Chapter 476 That Was Fast
"I guess that we can only force you then." With a cold grin on her lips, the lady prepared herself to attack.
But even before she could make a move, Celine took a step forward and stood in front of Samantha. This group had been ignoring their presence all this time, but she did not care about that.
It was just that, she thought that they had already spent a lot of time out here, so, it was better if they went back and decided to spend the time doing something constructive.
With the ability that the system had granted her, she was not willing to waste any time. If possible, she wanted to learn as many things as possible. It was just that, the resources that she had gotten were way lower than she had been expecting after coming to the stronghold.
When the lady who was about to attack saw that Celine had stood in front of her, she could not help but frown a little. Instead of attacking directly, the lady stopped and looked at Celine with an irritated expression on her face.
Although she really wanted to attack Celine, but still, she had her limits. She did not know who Celine was, and as of now, Celine had not done anything that deserved to be attacked. The stronghold had its own rules, and for a guardian like herself to be able to make a move, she had to follow the rules that were set.
"Get out of the way and stop interfering with our business." The lady stated as she looked at Celine. The expression on her face dictated that she was going to attack if Celine did not comply. At least, she had already given the warning, and if Celine did not follow, then, they could say that she was interfering with the business that they had been sent to take care of.
Celine on the other hand did not respond to this lady. Instead, she looked at Samantha and asked, "Is there a problem if I beat her up?"
"Not at all. I don't even like her." Samantha shook her head as she responded. Although there existed a grudge between the two of them, she was most of the time silent about it. But the other party could not give up on it, always pestering her, trying to look for trouble with her.
All this while, Samantha did not do anything that made the relationship between the two of them deteriorate further. Instead, it was the other party that was always provoking her.
She never cared at first, but this time, it was completely different. The other party had come over to look for trouble, so, she did not mind if Celine taught her a lesson.
Celine nodded her head. Then, she turned around and looked at the lady who was just about to lash out at Samantha, who was just telling that nobody to take care of her. She was about to speak angrily before attacking when suddenly, she felt that there was an invisible force that was holding her in her place.
In the next moment, before she could even react, her body shot backwards, knocking the group that she had come together with.
The group behind her had not expected such a development. They believed that it was going to be an intense fight if Samantha decided to resist. That was the reason why two guardians came over, in order to take care of Samantha.
But, their companion being blown backwards without even being kicked was something that was out of their expectation. Still, they raised their hands to block the body that was flying towards them.
The moment that the body collided with the guardian who was in front, she could not handle it. So, she was also blown backwards, knocking the group behind them. And the group behind them being weaker than the guardians, they did not even have a chance of resisting before they were blown backwards about 20 m or so.
Celine on the other hand ignored the group. Then, Jack and the group left. Celine had utilized the special ability that she possessed, telekinesis, to easily throw that lady off her feet.
While she was in the air, Celine once again attacked, blowing the lady backwards. And although there was no physical force that was applied, for that lady, it was as if she had just been shot from a slingshot.
Celine of course had come to a realization that superhumans were not that easy to be seen inside of this stronghold. So, she decided to utilize the special ability that she possessed without exposing the superhuman aura.
While Jack's group was living, the group of ladies that had already fallen onto the ground looked at them with fear and confusion in their eyes.
The lady who had been blown backwards was the one who was mostly confused. She did not understand what happened, but all she could remember was that she felt that she had been grabbed by something, before she was thrown away.
She did not have the chance of resisting at all in the face of that force. So, she could only helplessly fly in the air like a kite with a broken string. And when she knocked into the group behind her, she was hurt a little, more so after she hit the ground heavily.
It was just that Celine had been lenient with them. Otherwise, with the level of the special ability that she currently possessed after she had come a superhuman, she was definitely capable of killing the guardians without even them knowing what happened.
Still, since the other party did not come over with the intention of killing them, there was no need for her to kill. Moreover, until now, she had never killed a person. So, she was a little hesitant to do that.
Of course, other than that, there was also a fact that they were inside a stronghold. If she ended up killing a person and this brought trouble, she was going to prevent Jack from doing what had brought him over.
She also knew that the aim of coming over inside the stronghold domain was not only to develop, but instead, they were here to look for Jack's mother as well. But so far, their search fruitless.
After the group of ladies managed to get back on their feet, they looked at Jack's group that had already reached a long distance away from them. Although some of them were tempted to chase after them, the other lady who had not attacked previously was rational enough to understand that they could not attack that group.
Additionally, she felt that there was something strange with Celine. She had not done anything, but she had already taken care of the entire group. So, the only thought in her mind was that, Celine was someone who possessed a special ability.
In the entire stronghold that they were in, there was not even a single person with a special ability. Special abilities were some of the things that they had only heard of, but they had never seen.
"Let us go back and report to the leader. We cannot take care of that group. That lady is terrifying. We are lucky enough that she did not attack with the intention of crippling us or even killing us." The lady stated in a calm and emotionless voice.
The other guardian who was previously trying to attack could only grit her teeth as she watched as Jack's group disappeared down the streets. No matter how unwilling she was, she was the one who had experienced that force first hand.
She understood that she stood no chance if she faced against that group. Perhaps only the second in command of their organization was capable of competing against them.
At the same time, she could not help but curse at Samantha's luck. 'How is it possible that she has already gotten someone that is that strong to support her? Moreover, from the way that she was behaving, it was obvious that she was at a lower position, and not in the same level as that lady.
Nevertheless, it doesn't matter. After the leader hears about this, I am sure that she's going to make a move personally.' The lady thought to herself as she looked at the direction that Jack's group had disappeared resentfully.
Since they had already come to a decision, the group turned around and went back to the direction of where the Butterfly organization was located. Since they had already failed in the mission, then, it was better to report back first.
Not long after, the group finally arrived in front of a group of majestic buildings. This place was kind of colorful, but the aura that was in this place was kind of dull and plain. This was a contrast to the bright colors that decorated this place.
Still, the group was already used to the atmosphere of this place. So, they did not find anything strange as they headed towards the direction of the main building, the tallest and majestic of all buildings in the area.
As they went over, the two guardians dismissed the group that they had brought over with them. Then, they continued forward and entered the building.
The building that they had entered that was one with 26 floors. And just like in the normal world, there was an elevator that was used. It was just that, the level of technology inside this building was higher as compared to the normal world.
After entering the elevator, they pressed the button and they arrived on the 23rd floor not long after. The moment that they exited the elevator, they were welcomed by a spacious place which was arranged in a form of an office.
And at this moment, there was a lady who was busy with something. As if she had realized that they were approaching, she looked up and asked, "You have already completed the mission? That was kind of fast."
