Chapter 469 Frustration
Not long after she had entered her living quarters, Sylvia thought of something. "Could he perhaps be capable of helping me in activating this item?"
Sylvia thought that there was actually a possibility of this happening. After all, she had detected that Celine possessed a special ability. If that was the case, then, there was perhaps a chance that Jack also possessed a special ability.
Additionally, since his mother was so strong and she also possessed a special ability, then, perhaps Jack might have already been taught by his mother how to activate the item that she possessed.
If that was the case, then, she might actually be capable of activating that item. And, if she did that, there was a guarantee that she was going to dominate the entire stronghold. After that, she would begin thinking about going to the big ones.
Of course, what Sylvia did not know was the fact that, it was only recently that Jack came to know that his mother was actually a superhuman. After all, if he was capable of easily dominating Maxwell, the leader of the shadow organization who was currently half a step into the superhuman level, then, that implied that she was a superhuman.
"Forget about it. That group is so shameless. If they see the item, I am sure that they are going to tell me that I am supposed to give them that item as compensation for attempted kidnappings." Sylvia shook her head in the end, knowing that this was going to be an impossibility.
After all, it was not that easy for her to convince Anne to agree to help her in activating the item. After all, other than providing Anne with resources, there was yet another favor that she was supposed to do for Anne. But, that was something that she was only supposed to do after Anne fulfilled her end of the deal.
"Anyway, it doesn't matter. I will continue searching. Although her son has come over to look for her, the combined efforts of the two of us should be able to yield the results faster." Sylvia thought to herself as she shook her head.
"As for what I am supposed to do, since Anne has not fulfilled her end of the day, then, the contract is not going to punish me. Anyway, it is not my fault that I did not fulfill what I was supposed to do. There is a piece that is missing in the middle, making the circuit incomplete." Sylvia muttered once again.
And currently, the cold personality that she always showed in front of everyone was nowhere to be seen. Since the fa?ade had already been broken, then, there was no need for her to maintain it when she was alone.
And of course, if the subordinates that have just seen Sylvia's cold personality crumbling were to come over and enter her room, they would be surprised. After all, this room was filled with cute dolls such as bunnies with long ears, and several paintings of other cute animals.
Even the pink bed sheet that was on her bed was actually having an image of a giant but cute cat. Just looking at those big round watery eyes, it would immediately make those people with a knack for cute things to fall in love with it immediately.
In short, the room that she was currently in was completely the opposite of the personality that she always showed in front of her subordinates. Anyway, it was not as if she had any other choice but to show that personality.
Although it might be true that her real personality was not that cold, but still, she would not hesitate when it came to killing. There was one thing that she understood. This was the stronghold domain, and, here, strength reigned supreme.
And if she did not intimidate her subordinates, then, they might get to full of themselves and even think of opposing her. Currently, she had some goal that she had said, intending to complete them. So, she was not willing to be disturbed before the goal that she had in mind had been completed.
Anyway, setting all those aside, Sylvia finally begin thinking about Anthony. She thought that by breaking his legs and locking him in the dungeon that was used to lock those that had broken the laws of the organization was enough, but it seemed that he was lenient.
That guy actually knew that Anne was not to be messed with. But just to get information about her, that idiot had gone ahead and resorted to other methods that would end up provoking the other party.
It was just a good enough that they had provoked Anne's son. For that reason, they were no longer going to be destroyed as it did not seem like Jack at any intention of destroying the Panthers organization. Anyway, even if Jack wanted to do so, Sylvia did not believe that Jack possessed the capabilities of doing so.
But nonetheless, he was capable of making them suffer even more losses than what they had suffered. Although it was true that the guardians of the organization were important, but, they could not be compared to those that had already reached the ninth-star of ordinary human level.
'I guess I will have to do more than that to punish that idiot. Not only has my organization suffered some losses, but, I have not gotten even what I wanted. Now, I have lost my image, and the relationship between me and Anne's son is kind of tensed. So it is going to be difficult for me to go and ask for his assistance when it comes to activating that item.' Sylvia mused.
Immediately after she was done with thinking of this, she left the room, heading towards the area where they locked the prisoners.
With her appearance inside the dungeon, Anthony, who was already beginning to think about how he was going to deal with Sylvia after he got out of the dungeon, was bound to suffer.

"Damn it! Now where did they go to? I have to get them as soon as possible. I cannot allow that Jack to continue being together with her." Derek cursed as he looked around.
He had actually followed Jack and his group to the mountain where the entrance into the stronghold domain was located. But, he had just arrived there when he was suddenly attacked by a group of three mercenaries.
Of course, this group of three mercenaries was not other than Arnold and his too lackeys. The three were frustrated at the fact that Ivy had prevented them from targeting Jack's group.
For that reason, they wanted to find someone that they could vent their anger on. So, when they realized that there was yet another youngster that had come over, they were excited.
Since these youngster came alone, then, they were going to use him to vent their anger. Moreover, they were going to destroy that handsome face of his.
So without even talking to him, trying to come up with a reason of attacking him, they just attacked him all together. They did not care if it was overkill or not, but still, each and everyone of them wanted to at least land a punch on Derek.
Derek who was initially frustrated at the fact that the car that he was in had actually failed to catch up to the speed of that Jack and his group were driving in, was completely flabbergasted when he was attacked out of nowhere.
Due to the frustrations that he was having, he attacked back. But, it was only when he was attacking that he finally realized that the group that was attacking him was just a group of normal humans.
For that reason, he managed to hold back a little. But still, the group of three was beaten until they had several of their bones broken. Derek left them when they were not far from death's door.
He believed that this group that had attacked him without any reason was supposed to do be used by him to vent his anger. So, by letting them suffer the pain from broken bones, feeling death approaching, then, that was going to be good enough for him to vent the frustrations that he was having.
When he arrived at the testing area, those that were in charge of getting the area did not allow him in. After all, he was not putting on an armor, unlike Samantha.
So, although he tried to claiming that he was actually from the stronghold, this group did not believe him. Anyway, since he did not have any proof, then, they were not going to allow him.
Derek on the other hand was frustrated. After all, to come to the normal world, he had used the entrance that was only available to a person from the big strongholds. but now he was entering the stronghold domain using an entrance that was closer to a small stronghold.
In the end since the group was continuously claiming that he was not supposed to enter, he had no choice but to demonstrate his strength. In the end, he broke the hands of two of the guards there. It was only then that they allowed him to enter.
By the time that he entered the testing area, Jack's group had already left. When he placed his hand on the door, the old man that was hiding finally came into light. The two of them then entered the door that led into the stronghold domain.
It was just that, since he was from a big stronghold, when he used his ID, he did not appear near the stronghold where the Panthers organization was located. Instead of he had actually appeared closer to Devin Stronghold.
It was just that after he appeared here, he had no choice but to stay outside with the stronghold because he was not allowed inside without any good reason. Although he could enter any small stronghold, it was completely different when it came to the big strongholds.
