Chapter 144: Lu Shen’s Advice
After seeing Gu Chu’s post, the pressure on Feng Jia’s body increased. Lu Shen passed by the Feng Corporation and asked Feng Jia If he was in the company, then came straight up.
He planned to talk to him about traveling around the world.
Feng Jia just happened to pick up a call and signaled Lu Shen to wait for him.
Lu Shen then left the office and went to the pantry to pour himself a cup of tea. His secretary did not want him to do it himself, so she came over to help.
Lu Shen had always been a gentleman. He waved his hand and said, “I’ll do it myself.”
The secretary thought that since Lu Shen was CEO Feng’s close friend and Gu Chu’s cousin, he was the best person to help the couple.
After the two men finished talking about work, Feng Jia stood up and walked to the small wine cabinet. He took out a bottle of wine and looked at Lu Shen.
Lu Shen raised the teacup in his hand. “I’ll just have some tea. I drove here.”
Feng Jia poured himself a glass of wine. Lu Shen sat on the chair opposite his desk and turned around twice. He asked with a smile in his eyes, “Do you drink in broad daylight?”
Feng Jia poured a third of the red wine into the glass. He lowered his eyes slightly. “Just one glass.”
Lu Shen raised his eyebrows. “I’ve never seen you drink at work. Are you in a bad mood?”
Feng Jia closed the bottle. “Did Susan tell you?”
Lu Shen said helplessly, “Alright, you guessed it right away, I didn’t betray your secretary.”
He did not beat around the bush and asked directly, “Did you and Gu Chu have a fight?”
Feng Jia took a sip of wine. “There’s a disagreement.”
Lu Shen crossed his legs. Unlike Feng Jia’s cold and stern look and Lin Yu’s gentleness, when he smiled, there was a hint of flirtatious charm. “Be more tolerant of her. She’s smart and beautiful, so it’s inevitable that she has a little temper. It can be fun to spoil her.”
The king of jealousy in Haicheng City furrowed his brow. “Why do you say it like that?”
“No reason.” Lu Shen smiled. “I am a man who admires women.”
Feng Jia took a sip of wine and said sarcastically, “You sure know how to talk for a man who doesn’t have a woman.”
Lu Shen felt like he was slapped on the face. “You are brutal.”
Outside the glass wall, the sky was clear and blue. Feng Jia looked at it and said in a low voice, “She’s just too attractive.”
Was he jealous? Lu Shen looked at his good friend with a playful look. “Who are you jealous of? It’s not Lin Yu, is it?”
Feng Jia raised his eyes and looked at him indifferently. Lu Shen was stunned and laughed. “Is it really him?”
He thought that Meng Lang was playful and Wang Xiao was younger than Gu Chu, so he guessed that it must be Lin Yu.
Lu Shen sipped his tea carefully. “Aren’t you overthinking? Although the relationship between the Gu and Lin families is good, they are like siblings.”
Feng Jia said in a low voice, “I’ve seen the look in his eyes.”
This piqued Lu Shen’s interest. “Tell me more about it.”
Feng Jia was not a talkative person to begin with, let alone gossiping about his girlfriend. He put his glass of wine aside and returned to his desk. “CEO Lu, aren’t you busy?”
Lu Shen replied, “This is a serious matter regarding my cousin and brother-in-law. No matter what work I have, it has to be postponed.”
Seeing that Feng Jia still had no intention of chatting, Lu Shen went straight to the point and asked, “Those who are involved cannot see things clearly. Do you still want to reconcile with her?”
Feng Jia paused for a moment before he summarized the entire incident in just a few words.
Although it was short, Lu Shen understood it.
He put down the teacup, and the surface of the tea rippled. He thought for a moment and said, “Don’t be angry at me for speaking up for my cousin. You are definitely in the wrong this time.”
Whether Lin Yu was interested in Gu Chu was a different matter. He had interfered with Gu Chu’s work without caring about the consequences. He acted based on his own guess, anyone would be angry.
Feng Jia’s expression was calm, and it was obvious that he did not agree with what he said.

Lu Shen understood this because he had the way his parents interacted.
He didn’t give any more advice, because then it would become a lecture. He paused and said, “Last night, I heard my mom call my uncle and he said that you took the household registration booklet from the Gu family. Just get the marriage certificate. That way, no other man will have a chance.”
