"I do believe that you are an intelligent person. After all, you were able to determine that there was something wrong with your ex-girlfriend. So, I will tell you the truth that, this world is hiding a lot."

Since I already said that all the people present in the strongholds possess incredible abilities, I as a member of the stronghold do possess an ability.
The ability that I possess is to be capable of affecting a person's mind. And of course, it is not like I am invincible with this ability of mine. And, neither is it true that everyone possess this ability. It's just a selected few that possess a special ability, other than the natural strength that they possess after genetic modification or upgrade.

Alicia went ahead and began describing to Jack what she had done, and her abilities. It turned out that, after being controlled by Alicia, Celine did everything that she had been told to do.
But of course, it was quite difficult for Alicia to control Celine. For that reason, even if she wanted Celine to act in a manner that would make Jack hate her, Celine would not do that. It was as if, rather than doing that, she would better die off.
And of course, that was something that Alicia did not want to see. After all, she knew that Jack loved Celine. And for that reason, if Celine suddenly died, it was going to be impactful on him.

The moment that I set my eyes on you, my heart strings were pulled. For that reason, I believe that you are the one that is meant to be for me. Additionally, with the capabilities that you currently possess, I'm pretty sure that once you undergo genetic modification, you will definitely be stronger than the one that my parents arranged for me."
When she reached this point, Alicia was blooming. She really felt happy that she had found what she had been looking for, as she had been given a period of one year, but, she had found the person that she wanted in less than 3 months.
With the remaining 9 months or so, she believed that that she had the capabilities to transform Jack into a person of a different level. She believed that with just incredible looks, as well as the capabilities be possessed when he was just a 'normal' human, even her parents were going to agree for her to be married by him.
Jack remained silent as he looked at Alicia in front of him. But nonetheless, even though he was looking at her, his mind was not here at all.
Instead, he had just realized something. That was the fact that, other than the fact that people got stronger with the modification of their genes, there were a few of them that managed to get special abilities.
Jack could remember all too well that, his memories were sealed. And not only his, but even Celine's. And, he didn't believe that this was something that could be done with the level of medicine technology that was possessed by Azima.
'Could this be the work of a person with a special ability? And, mother said that the sealing of my memory is related to her. Can it be that she was the one that possessed that ability?' Jack's mind began spinning once again.
He felt that the mystery surrounding his mother was only increasing. Even though he was coming to know more things that he did not know about his mother, he was just continuously confused.
When Alicia suddenly realized that Jack was not paying attention to her, she frowned. She took a deep breath, then asked once again in a loud voice, "Jack, are you going to agree to come with me back to the stronghold, so that you can become my husband?"
It was only after she asked this question that Jack came back to his senses. Then, he looked at Alicia and said, "You should know that I am a man. And I am a man with my own pride. So, do you believe that I am going to agree to be courted by a lady when I don't want?"
Alicia wanted to say something, but, when she noticed that Jack had not finished what he was saying, she continued to listen.
"You have said it all too well. You know that I love Celine, but, you went ahead and manipulated her. You controlled her, denying her of her own free will. Do you know what that means? Trying to mess with my wife to be?"
Jack spoke in a low voice, and at the same time, the voice was completely indifferent, unlike the anger that was currently surging in his heart.
All this while, he had been preventing himself from tearing apart Alicia. It was just that, he wanted to get more information from her, so that he could know what enemy he was facing.
And now, he had realized that she was not just anyone, but instead, she was someone that possessed an incredible background. But nonetheless, Jack had managed to realize that, she had not yet broken the genetic lock, implying that, she was just a normal human who was stronger than ordinary humans.
The smile that had been on Alicia's face all this while suddenly disappeared. She looked at Jack with a frown on her face, as she could not believe that even after planning all this, added to the incredible appearance that she possessed, Jack was still not moved.
At the end of the day, she possessed an incredible background, and there were many people that were trying to court her back at the stronghold. And yet, here she was, presenting herself to a man, but the man was not moved at all. Instead, he was angry at her.
Moreover, wasn't Jack supposed to appreciate her dedication? She loved him, so, she did what she had to do, and was even lenient when dealing with Celine, trying to make sure that he was not hurt, even though the two of them were going to be separated soon.
From the fact that she had been referring to Celine as Jack's ex-girlfriend, that implied that, she believed that, from this moment on, she was going to be Jack's woman. But, it seemed that she was bound to be disappointed.
"Are you trying to tell me that you are not going to agree to my proposition of going back with me to the stronghold, and marrying me?" Alicia took a deep breath and asked.
