The stronghold domain." Samantha responded.
The lady's brows rose a little with surprise. She had not expected that there was a group that had yet to be registered as members of the stronghold domain. Most of the time, when people came over, they usually came over to purchase something, or to receive some certain information about something.
As for registration, the children that were born inside the stronghold were always registered at the age of five. So, to find a person who had already reached 20 years old and above coming over to register, that was mainly if that person was not from the Stronghold domain.
But, most of the people that did not belong to the stronghold domain wanted to register usually belong to a certain organization. So, there was no need for them to come here to register, rather, they were going to use the facilities of the organization that they belong to in order to register.
Still, the lady was quite a professional. So, she reacted and said, "Please fill in with your information."
Immediately after she said that, she handed over four forms so that Jack and his group could fill them. Still, Samantha went ahead and shook her head and said, "I'm already registered. These three are the ones that are not yet registered."
The lady did not find this strange at all. So, she simply shrugged her shoulders before taking back one of the forms.
Jack took the form that he was given, before he began filling in the personal details. The first one required his name, his age, his signature, where he came from and so on.
After they were done with filling the forms, they handed them over to the lady. She looked at them scrutinizingly, before she said, "I hope that all the information that you have written inside here is true. Otherwise, you're going to be punished for lying."
At the same time as she spoke, she released an aura of a sixth-star ordinary human. The moment that she did that, she attracted strange gazes from Jack's group.
It seemed that the lady was trying to intimidate them, but, with the current strength that she possessed, if she came to the group, she was definitely going to be the weakest. Currently, even Samantha who was the weakest was an eight-star ordinary human.
When the lady saw that the group was not reacting, she was a little surprised. But still, she went ahead and stood up from behind the desk. Then, she waved at Jack's group and said, "Follow me. We have to test the level of strength that you currently possess."
"Actually, there's no need for that. You can just give us the user ID and the account for the star coins. That should be enough." Jack waved his hand in response.
The lady paused her movement and looked at Jack with a threatening gaze. Then, she said as she looked straight into his eyes, "This is something that must be done. Unless you don't want to get your user ID, you can decide not to follow the procedures that are required to be followed. And if you do that, you will have to leave the stronghold."
Jack on the other hand felt a little helpless. After all, he had not suggested that simply because he was arrogant or something. It was just that, currently, with the strength that they possessed, it was definitely going to be a little troublesome.
Samantha had already informed him that most of the people that came over to register were at the second star of the ordinary human or so. So, what was going to be the reaction after the lady realized that there were actually two superhumans here?
Additionally, Jack was not intending to attract a lot of attention towards them as of now. He still needed to gain a foothold, and that was something that he was planning to do using the stores.
But, looking at the expression that was on the face of the lady, it was clear that she was not intending to back out. So, Jack decided that there was no harm in going to try the test.
He was already informed about the testing by Samantha. But, he didn't know about the result that was going to come. After all until now, he had not utilized any resource that came from the Stronghold to be able to reach the current level that he was in.
He wondered If that machine that was used to measure the power level of a person was going to be capable of doing that.
After seeing that Jack did not have any objections, the lady snorted before turning around and led the way again. Jack's group was led deep into the building, before they took an elevator to the second floor.
On arriving there, Jack found that this place was not that different from The testing area that was located in the mercenaries land. It was just that, the level of equipment that was present here was kind of at a higher level as compared to those that were found in the testing area at the entrance of the stronghold domain.
After they arrived here, they realized that there was a small number of people as well. It seemed that this building was almost empty, and it was only occupied by a small number of people, contrasting to the size of the building.
The lady let them In front of a machine like that was used inside the hospital for CT scan. Well, although they looked almost the same, that did not imply that the machine was actually used for CT scanning.
The one that was present close to that machine was a young man wearing spectacles. He had short black hair that was well kempt. Apart from that, he was also wearing a black suit, a contrasting different to the people that were found inside the stronghold.
After he saw them, he did not speak much. Rather, he asked, "Who is going first?"
