“Right, we do have that option as well. But why do I feel nervous now that it had been pointed out to me? Aurora, can we take a safer route to our destination?”

Aurora shook her head at the easy banter between her two companions. This was something she had missed for the past few days.
Knowing Rita, her words only contained half-truths. But the redhead would follow along with what Aurora wanted to do.
“We’ve talked enough. Let’s settle in for the night and think about what we should do next. Rita, would you like to help me tonight?”

The hesitation in Rita’s voice did not suit her. Aurora did not like Rita like this. She liked Rita when she was confident and knew how to express herself.
“Come in here and leave your hesitation out of the door.”
