Chapter 1520 Back With The Family
Jiang Yuyan felt frozen inside the moment she saw her mother-in-law. Now finally it was time to face her. Secretly Jiang Yuyan wished if she could stay away for longer as she was not ready to face all this yet.
Ning Jiahui looked the same as always and walked towards them while Jiang Yuyan felt her mother-in-law could make her heart beat faster than her sons. She felt her palm turn sweaty to think how her mother-in-law would react seeing her together with her younger son. Ning Jiahui smiled at them, "Finally you two are back?"
"How have you been, mother?" Lu Lijun asked while Jiang Yuyan didn't know how to reply and only smiled politely. "I am good," Ning Jiahui replied, "for breakfast, I have prepared what you two like. Go freshen up and come for breakfast first," she said normally as if there was nothing wrong. "Thank you, mother," Lu Lijun replied and just then Lu Jinhai came downstairs. Lu Jinhai looked calm and had as usual expressions on his face but inside he was happy for his son. He came to them, "Good to see you back."
Lu Lijun nodded and they heard Grandmother, "Will you all keep them occupied or let them talk to me?"
Everyone looked at Grandmother who was sitting on the sofa with elder Lu next to her who said, "Come here, first talk to your Grandmother. She has been waiting for you two for a long time already."
Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan immediately went to her. Lu Lijun kneeled in front of his grandmother while Jiang Yuyan stood aside. "I am sorry, Grandma, to keep you waiting for long," Lu Lijun said. Grandmother raised her hand to gently pat his head, "I am glad that you are back. I want nothing more."
Lu Lijun held her delicate hands covered in wrinkly skin, "I am sorry for worrying you, Grandma. I won't go away now. I will always stay here with you all."
Grandma offered him a pleasant smile and looked at Jiang Yuyan, "Why are you standing there. Have a sit," she patted the place next to her.
Lu Lijun nodded and let her go. They went to their own rooms and returned after getting ready and having a bath. Both went together to the garden where everyone was already waiting for them. They sat around the breakfast table, on the two chairs left vacant for them to sit next to each other. "Where is Lian?" Lu Jinhai asked.
"She is talked to Lu Bao," Ning Jiahui answered as she saw her daughter on the phone, standing at a distance and smiling while talking. "These two sisters are definitely cooking something," Su Hui said. "Let them be. They are not kids now for you to keep watch on them," Lu Chen said as he smiled. Lu Lian looked at Jiang Yuyan and Lu Lijun who sat next to each other and she continued to talk on the phone, "They look so perfect together. You should come here fast so you can see it yourself, Baobao. No one is asking them anything and I can see how awkward Yuyan looks."
"If I was there, I would have teased them nicely," Lu Bao replied. "That's why, come here and let's have some fun."
"You know why I can't be there yet."
"Yeah, I have to go now. They are waiting to have breakfast." Lu Lian hung up the call and went to the family members. As she sat on the chair, Elder Lu asked, "What did Baobao say? Is she coming?"
"Mu Xichen is not in the city and her in-laws don't want to be away from their granddaughter. So she is hesitating on how to come here. She doubts they will agree to send them here so soon before my wedding. There is no urgent matter that she needs to attend here."
"Her brother is home after so many months," Lu Lijun said, "and I have not seen my niece for a long time. Is that not enough reason that I want to spend time with my sister and niece?" "Well, it depends how you want to say it and do it," Lu Lian replied as she could guess her brother's intentions.
"I will personally go to get her," Lu Lijun said, sounding like a responsible brother who would bring his sister and no one could stop him. "You are the future of Lu Corporation. I bet they won't dare say no to you on your face," Lu Lian chuckled. "They never dare say no to Yuyan and now you are going to add in it. Such a fortunate one our Baobao is to have strong backers."
