Chapter 442 There Must Be a Hidden Motive
Anthony on the other hand was having a hard time deciding on what to do. Complex emotions had already emerged in his mind, as he thought of the solution.
He really did not want to see Patricia suffering such a fate because of his actions. Yes, it was simply because he wanted to stabilize the position that he was holding, that he sent out the group.
As for Patricia, despite the fact that it was true that he was not willing to be together with her, that did not imply that he did not care about her. They had been together for a long time, so, he only wished for Patricia to have a good life, get a good partner to be with.
But now, it seems that this was going to be an impossibility. Just looking at the young man before him, he knew that this young man was a lecherous one. It did not seem like he was going to give up on what he had already decided on.
Additionally, it did not matter the decision that Anthony was going to make. After all, the young man had already decided on what he was going to do. And, Anthony did not see any solution to the matter.
When Patricia realized that there was helplessness on Anthony's face, she fell into despair. It seemed that even Anthony was not capable of helping her. But, even though it was true that Anthony could not help her, there was no way that she was going to agree to something like this.
"This is not the kind of punishment that is supposed to be given! This is pure abuse of the authority!" Patricia stated angrily.
To her, it was better if she died off, rather than getting humiliated. So, now that she had decided, then, even if she was going to offend this young man so that he could kill her, she did not care. Anyway, she was not willing to go through what was going on in the young man's head.
The smirk on the young man's face did not disappear despite the fact that Patricia was shouting at him. Instead, he grinned as he looked at Patricia and said, "A feisty one, I see. That is just how I like it. Anyway, it does not matter if I am abusing my authority or not."
The young man got to his feet and began approaching Patricia. And when Patricia realized this, she began retreating.
"You know, with the authority that I hold, I'm capable of commanding your leader to do anything. Moreover, I can also command you to kill yourself. If you don't do that, then, you will be considered as a traitor to the world." The young man continued approaching Patricia as he stated.
"Additionally, you cannot blame me that I am abusing the authority that I possess. Anyway, it is my authority, and I can decide on what I am supposed to do with it. Anyway, you cannot refuse what I am saying, or, I'm going to make sure that you are treated as a traitor." The young man said as he looked at Patricia.
Patricia's eyes narrowed. She did not expect that this young man was going to act this shamelessly. Anyway, she did not care about his authority, and neither did she care about his background.
Had it not been for the fact that she knew that the young man in front of her was stronger than her, for him to be that easily obeyed by Anthony, she would have already kicked him away.
Knowing that there was nothing else that she could do, she raised her hand and pointed the laser weapon that she was carrying towards her neck.
She looked at the young man and said, "If you really want to play with me, then, you will have to play with my dead body. There is no way that I am going to be alive if you are going to do something as despicable as that!"
The young man was surprised by the resolution that was in Patricia's eyes. It was not that he had not played with several ladies from other small strongholds, it was just that, the majority of them always jumped into his hands.
And, that was something that he had gotten bored of. After all, if the lady is knew about his background, the majority of them would want to climb up the ladder. They knew that by staying inside the small strongholds, they were nothing more than cannon fodder.
That implied that, they were going to die at anytime. In case they went to the battlefield, nobody could predict if there was a superhuman that might attack them. So, they thought that, by latching onto his thigh, he might actually take them to the big stronghold.
There, they will be able to get more resources, and grow stronger. This way, they would be able to avoid the fate of being cannon fodder. But, how was this young man going to take such ladies with him?
Of course, the only reason why he looked for them was because he wanted to play with them. After he was tired, he was going to throw them away. That was just how he had been living.
Anyway, there was no way that anybody was going to take action against him. After all, his background was not to be messed with. Moreover, all the strongholds that he targeted were smaller. So, no matter how unwilling they were, there was nothing that they could do.
And now, he had finally found a lady that was resisting his movements. After all, there were times that he had targeted ladies that had boyfriends or even fiancés, but the ladies would rather abandon those that they had been previously claiming that they loved, to be able to climb the power ladder.
But in the end, all of them were disappointed. After all, there was no way that he was going to take a vixen as his wife.
But now, looking at Patricia who had already made a decision that she was going to kill herself if he was going to force her, he was completely intrigued. This was the first time that he was being resisted, and he was getting excited about it.
He could already begin imagining how it was going to take him some effort to get her. Of course, if he decided to use his influence, he was going to be capable of getting her within a few minutes.
But now, that was not something that he was looking forward to. Instead, he wanted to play with her. It was just that, currently, there was something else that he needed to take care of.
In fact, that was the reason why he came over. He had used this as an excuse to get permission from his father to come over. And after dealing with this organization, he was going to deal with what had brought him over.
He had received some exciting information, and he could not help but look forward to it. Anyway, Patricia was just a by the way.
"Okay. You can think about it while I am out of here. I will be back in about a week. At that time, perhaps you will have already changed your mind. But anyway, I just hope that you will continue behaving the same. That way, everything will be fun." The young man stated before backing away from Patricia.
After that, he ignored Anthony and left. Anyway, a small stronghold like this was not something that he always paid attention to. Moreover, the matter concerning the information that he had received was more urgent to him.
He had been told that if he delayed, then, he might not be able to get what he had been told. So, it was going to depend on how fast he was going to get there.
As for dealing with what he was told, that was simple to him. He believed that with his background, there was nothing that was going to be difficult for him to deal with.
After leaving the Panthers organization, he left the stronghold. And the moment that he stepped out of the stronghold, a shadow appeared next to him.
After the shadow dissipated, a figure of an old man appeared next to him. The old man looked at the young man and said with a complex emotion on his face, "Young master, I don't think that this is a good idea. I don't think that she will just give you the information about someone if she doesn't have any motive behind that."
The young man ignored the words that the old man had said. Instead, he began thinking about what he was going to do after arriving at his destination. And, after about 5 minutes, he finally responded to the old man.
"Even if she has a motive behind this, it is not like I am her enemy. So, I do believe that she is not plotting against me. Anyway, I will do my own investigation first before deciding on what to do. I am not an idiot you know." The young man replied.
The old man on the other hand could only shake his head in disappointment. He had always been with this young man, and had tried on several occasions advising him against doing something.
But, the young man would ignore him. And in the end, he would suffer. And had it not been for the fact that the old man was always present, then, this young man would have already died.
'I guess this is going to be another time for me to work. Anyway, I hope that whatever this is, it is not going to cause us trouble. Otherwise, I don't know what I'm going to tell master.' The old man thought to himself as the two of them departed.
