"Hey Luther, what's up?" Celine greeted Luther. But, surprisingly, Luther completely ignored her.
Celine looked at him with surprise in her eyes. She knew that currently, Luther had not ignored her, but instead, it was just that he was immersed in his thoughts that he didn't even hear her.
"Luther!" Celine shouted loudly this time. And, Luther who was just about to get past the two of them was finally brought back to his senses.
He looked up in surprise, and when he realized that the ones that were in front of him were actually Jack and Celine, he was surprised.
Previously, he didn't even have a method to contact neither Jack nor Celine. So, after they failed to come over, he had no choice but to try and look for them personally.
He went back to the Majestic and Swift Horse Racing Tracks, but he found out that he could not be given any contact information about Jack. Moreover, the new manager of the horse racing tracks was so strict that he didn't even try communicating with him about Jack.
As long as he said anything about Jack, the manager would completely ignore him, clearly indicating that he was not willing to talk about Jack. So, Luther could only give up.
"Hello Mr. Jack and Ms. Celine." Luther greeted them with a forced smile on his face. Even though currently he was stressed, he had no choice but to greet the acquaintances.
"I'm sorry that we did not attend the banquet that you invited us. It is just that we were caught up with something. But anyways, how did everything go?" Celine asked curiously.
"Haa! Everything went completely wrong. The youths from the other nations came over prepared, and were completely hell-bent in making sure that we lost our reputation." Luther sighed as he replied.
Just thinking about the losses that they had suffered was making him suffer a headache.
Interest and a strange glint immediately sparkled within Celine's eyes. Since previously, she had been busy with the companies, she had already reduced the time that she was going out with Wendy and Angy.
For that reason, in case she found anything that was interesting, then, she was willing to get involved in it.
"What happened?" She asked curiously, completely ignoring Jack who was having a gloomy expression on his face.
Luther went ahead and described to Celine everything that happened. The more he talked about the matter, the more frustrated he became.
"Oh, so that is how it is. So, how are you going to solve things?" Celine asked.
"Why are you being so gossipy? You know that your mother is waiting for you." Jack could not continue listening to the matter. Since it did not matter to him, he wasn't willing to get involved in it.
"What gossipy? Don't you hear that there is a group that came over and think that all young people in our country are completely useless? Even if you don't care about them, I do care. And what they said is no different from claiming that I'm useless. Do you think that I am useless?" Celine asked as she looked ferociously at Jack.
Jack could only shake his head at this. Knowing that Celine was hell-bent in getting involved in the matter, he decided not to say anything. To him, as long as she did not go beyond his limits, then, he was going to allow her to do what she wanted.
"Humph!" When she saw that Jack was not responding, she simply snorted and turned her gaze towards Luther.
"Come on, tell me, what are you guys planning to do?" Celine asked once again.
Luther hesitated for a moment. He had already realized that Jack was not concerned about this matter, and had it not been for the fact that Celine was the one that wanted to talk about this issue, then, he was sure that Jack would not have paid attention at all.
When he realized that Jack was not saying anything, he decided to tell Celine the truth. "Actually, until now, we have not yet decided on what we are supposed to do. The last event is something that is very important, and, we have to make sure that we win it. But, it is completely difficult to come up with a decision."
Celine thought about the matter for a while, before asking, "What if you decide on an event that is going to involve another person that is out of the 30 that were selected? Will they agree?"
Luther thought about it for a moment, but he could only shake his head. "I don't think they are going to agree to that. They already came over prepared, so, they are going to make sure that we don't have any way out of the matter."
"Isn't it simple to manipulate this group of arrogant youths? Since they have already won four consecutive times, and their plan had already succeeded long ago, I'm pretty sure that they don't care about the final round." Celine stated.
Looking at Luther who was looking at her curiously, she continued, "All that you have to do is that, you tell them that you want to engage in the fighting competition as the last event. And, you can say that you will pick a single person from the young generation to fight against the other party."
Even though Celine had not explained in detail, Luther was smart enough to realize what she was planning. It was obvious that, since that group came over, as long as they played their cards, they can perhaps manage to convince them about the matter.
Additionally, fighting was not the forte of any of the youths that came over. So, they were definitely not going to agree to get beaten up. They might agree to the suggestion of picking someone that they believed to be the strongest to fight for them.
"You are a genius Ms. Celine!" Luther's eyes sparkled with excitement. He had been thinking a lot about what he was supposed to do, but he had never expected that Celine was going to give him the best suggestion ever.
But, the excitement faded away after just a few seconds. He thought about the matter, but no matter how he thought about it, he didn't find any sure way that they were going to use to win.
They were supposed to choose a single person that was going to fight against four others. Even though it was not one against four as every fighter was going to fight against four fighters, but, they could not guarantee that they would get a person that was strong enough to win the competition.
"Do you perhaps have anyone in mind that is supposed to fight for us? As long as I can remember, there is nobody amongst the young generation that has the capabilities of dealing with the other youths from different nations with 100% surety of winning." Luther asked uncertainly.
"Of course. I have a candidate in mind." Celine replied enthusiastically as she finally turned her attention towards Jack.
Jack had already been having a feeling that something was going to happen, but he did not expect that it was going to happen this way. Celine was actually plotting all of this to make sure that he got involved in this matter. Now, he was wondering what it was that was making Celine behave this way.
"Please, don't involve me in the matter. It is already good that I had agreed to come over for the banquet. But it is unlucky that we did not have the chance of coming. So, let it end there." Jack shook his head decisively.
Luther on the other hand was also surprised by Celine's suggestion. Even though she had seen as Samantha dealt with the group of bodyguards that had been brought over during the time that he was dealing with Clinton, he didn't know about Jack's full capabilities.
But at least, he believed that Jack was strong, as he was capable of breaking Clinton's and Lucas's limbs easily. It was not easy to use hands to break a leg bone after all.
When Celine realized that Jack had completely disagreed, she didn't force it. Instead, she looked at Luther and said, "You just tell them about it. I can guarantee to you that there will be someone that will represent you as long as they agree."
Even though he was skeptical about the matter, Luther decided to trust Celine. At the end of the day, it was not like he had any other choice. So, after thanking the two of them, he turned around and went back towards the room that the group of youths was congregated.
"What are you planning really? It seems that you really want me to get involved in this matter, yet I don't want to." After Luther had left, Jack looked at Celine and asked her seriously.
Celine took a deep breath and replied, "It is not that I want to hide something from you. It is just that, I really don't have a choice. You have to get involved in this matter, even if I don't want you to."
Jack looked strangely at Celine. But no matter how much he waited, Celine did not give him any further explanation on the matter. It was obvious that she was planning to keep this as a secret.
"You know, if there's something that is disturbing you, you can simply tell me about it. There's no need for you to get so disturbed." Jack pulled Celine into his embrace and said in a low voice.
Celine pursed her lips, but she did not reply. She simply closed her eyes as she tightly hugged Jack.
Jack's eyes shone with a cold light. At the same time, he thought to himself that, if there was someone that was trying to mess with Celine, then he would not hesitate to eliminate them.
But, he was completely helpless at this moment. Since he did not even know what was bothering Celine, and what was the reason as to why she wanted him to participate in the event, he could only give up momentarily.
