Chapter 423 Birthday Presents
"What are you waiting for? Come over, we need to unveil the cake that has been personally made by our head chef, Jackson!" When Celine realized that Denali had been much focused on her surroundings, she tagged on her hand, and pulled her towards one of the corners.
In this corner, there was a curtain that has been placed there. Of course, Denali could see that this curtain had been placed here temporarily, and it was not originally part of the private room that they were currently in.
Celine went ahead and pulled the curtains aside, and in front of Denali's eyes, a majestic cake was revealed.
"This cake was custom made by Jack after I gave him the descriptions of how I wanted it to be like. Do you like it?" Celine asked as she wiped away the remnant tears from Denali's cheeks.
In front of Denali sat a breathtaking cake that immediately stole the show. The cake was an edible masterpiece, crafted with meticulous attention as it reflected Denali's unique personality and passions.
Standing tall on a sturdy cake stand, the cake was a true work of art. Its smooth exterior was coated in a velvety layer of buttercream icing, perfectly chosen to match Denali's favorite color, mostly red and brown.
The base color was complemented by hand-piped decorations that showcased intricate patterns, delicate flowers, or perhaps even a design inspired by Denali's favorite interests.
It was only at this moment that Denali finally realized that, people had been observing her, and had been watching her traits. Additionally, from what Celine had just said, it was clear that during the time that she had spent together with Celine, Celine had already realized what she liked the most.
Moreover, during the trip that they had gone to visit her parents, Celine had gotten along well with her mother. So, it was not strange that Celine had already been informed about the things that she used to love during the time that she was still at home, before she was taken to the shadow organization.
For this, Denali felt a lot of gratitude towards Celine. Now, she felt that, she was going back to her previous self. Moreover, the speed had only intensified, and she believed that, if she continued to spend more time together with this group of friends that she was currently having, then, it would not be difficult for her to live like a normal human would.
Additionally, back at the shadow organization, she had been forced to forget about how it felt like to have friends. There, everyone was selfish so, just like them, Denali had no choice but to become selfish as well.
But now, she had already begun opening up in front of both Jack and Celine, considering that they were the people that she interacted with the most.
Looking at the layers of moist cake, infused with delicious flavors, seamlessly stacked together to form the cake's structure, Denali was continuously awed by Jack's chef skills.
Whether it was luscious chocolate, vanilla bean, or a mouthwatering red velvet, each layer was baked to perfection and moistened with flavored syrups or decadent fillings to enhance the taste.
Moreover, from the base to the top, each layer was possessing a color of its own, with red and brown dominating the majority of the cake's layers.
As Denali's eyes travelled upwards, she noticed the cake's crowning glory—an ornate cake topper that captured her heart. It was actually a miniature form of her younger self.
Looking at that small figure that was quite active, Denali unconsciously smiled. Even though she did not remember how it became that she had gone to the shadow organization despite the fact that it was quite reclusive, but still, she remembered that, while going there, she only had one aim.
Nevertheless, the topper added a touch of elegance and made the cake uniquely hers.
Around the base of the cake, a cascade of edible embellishments added a touch of whimsy and charm. Delicate sugar flowers, skillfully crafted to resemble her favorite blossoms, populated the tiers. Edible pearls, glittering, or even edible gold leaf details accentuated the cake's exquisite beauty.

After getting amazed by the cake that had been prepared solely by Jack himself, Denali went ahead and blew the candles that were lit on top of the cake. After that, she made her birthday wish, and finally, she went ahead and cut the cake with the assistance of her mother, younger brother and Celine.
With that finally out of the way, with a smile on her face, Celine fed Denali the first piece of the cake. And as the cake melted in her mouth, Denali was enamored by how delicious the piece of cake was.
If possible, she really wanted to eat the entire cake. But, knowing that there was a group of friends that had come here, prepared everything for her even though she was completely ignorant of her own birthday, there was no way that she was going to do that.
So, after eating the first piece, she used the fork to take another piece of cake. Thereafter, she was just about to feed it to Celine, when suddenly, Celine winked at her. It was only then that Denali was reminded of the fact that, her parents were here.
It was not that she did not care about her parents, it was just that, the favor that she had been done for by Jack and Celine were incredible that, Denali felt that, Jack and Celine were the ones that were supposed to take the first few pieces of cake after her.
But, looking into Celine's eyes, Denali realized something. It seemed that Celine really cared about the impression that Denali was going to give to her mother. So, Denali simply smiled, and went ahead and began feeding her mother the piece of cake, followed by her father, and finally, her younger brother. Then, she fed both Celine and Denali one after the other, before feeding the rest of the people present in the room.
Finally, music erupted. This was a song that Jack had prepared for Denali. Additionally, he was the one who had prepared everything for the song, and he went ahead and recorded it himself.
When the lyrics of the song reached the ears of all those present, they were incredibly surprised. At the same time, they looked at Jack simultaneously.
Of course, even though they felt that the voice was kind of different, but still, they could relate it to Jack. Additionally, everyone here knew that Jack was actually the owner of The Rose Entertainment Company.
So, they were not new to the fact that, Jack was actually the one that had been writing the scripts and several songs that were being released by The Rose Entertainment Company.
But, there was one thing that they had never known, it was the fact that, Jack actually knew how to sing. Additionally, his voice was very mesmerizing, and the skills that he possessed when it came to singing were actually incredible that they would put many top singers to shame.
The only one that felt proud at the moment was Celine. After all, out of all the people present, she realized that she was the only person that knew about this. Additionally, even Denali herself was surprised, giving her the impression that she was also finding this out for the first time.
The content of the song was to simply remind Denali of the life that was full of joy, family and warmth. Even though it was true that during the time that Denali was together with him, she would always smile warmly, but still, Jack had realized that Denali was mostly cold to others.
For that reason, Jack was hoping that, Denali would change, and become just like any other girl. At the end of the day, she was just 23, and she was still in her youth. She had to enjoy herself together with her friends, rather than simply focusing on one thing.
Moreover, she had spent the majority of her youth in the shadow organization, so, since she was currently out of there, she had to make sure that she enjoyed herself, to make sure that she never had any regrets by the time that she grew old.
After the song ended, finally, the group landed on the dance floor, and began dancing according to different tunes. From those that had higher temple and required them to move and twist their bodies at incredible paces, to those that required slow movements.
The party finally ended at around 10:30 p.m. when everyone finally began presenting the presents that they had brought.
Celine went ahead and gave Denali a piece of jewelry, a necklace. This necklace was custom made due to the request that she had put forward, it was crafted with incredible precision. Additionally, at the heart of the pendant of the necklace, there was a red bead, that matched the color that Denali loved.
Denali was excited. Even though it was true that she could actually purchase any kind of jewelry, but still, being given one of them by her friend was something different.
As for Jack, he went ahead and presented her with a key. This was the key to the car that he had custom made for her. Just like the one that he possessed, this car was named FT 003, the other car that had been custom made, and there was no any other like it.
Of course, the FT 002 belonged to Celine. And, when Denali was given this, she was excited as well. She believed in the skills that Jack possessed, so, she did not even wonder about the appearance of the car.
"Okay, let us go and look at that car. You have already opened all the presents, so, there's only one present that is remaining." Olivia said excitedly as she pulled Denali out of the private room.
