Chapter 118: Illusion

The sound was dull, like the boat had hit something. Qin Xiaoxi frowned and slowly approached the partition wall of the cabin.

Half of the cabin on this floor was submerged under the water.

Qin Xiaoxi pricked up her ears, but the sound suddenly disappeared.

Perhaps she was too tired and had not recovered from the huge waves, or it was also possible that the boat had hit some kind of fish, which was why there was such a dull sound. Qin Xiaoxi comforted herself, then turned around and climbed up the straight ladder again.

After returning to the top, Jiang Yun was still looking at his map.

“You’ve finished changing?” Jiang Yun asked.

Qin Xiaoxi nodded and spread her clothes on the back of the chair one by one, then moved to the side of the fire. Because of the fire, the cabin was filled with the smell of smoke. Fortunately, Jiang Yun had already opened all the windows, and the rain showed no signs of weakening, so the smoke was tolerable.

Qin Xiaoxi looked around and found that during the time unbeknownst to her, a bed of hay had been made on the ground. On it was one of the thick coats bought by Jiang Yun.

“This is? ? ?”

“You can sleep here tonight and have a good night’s rest.” Jiang Yun was still on the map, as if he was studying something.

“What about wou?”

“I still have to look at some things, and I have to be on guard against the huge waves. If they come again, I’ll have time to deal with them.” Jiang Yun picked up a pen as if he was marking something on the map.

“You can rest for a while.”

“It’s okay, just rest. You’re exhausted too.” Jiang Yun turned his head and smiled at Qin Xiaoxi who was still standing there.

“Then I’ll lie down first.”

Qin Xiaoxi wondered if Jiang Yun had taken the wrong medicine to let her sleep first.

But no matter what, she was a little tired.

“You should rest early. There probably won’t be any more big waves like this.”

Qin Xiaoxi said this and covered herself with the other coat.

Looking at Jiang Yun’s back while he had his head lowered as he was studying something, Qin Xiaoxi somehow felt a sense of comfort from the bottom of her heart. Although they had just experienced a great storm and the rain was still pouring while the wind was still howling outside, Qin Xiaoxi didn’t feel any unease at all.

As long as Jiang Yun was still there, she couldn’t help but feel warm in her heart.

She really did not dare to imagine what she would do if she was the only one on this trip. Fortunately, Jiang Yun was sitting there quietly…

“Or… I don’t want to fall asleep so quickly. Let me accompany you and talk to you.” Qin Xiaoxi quickly got up from under the blanket. She supported her head with her hand and blinked her big eyes at Jiang Yun who was still working hard.

“If you don’t sleep, what are you going to do?” Jiang Yun looked at her with some confusion.

But he was a little dazed when he saw her.

Even without makeup, Qin Xiaoxi was still very attractive. She was indeed the peerless beauty that the people of Thunder City had been talking about.

Qin Xiaoxi yawned.

“I was afraid that you would be too bored by yourself. Let me talk to you,” Qin Xiaoxi teased.

Jiang Yun looked at her.

Her eyes were as bright as the stars at that moment, and her sharp nose accentuated the perfection of her oval face. Her cherry lips curled up slightly. At that moment, she was also fixedly staring at Jiang Yun. The two of them looked at each other for a while, and then they both withdrew their gazes in a panic.

“You’d better rest early. This way, you’ll still be in good spirits. I’ll go to sleep in a while.” Jiang Yun continued to move his pen. Qin Xiaoxi once again covered herself with the fur coat, only sticking her head out.

How could this be… ? Qin Xiaoxi quickly cursed in her heart. Qin Xiaoxi, oh Qin Xiaoxi, how could you keep staring at him? ? ?

Qin Xiaoxi secretly took a few more glances. At the moment, Jiang Yun was once again immersed in his map.

Qin Xiaoxi yawned. For some reason, sleepiness quickly spread throughout her body. Her eyelids began to falter. Indeed, this was the fatigue after a great calamity. She could not withstand it.

In the end, Qin Xiaoxi gave up resisting and slowly closed her eyes.

Jiang Yun also noticed that Qin Xiaoxi was slowly falling asleep. He smiled and continued to study the map. So far, Jiang Yun had not felt any big waves. It seemed that the sea of the Northern Region would not give him any more huge waves for the time being. Otherwise, he would not be able to sleep for the whole night. The only thing he could do now was wait and see whether the weather would improve during dawn.

Jiang Yun yawned. The warmth of the flames clearly made him sleepy.

However, he still shook his head, trying to remain sober.

“Xiaoxi… Xiaoxi…”

In a trance, Qin Xiaoxi seemed to hear someone calling her name. In this moment, everything around her had changed. There was no broken boat, and Jiang Yun had disappeared without a trace.

There were countless huge white pillars around her. Looking from here into the distance, there was a huge throne far away.

Qin Xiaoxi could not help but cover her body.

Why… was it so cold.

“Jiang Yun… Jiang Yun… Where are you?” Qin Xiaoxi called out Jiang Yun’s name, but there was only her in the empty hall.

“Jiang Yun… Come out quickly!” Qin Xiaoxi was a little nervous. She quickly pulled out the Yue Maiden Sword in her hand and unsheathed it. A cold light flashed across Qin Xiaoxi’s face.

Qin Xiaoxi walked toward the throne cautiously.

She could clearly hear every step she took. Every step she took was accompanied by a long echo in the hall, making her feel extremely uneasy.

“Xiaoxi…”

At this moment, a familiar figure suddenly appeared in the distance. She was tied tightly to the pillar at the side.

It was… Her sister, Qin Mingzhu!

“Sister! ! I’m coming! ! Sister! !” Seeing Qin Mingzhu like this, Qin Xiaoxi quickly stepped forward, wanting to untie Qin Mingzhu.

“Xiaoxi, leave quickly.” Qin Mingzhu’s face was pale, and even the words she said were very weak and soft.
