[15 hours left]

For the last 24 hours, Viktor kept attacking the orc hordes over and over by attempting to separate some, before running away after the situation got too dangerous or he managed to kill some orc. As a result, he did manage to kill all the orc riders and some within the orc parties.

[Mission objective: Eliminate at least half of the orc horde. (471/1000)]

However, he has had enough of running and fighting in such a nonstop session. As such, he decided to return back to the hideout. When he arrived, he saw that both Torri and Borris were standing guard near the entrance.

"Young master, you have returned."

The two of them looked at him and greeted politely.

Viktor only smiled and nodded at them in response. From how messy he looked, there was no doubt that he was tired. For the entire past day, he had been chased, struck god knows how many times, almost crushed underneath mount beasts, and had to fight tooth and nail to avoid being captured. Aside from all that, he has had to take out arrows sticking from his body.

It got to the point that he even had to create a full metal armor for the blue warg.

When he set out to try and accomplish the objective, his spirit was on fire, but now he was tired. He told Jessie the gist of what he saw, and mentioned that he has given up on clearing the other objectives.

There was no possible way to kill 1000 orcs, not alone by himself. Even though this was just a realistic virtual space, the pain from wounds and battles were all real, so he would rather not risk everyone experiencing the pain of death.

Besides, during his hit and run attacks, Viktor had discovered that there was no chance to bait the leader out of its fortress. Hence, the chances to clear the objectives with the remaining time were close to zero.

Then, Viktor proceeded to show that his storage ring was already full with the orcs' weapons and right now, all he wants to do is rest.

"Leave me alone, unless we are under attack dont wake me up!."

That was the last thing Viktor said before he decided to close his eyes. To his surprise, not even a few hours passed before Jessie woke him up.

Viktor who only got a restless slumber woke up in a jolt when Jessie started shaking his body.

The brown-haired girl wasn't too concerned. In fact, she only smiled cheekily at him before saying, "No… No attacks, really, but I have a great idea to win more of the objectives!"

Hearing that, Viktor got annoyed and turned around, "What?… no, no… just… let me rest…"

"Oh, come on, Viktor, just hear me out alright? I'm sure you'll like the plan!"

The tired Viktor rubbed his eyes half-heartedly before sitting up. The girl then unfurled some drawings, and as he understood the design, his drowsiness was all but gone.

"What the hell… are you serious?" Viktor eyed the blueprints one more time and muttered.

"Yes, of course, I am! Come on, Viktor, this will be great!" Jessie shook his body and insisted again.

Viktor checked his bracelet and saw that there were around 12 hours left give or take. With a bit of hesitation, he looked at the drawing once again.

"Come on, Viktor, what do you say? Can you do it or not?"

Well, Viktor would be lying if he said he wasn't at all intrigued by the drawing.

What Jessie proposed was the creation of the Russians' proudest war machine.

"A Heavy Tank!"

The girl explained that she was inspired by the way Viktor created the plate armor for the warg and the fact that a full tier 2 plating would be all but impenetrable for the enemies' current weapons.

"With this, we can enter from the main gate, safely go straight to the enemy leader, then you can kill him directly while we distract the other orcs from the safety of the tank!"

Now Viktor saw that Jessie really was not kidding.

Within the span of a few hours, she managed to draw the design of a real tank. Its body was designed for defense, while the wheels and the rail, along with the cannon, was made to prioritize the safety of the passengers. At the front of the machine, there was a slot for a cannon as well.

However, Viktor almost immediately saw a problem with it.

"But this is basically just a box of metal, how can we make it move? You don't have a spare engine, do you? Besides, what about the cannon? What the hell would that cannon slot be for?"

Jessie didn't answer, but instead, she showed another design, and Viktor was shocked the more he looked at it. It was a simple wire and pulley system mechanism where two people could operate the machine on two sides by pushing the machine to move with their feet.

As for the cannon, Jessie showed a different design of layered sphere similar to the lightning balls, but it was a few times bigger, and told Viktor to try to create one.

Still a bit confused, Viktor decided to take the leap and create the ball anyway. Within a few minutes of layering, a sphere as big as a bowling ball was created. Jessie smiled, took the ball, and started to write a formation rune on it with her strange pen.

Then, she started to channel her spell into it. The channeling seemed to take more effort than before, and by the end of it, she was almost sweating bullets. However, she held the now runed ball with a smile and said.

"Well, here it is! This is basically now a cannonball with thunderbolt magic. If I add a bit of an improvised shooting mechanism, this could kill a dozen of the orcs and stun a whole field of them, maybe even more. It depends on the battlefield."

This girl really was crazy, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Besides, Viktor likes a bit of crazy to spice his life.

"Alright let's do it!"

Less than 12 hours remain, and they still have much to do. As Viktor called everyone, the entire team exited the hideout and started to help.

Viktor placed all the tier 2 weapons he obtained from the orc riders and stacked them in a neat pile, before he bent and melted them down into thick metal plates with his [Metal Bending]. He was always careful to stick to the shapes and size instructed by Jessie.

He also didn't forget to add his [Metal Tempering] skill, to make sure the tank doesn't break down in the middle of the battlefield.

Meanwhile, the two bodyguards started to help put everything together.

Barry, Kosta, and even Liza each have their duties.

With all the weapons he collected, Viktor made around two dozen of the huge metal spheres, then Jessie taught the three how to channel their spirit force to it. Even though the spheres were powerful, it was quite a difficult job to fill all the spheres, hence Jessie would need all the help she could get.

Before long, a few lightning, fire, and ice element metal cannon balls were created by the three of them. As for Kosta, Jessie gave him all of her extra empty skin materials to create scrolls.

"You'll make a protection spell scroll with this."

The next few hours passed in a blur. Hidden near the corner of the arena, deep inside the woods, a group of people were busy creating a tank, a Warmachine.

Clank! Clank! Clank!

Not even one of them has time to sit and rest, as they each have something to do. As the princess was not too good in a fight, she ended up preparing some food and water for everyone.

Hours passed, and the main tank body was created. Next, Viktor needed to make the railling, which was a difficult ordeal considering it requires precision to bend swords into small cylinders. With his great spell control, Viktor managed to pull it off.

Viktor then casually glanced at his bracelet, and it showed.

[3 hours left]

Viktor and his companions have finally succeeded in creating the Warmachine. Everyone was sweating from head to toe and exhausted, but they were proud to be able to create such a marvelous item with the ingredients around them.

Viktor then chose just the two bodyguards and Jessie to come along with him to the battlefield as a precaution. If anything went south, at least everyone else could survive and there will still be survivors to fulfill one of the missions,

However, to his surprise, his plan received a unanimous 'no' from the others.

"No I'd like to participate, lets's do it together," the princess said, and the others agreed.
