Chapter 467 Don't Try Thinking of Snatching My Man
"Huh?" Sylvia was immediately stunned after hearing that. Then, with a furious expression on her face, she exclaimed, "That f*cking idiot! I already told him not to reveal the information to anybody! It seems that I made a mistake by leaving him alive!"
During the time that they had found something 5 years ago, Anthony was also present. At that time, since Anthony was the current vice supreme leader of the organization, Sylvia believed that he was going to keep what they had found a secret.
But of course, she knew that Anthony did not know what it was that she had found. Although he knew how it looked like, but, she was sure that he did not know about the function that the Item that she found possessed.
But, due to the excitement that she was feeling at that time, she had revealed to Anthony that the item that they had found at that time were going to be able to guarantee the Panthers organization to dominate the entire Stronghold.
Of course, the excitement faded away after a moment. It was then that she realized that she had revealed something to Anthony. But, since she had already done that, there was no changing it. Additionally, although she was tempted to silence Anthony, but, she believed that Anthony was not going to betray her.
Anthony had after all began growing inside the Panthers organization until he had reached the current level. For that reason, she told him that there was someone that if they found, everything was going to be okay.
And of course, during the time that Anne had gone over to sign the contract, Anthony who was together with Erick happened to see her. But still, although Anthony knew that this lady was the one that was supposed to help them, he did not know much about her.
He did not know by what means she was supposed to use in order to help them in activating that item. So, it was also during this year that he had realized that Sylvia was a little frustrated. Although she did not show much emotion, but, the frustration that she was having was visible this time.
It was then that he got a clue that it might actually be related to that lady. After all, for the past 4 years, the item had not been activated, and for that reason, their Panthers organization had not dominated the entire Stronghold as it was supposed to be.
Then, remembering the appearance of Anne, Anthony began investigating about her whereabouts. And, it was then that he got information about Nathan. Nathan went ahead and informed him that Anne was actually his sister. And if he wanted to know where she was, he could tell him.
But of course, that was on a premise that Anthony provided Nathan with a group of people that were going to help him in doing something.
Since this was something easy, Anthony obviously agreed. He sent a group of mercenaries to go over and work for Nathan. And, they were the ones that Yona had gone over to look for during the time that he wanted to rescue Nathan who had been caught by the police under Jack's arrangements.
In the end, the entire group of mercenaries was annihilated. Nathan on the other hand disappeared, no traces of him to be found anywhere.
That was the reason why Anthony had decided to resort to sending Erick over to go and look for Nathan. In the end, Erick was also killed. And after that, he sent Doris, John, Steve, and Ken. But of course, the results were always disappointing. John ended up dead, while Doris, Steve, and Ken both came back beaten up. Moreover, even their communication devices had been taken away.
It was due to this failure that Anthony had his legs broken, before he was sent into the dungeon, to be locked away for an entire year.
All this while, Sylvia had thought that only the two of them possessed the information. That was the reason why she had allowed Anthony to make another drastic move, although it was going to attract the attention of the other organizations, so that they could get the information.
But in the end, Anthony failed. And from the looks of it, he had already informed his subordinates about what was supposed to be kept as a secret. Then what happened next was that, that group of subordinates informed Jack about Sylvia finding something about 5 years ago.
It was a good thing that Anthony did not know what the item was, and neither did he inform his subordinates in detail about what that item looked like. Otherwise, it was definitely going to be troublesome for her.
Sylvia knew how important what she had found back then was. It was just that, it had not been activated, and for that reason, it was completely useless for now. It was only if it was activated that the item was going to be useful, enabling her to easily dominate the other organizations in the stronghold.
Sylvia looked at Jack and said, "You better not think about it at all. That item is mine, so, if you are having any thoughts about it, then I'm going to fight you right now."
At the same time as she spoke, she looked at Jack with a serious expression on her face. It was clear that she was intending to do just as she had said.
"Although I am curious about this item that you found, I am not that bored to come over and look for trouble. Anyway, since you don't possess any information about my mother, then forget it. I guess I'll be on my way now." Jack stated as he got to his feet.
Celine and the group followed, Jack's group leaving the building, leaving behind Sylvia who was still dumbstruck. She could not believe that Jack was going to leave just like that.
It was only after Jack had left the building that Sylvia finally reacted. Although she did not understand the reason why Jack was not interested in something that even his mother was interested in, but still, there was still something that she wanted Jack to pay for.
With rapid movements, she managed to catch up to Jack's group. Then, she blocked their way and asked, "You are leaving without even giving me compensation?"
Jack was a little surprised by the question that Sylvia had asked. He looked at her with confusion on his face as he asked, "What compensation are you talking about? I don't think that I owe you anything, right?"
Sylvia looked at Jack's confused face as anger began boiling in her heart. She could not believe just how shameless this guy could be.
"What compensation you ask? You killed two guardians from my organization. More than that, you went ahead and took the mirage crystal that I had given to my subordinate. Additionally, you even beat up three of my guardians, whose wounds to heal required a lot of resources!" Sylvia retorted angrily.
This was one of the few times that her subordinates had seen her lose her composure. But still, Sylvia did not care. Anyway, Jack had just angered her. After all, other than the fact that his mother had not completed her end of the deal, Jack himself had already caused the Panthers organization to suffer innumerable losses.
When Jack heard her words, his eyes narrowed. Then, with a cold expression on his face, he looked at Sylvia and said, "You are blaming me for this? Why don't you consider the methods that you are using? You know, the last time, there was someone that was intending to kidnap my fiancée and force me to provide some kind of information.
Although it is true that they kidnapping did not succeed, but still, I don't like people messing around with the people that I care about, especially so for my fiancée.
And recently, it was just the group of four that came over to kidnap my aunt. Do you think that I am that easy to bully? It is good enough that I did not kill off all of them and they left with just some injuries on them.
In this situation, I should be the one that is asking for compensation, and not the other way round." Jack stated all of this in one breath.
Sylvia looked at Jack, completely startled. She had not expected that when Anthony sent his group out, rather than looking for the information peacefully, they had even resorted to kidnappings.
That was something that made her sweat a little. After all, by trying to kidnap someone that was related to that woman, that was no different from declaring war against her. It was good that she was not around, otherwise, even the entire Panthers organization might have already been destroyed.
Additionally, looking at the fury that was on Jack's face, she could tell that he was angry about that. But still, there was something that she could not understand.
"Who is your fiancée?" Sylvia asked.
"I am right here. So don't try thinking about snatching my man away." Instead of Jack responding, Celine was the one that went ahead and responded.
Her response of course dumbfounded everyone around. And this made Sylvia, who had already began calming down a little to become furious.
She looked at Celine with an angry expression on her face as she asked, "What do you take me for? Do you think that I will just go around snatching other people's men? Why will I do that? You better mind what you say, or I'm going to deal with you right now!"
