Chapter 470 Relentless Idiot
Derek was getting impatient after waiting for a long time. For him, since he had appeared outside, not far away from Devin Stronghold, he did not require the inter stronghold communication device to be able to communicate with the people inside Devin Stronghold.
For that reason, when he appeared here, he had actually contacted Alicia, informing her that he was outside here. Since he did not have the permission to enter, he had to depend on her in order to get inside this stronghold.
Although he might actually use the influence that his father possessed, but, it was not that easy to enter without any good reason. But, it was different if he was invited inside.
But, he had been here, waiting for the entire night, but, Alicia did not show up. Moreover, after he tried contacting her using the communication device once again, she did not respond at all.
He was trying to get to reach Alicia first, and after that, he was going to try and borrow something that he was going to use for his movements within the Stronghold domain. That way, he might be capable of getting Jack and his group.
It was just that, he knew that it was going to be a difficult task for him to be able to find them, considering that, he was not actually going to be allowed to enter into any stronghold.
That implied that if Jack's group had already entered into a stronghold, it was going to be a difficult task to even know that they had entered there. But still he was intending to use Alicia's assistance in order to continue to search for Jack's and Celine's whereabouts.
The sun had already risen to the sky and it was already 11:00 a.m. And, Derek was of course getting frustrated by the fact that Alicia was not responding at all.
Had it been that it was possible for him to go around into the other strongholds on foot, then, he would not even have bothered to continue waiting for Alicia to provide him with a means of transportation.
It was just that he was not capable of moving around the entire stronghold domain on foot. After all, the Stronghold domain was just as big as the blue planet was. Even by using the vehicles that were present inside the stronghold, it was going to take several days for him to be able to make several trips, covering about a fifth of the entire Stronghold domain.
But, there was something that he wanted Alicia to help him with. This was something like a plane, but it was a ship. That was the one that he wanted to utilize to go around the domain. Not only was it faster, but also comfortable to stay in.
With that, he could cover the entire Stronghold domain in just a single day. He would not have to spend a lot of time considering that even his father himself had not given him a lot of time to be out.
At that time, if his father contacted him, he would have no choice but to go back. After all, he did not dare to disobey his father. Otherwise, he was going to be punished thoroughly.
The old man that was standing not far away from where Derek was could not help but shake his head. This guy was just a fool. He knew all too well that Alicia hated him. But still, he had come over to ask for her assistance to get something that was quite difficult to get.
Although it was through that there were several ships that were present inside of the big strongholds, but, the amount of resources that they consumed in order to be able to move around was huge. So how are they going to give the ship to just anybody because he wanted to go around and look for a girl?
Nevertheless, the old man did not say anything. Anyway, it was not as if he told Derek about it, Derek was going to think of everything logically. In any case, Derek was going to ignore him, and do what he pleased.
Although the old man was his protector, he was just a subordinator, and did not have much of an influence on Derek. In fact, he was supposed to follow what Derek instructed him to do. But of course, he could only resist the commands if what he was ordered to do risked Derek's life.
After waiting for another hour, finally, Derek was standing at distance away could see that the gate of the stronghold was being opened.
But still, there was no relief or excitement on his face at all. After all, he had seen several times but gate was opened, but, there was not even a single time that Alicia came through the gates.
Shifting his gaze from the gate, he looked at the communication device that he was wearing on his wrist. It was no different from a normal smart watch. It was just that this watch that he was wearing possessed many more features other than just communication and keeping a tab on the time.
Since he was almost getting impatient of waiting, Derek went ahead and tried to contact Alicia once again. But, just like always, there was no response from the other end. It was obvious that Alicia was ignoring his calls, unless she was doing something right now, that she had beyond the previous day at 7:00 p.m. until now.
Not willing to give up, Derek went ahead and tried several times, but the results were the same.
"So annoying! You are trying to contact me every time, making my communication device make some irritating noise. Previously, I liked the tune that this communication device played. But now, it has been disturbing me until I have already gotten irritated of it." Just as Derek was about to try to contact Alicia once again, a feminine voice reached his ears.
Of course, although the voice was somehow unfamiliar and familiar the same time, his heart skipped a beat a little. He looked up only to see a lady with purple hair, currently wearing a simple dress looking at him with him with an annoyed expression on her face.
Of course, Alicia was not willing to come over after realizing that Derek was actually at the Devin stronghold. She had not expected that this guy was going to come over, rather than going to look for the person that she had provided him with information about.
After all, from her impression of Derek, he was a lecherous person. There was no way that he was going to see a beauty and turn a blind eye to that. So when she had provided him with the information about Celine, she had expected that this guy was going to go over as fast as he could.
But in the end, she never expected that this guy was going to come over. Of course, she did not know that this guy had already gone and met up with Celine, but in the end, he did not succeed in his plans.
Now he had been trailing Jack and his group with the intention of taking care of Jack after they entered the stronghold domain. But, he never expected that the moment that he tried to follow them, he appeared in a completely different place than them.
This trip to the normal world was his first one, so, he did not know much about it. Anyway, he had been expecting that he was going to appear in the stronghold that was closer to the Panthers organization's stronghold.
As for the information about the entrances into the stronghold domain, that was the piece of information that he knew about, having already been informed about them back in his family. After all, that was the basic knowledge that everyone had to know.
"You are finally here Alicia. I have actually been waiting for you for the entire night and almost half a day." Derek stated with a bitter smile on his face as he looked at Alicia.
Had it not been for the fact that he wanted her assistance, he would have already lashed at her. After all, how could she keep him waiting for an entire night and half a day? If it was a matter concerning the marriage between the two of them, that was not something that he was worried about.
If he really wished, he could easily make his father organize the marriage between the two of them. As for Alicia being engaged to someone else, he was way better than that person that she was engaged to.
And, knowing the behavior of Alicia's parents, they were definitely going to agree to this considering that, this was going to be more beneficial to them, than the person that Alicia was supposed to marry.
"Of course I am here. Do you think that you are talking to a ghost?" Alicia expressed her dissatisfaction. Had it not been for the fact that this guy did not leave after waiting for the entire night, and even half a day, she would have definitely continued to remain inside the stronghold.
Due to the rules that were applied inside the stronghold domain, there was no chance for her to block the communication between her and Derek. For that reason, she had no choice but to continue listening to a communication device ringing from time to time, as Derek contacted her.
"What is it now? I gave you information about someone, but it seems that you don't even care about it. So, why are you here to disturb me? Don't tell me that it is the same topic as before." Alicia did not give Derek a chance to speak before she asked.
