Qiu Bai understood that he will not be let off and allowed himself to be dragged to the carriage but before going inside he turned to look at his wife. He hoped that she will plead leniency for him since they have been married for so many years and give him this small mercy but the thing was that Second Aunt Yu did not even look in the direction of Qiu Bai.
She was staring at Magistrate Li and Marquis Qiao seemingly wanting to talk with them since her promotion was affected by Qiu Bai's foolishness when Qiu Bai saw how heartless his wife was toward him even till the end, he pursed his lips and bit his bottom lips.
