Chapter 1519 Anxious To Face Family
Lu Lijun came to Jiang Yuyan's side as he could see through those conflicted expressions she had on her face. He held her hand and caressed it. "Everything will be fine."
She nodded and just then heard the familiar voice, "My dear, you are finally back."
Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan looked at the old man who was coming towards them from the garden and walking with the support of a cane. That wide smile on his lips showed how happy he was to see them. Jiang Yuyan walked towards the old man first as she didn't want him to rush to them. She reached him and asked, "Grandpa, how have you been?"
"I am just like you saw me last time but…." he stopped and observed Jiang Yuyan, "But you look changed."
"Changed?"
"A good change," elder Lu added and looked at Lu Lijun, "You did well."
Lu Lijun understood what his grandfather meant. Seeing Jiang Yuyan happy and like in the past, was what everyone wished. She only offered Elder Lu a smile in return as she didn't know what she should say about it that his youngest grandson was the reason for this change. She knew secretly everyone knew about them but talking it out was going to be difficult and awkward. Especially after what happened when Lu Lijun told the entire family about his feelings for her and how angry she was at him at that time and left home.
Jiang Yuyan heard it but pretended to not and continued walking quietly with them. "Better than I had expected," Lu Lijun replied. "Good to know," she said happily while, "Finally my handsome brother is not vir...cough...I am proud of you."
Lu Lijun smiled Jiang Yuyan felt embarrassed as these siblings openly talked about their private time. Jiang Yuyan inhaled deeply before going to face the other family members. Lu Lian, who was next to her, whispered to her, "Don't worry. Everyone is chill about what is between you two."
"They know everything?" Jiang Yuyan whispered back. "Isn't it a wrong question to ask after how Lu Lijun declared his love for you in front of entire family and now both of you even had a nice honeymoon…cough…I mean vacation together, even returning home together like a happily ever after couple?"
Jiang Yuyan felt her cheeks turn red on hearing it and asked, "How about mother?"
"Hmm, that's a little tricky to guess. She is worried about you two but she never openly showed anything about you two being together. Maybe once you two talk and she gets to hear from you two about everything, she won't say anything. As much as I know my mother, just like all of us, she wishes you two to be happy."
Jiang exhaled at the thought of facing her mother-in-law. Though Ning Jiahui was her strong support since Lu Qiang was gone, still she was once again the mother of the man she loved and could not help but feel anxious.
'I hope everything goes well and mother won't be upset with me and Lu Lijun being together.'
As they entered the home, the first thing they saw was the grandmother coming out of her room and Su Hui helping her walk while Ning Jiahui came out from the kitchen after instructing servants about breakfast and got to know Lu Lijun and Jiang Yuyan were home. Before she could go out, she saw them entering home with Elder Lu.
