They needed a month in total to clear all the monsters lurking in the abyss pit layer, but they only needed 5 hours to return back to the surface. As they emerged from the hole in the ground one by one, the recruits took on a deep breath, they were clearly glad to feel the fresh air again.

Some time later, they arrived at the camp, and Anna checked everyone who emerged from the pit. No matter what, she is a responsible woman, and she strove to at least make sure everyone managed to get out.

Anna couldn't admit to knowing all the names of the people under her care, but she found it easy to recognize their faces. she knew every single one of their faces.

In a few moments, the last person came out of the pit. Anna waited for another few minutes, but then she narrowed her eyes. Questions began to fill her mind, as she realized the person she really wanted to meet has not yet appeared.

"Has he returned to the tent yet?" she asked herself.

As if realizing her predicament, not long after, a red-haired woman approached and said.

"Anna, if you want to find the Metal Guardian, he's still inside."

Viez's answer surprised Anna, and her expression shifted to one of worry.

"Why?" She asked while raising her eyebrow, "Didn't the plans we made say we should stop after we fight Cerberus?"

Viez nodded, "Yeah, that is right, but he told me that there was something he needed to do. Take it easy, Anna, I believe he will be fine."

Even though Viez tried to reassure her, Anna did not answer. With a gaze full of curiosity and worry, she stared at the darkness within the hole, as if trying to bore a hole through it.

Meanwhile, Viktor looked into the hole, his gaze was as if his soul was being absorbed into the darkness that lay within. Then, Djinn's voice mockingly rang out in his head.

<Don't tell me the esteemed Young Master is afraid to jump in.>

"Tch." Viktor clicked his tongue. "Of course, I am not afraid."

Of course, Viktor was lying. Even though he was sure that he wouldn't die even if he had to jump from a height of 1 kilometer, there was still the concern of what lurks beneath. He would be helpless while plunging down, but on the other hand, if he wanted to fight the strongest monster in the Abyss, he needed to take the plunge.

Even though he was still standing at the edge of the hole, he could feel the pressure of a malicious aura from within.

"Damn it."

Viktor stepped back, took a deep breath, then he jumped into the hole.

"Uraa!!"

His body descended through the darkness, and the whooshing of wind echoed from all around him. The longer he fell, the faster his body descended, yet he saw nothing but darkness, felt nothing but the caress of the wind split by the movement of his body.

While he was falling, all Viktor could do was hope he would land on the bottom soon. There was no way to defend himself like this, and he hated his current situation.

After descending for around 30 seconds, his body crashed onto the ground.

Bam!

The ground he fell on was practically destroyed, and his landing made a deep crater on the hard surface. However, thanks to his [Metal Fusion] and the high endurance stat he has, he doesn't suffer any injuries beyond being annoyed.

"I will never jump ever again, dammit. Alright, Djinn, show me the way,"

He followed the directions given by the Djinn and walked deeper. Everywhere around him was pitch black, but Viktor was sure that he was going in the correct direction. Moreover, he could sense the presence of a powerful aura, yet that aura felt somewhat familiar.

Then, Viktor heard a growl, and he immediately stopped walking. He knew what awaited him on the other end. Without hesitation, he immediately took out an ax and a scroll from his storage ring.

"I think it's close."

<Very close.>

The writing on the scroll started to glow, and a bright light emerged from the paper. The golden light engulfed the darkness within a 500-meter radius.

Almost exactly 50 meters in front of Viktor, a field full of monsters could be seen. Each was as high as 10 meters, and they each possessed a different form.

ROOOOAAARR!

Adrenaline pumped through Viktor, and his heart began to beat faster and faster. He gripped tight the handles of his axe and took a fighting stance.

"Finally I can fight you."

The monster was familiar, as it was the being that once wreaked havoc in Perm City. It required at least hundreds of Sky Realm fighters to overthrow it, but however, he still remembers how the saint fighter Derreck Radcliff could match the Chimera.

Viktor was irritated thinking about the goody-two-shoes man, if that man can do it, so will he.

Knowing how crazy this fight will be, he has no plan to involve anyone and risk their lives. If Viktor couldn't make it, he would just use his Divini skill to run, hence bringing more people would only trouble him.

On the other hand, profit-wise, he was sure that defeating this monster alone would be enough to get him enough spirit force to break through Sky Realm's middle stage.

He once again face the abomination and check its stat

[Chimaera]

[Abyss creatures - stage 5]

[Battle power - 165]

Definitely the strongest being he had ever faced, If he hadn't seen the fight at the northern gate of Perm City, he wouldn't have been this confident. However, thanks to that battle, he knows the four-headed monster's weak point, and all he had to do was concentrate his attacks on them.

No time to hesitate, He strengthen his resolve and shout

"Bring it on!"
