Chapter 478 Phoebe's Ambition
"According to the information that I have received, it is clear that Samantha came over with a group of people with unknown origins. We have yet to do any investigation on them, so until now, we don't possess any information about the background that they have."
"Still, the one that took care of the entire group is said to be a single lady, who was also part of that group of four." The vice leader of the Butterfly organization explained.
Phoebe on the other hand who had already taken two dumbbells that if even the vice leader decided to try them out would immediately collapse onto the ground. She had already began another training routine without even taking a moment of rest.
"That's all? I don't think that there is any important piece of information in what you have just told me. Other than telling me that the group of guidance that was sent over was not able to defeat that group, there's nothing else that you have come to know about it. So, why did you come over to disturb my training, rather than doing the investigation first?" Phoebe asked as she continued her training.
Although she was lifting heavy dumbbells, her breathing was steady, and even the way that she was talking, nobody could know that she was actually undergoing heavy training right now.
This was something that she had trained, considering that, from time to time, people would come to disturb her about this or that during the time that she was training.
And in order to make sure that her image as the leader of the organization was not diminished, she trained on how to control her breath during the time that she was training.
By now, she had already gotten used to this. So, it was a simple task for her to speak like a normal person who was seated while chatting with the lady who was the vice leader of the organization.
After hearing what Phoebe had said, the expression of the vice leader of the organization could not help but shift a little. She knew that she had done a mistake, according to Phoebe.
But, what could she do? She had just taken over the position of the vice leader of the Butterfly organization after the previous one was removed from the position. As for the reason of why she was removed from the position, it was simply because the other party did a mistake that Phoebe did not like.
She on the other hand was selected simply because of the combat capability that she possessed. Although she was a ten-star ordinary human, she was actually capable of dealing with those that were at the same level as her.
Although she was not a training maniac like Phoebe, but still, she was a person that loved to become stronger. And had it not been that the resources in the organization could not allow her to become a superhuman as of now, she could have already broken the genetic lock, and become a superhuman.
"I will immediately go and investigate this. After I get the information about their identities, I will be back." The lady stated before turning around, intending to leave and go and do as she had said.
"You know what Karen? Forget about it. It is not like Samantha possesses information that can threaten our organization. From what I know about her, she was a person that usually minded her own business, not poking her nose in the businesses that did not concern her.
Additionally, our organization does not prevent anybody from shifting from one organization to another. It is just that, it depends on who, and what their role in the organization is.
Although she is a guardian, I don't think that she is that much important for us to put much emphasis into the matter. Since she has decided to leave the organization, then, there's no need for you to continue bothering about her.
Instead of that, you can try training, and try to reach the superhuman level. I don't think that I am that far away from reaching the second stage of the superhuman level." Phoebe stated all of this in a single breath.
From the way that she was speaking, she could easily make people wonder if she was actually breathing while training. After all, she was working out intensely, but, she was able to speak for so long without even pausing in the middle.
Karen, the middle-aged woman who was the second in command in the entire Butterfly organization was a little stunned. She had not expected that Phoebe was going to make such a decision.
But still, there was nothing that she could do about it. It was just a Phoebe had said. Although Samantha was a guardian, she had not joined any faction inside the Butterfly organization. For that reason, she was in the dark about a lot of information.
So, since the people from the Butterfly organization were not prevented from joining other organizations if they felt that they were not satisfied with being here, since Samantha had decided to leave, then, there was no need for them to stop her.
In any case, Samantha had already contributed a lot to the Butterfly organization, although it was not that much of a contribution that was able to impact greatly on the organization.
"Okay. I will go and try to make sure that I reach the superhuman level as soon as possible. With that, we should be able to easily dominate the entire stronghold, dealing with that Panthers organization." Karen responded with a forced smile on her face.
Although she was told to train, how was she going to do that when almost all the workload of the entire organization was left for her to deal with? Most of the time, Phoebe did not care about what was going on, unless there was something that threatened the organization.
For that reason, the majority of the work was always piled on her desk. So, getting a chance of training was a little troublesome. She could only train at night, the time that she was supposed to relax.
Still, she did not try to complain. After all, although the workload that she was experiencing was high, but, the payment was not bad as well. In fact, Phoebe always gave her some of the best resources that could be given to her.
"Don't worry much about the Panthers organization. That is something that I'm going to take care of after I reach the second stage of the superhuman level. I'm going to show that Sylvia who is strong." Phoebe stated. She was not afraid of Sylvia, but, she was a person who liked to act with assurance.
It was not that she was afraid, but rather, she knew the consequences of acting impetuously. Of course, as of now, she did not know that Sylvia had already reached the second stage of the superhuman level.
Had she known that, she would have increased the intensity of the training that she was undergoing, and try as much as possible to acquire even more resources that would enable her to reach the third stage of the superhuman level.
Nevertheless, she did not believe that Sylvia was capable of beating her Even if they were at the same level. Still, it was way better to be sure of something before acting.
Karen only nodded to what Phoebe had said. Anyway, she did not care much about it. If it came to the matter of domination of the entire Stronghold, that was not something that she could decide on. That was something that was only decided between superhumans.
Since she had yet to reach the superhuman level, there was no need for her to care about this matter. Currently, she was just about to reach that stage that was in between the superhuman level and the 10-star ordinary human level.
She believed that had it not been that she was currently preoccupied by a lot of work that could not be ignored, she could have already managed to succeed to reach that position. But, it seemed that she had to try and create a lot of time for herself during her free time.
After Karen left, Phoebe did not stop. Instead, she continued training, not showing any signs of fatigue. She did not stop at just the dumbbells, but she also lifted the barbell, she did several pull ups with heavyweight tide on her legs and so on.
Although it seemed that she was not tired, but, she was being worn out by the training. It was just that she had already trained herself, not showing much on her face.
By the time that she completed her training, 2 hours had already gone by. And at this point, she was breathing a little heavily, unlike the previous time where she was acting as if she was just taking a stroll, rather than doing intense training.
Since she had already completed the physical workout, she went towards the pod that was filled with green liquid. The pod was cylindrical in shape, with an opening at the top. Using the ladder that was set on the side, she climbed on top of the pod.
She then went ahead and placed an oxygen mask on her face, before finally dipping herself inside the green liquid. After dropping inside, she did not make any move for several continuous hours.
This was the routine that she always did. After a long period of intense training, she would always immerse herself inside the green liquid.
