Jake felt a cold breeze sweep his legs.

He clenched his teeth so tight, he was afraid that he might actually break them. The breeze was cold, chillingly cold.

[Your agility has fallen by two points.]

"You have got to be kidding me. I escape a beast and now a goddamn god is hunting after me?" Jake cursed.

He looked up at the clouded sky. It was the evening now, and the sun was just a few hours from going down, and that was visible.

With so many clouds, it was a wonder how it even looked like the evening. Instead, it felt like the night had just arrived.

"Come on. This might be a good time to get some help. I am going up against a god. Only a god can get me out of this predicament." He muttered.

The voice that he heard was a familiar one after all. It was the voice of none other than the evil god himself.

This was no follower of the evil god stepping in. The evil god himself decided to join this attack against not the strongest, but the weakest of the caravan that had come to go against the evil god.

"Come on. God of Light. This is the time for you to help me out. You are going to loose the stone if I am stalled here, and I am not going to get my tier ascension. A lose lose for both of us. We don't want that to happen do we?" He muttered again.

He was border line praying, something no player would do. Who would believe in an imaginary being, after all?

But as he was saying this, Jake felt the cold that was trying to grip his feet and slowly halt him fade away.

It was growing warmer.

Jake looked up in the sky, and he could see that the clouds were parting! It was the same thing that he saw in the holy grounds.

The god of lights was going against the entire evil lands by parting the skies.

The sun in the west end started to shine across the entire land.

The light that it gave out wasn't bright, but it was enough. Golden sun rays hit every single tree in the direction that Jake was going, and as the trees were hit by the rays, they screamed.

The trees screamed with a terrifying pitch, and Jake faltered for a few seconds, hearing this unexpected sight.

"You bastard. You dare come to my territory and go against my subjects?!" The same cold voice that he heard a few minutes ago could be heard once again.

It was the evil god, and Jake knew for a fact that the person the evil god was talking to was certainly not Jake.

It was the person that pissed off the Evil God.

The god of light.

Unfortunately, Jake could hear nothing. Either he wasn't Abel to hear what the god of light could see, or the god of light couldn't care to answer.

Either way, he was happy. There was a god up there that actually answered his prayers.

"Wait a minute. Now, I understand why only NPCs are able to use the power of the gods to the same extent. They actually believe the gods, and the gods respond to true faith." Jake suddenly realized.

"And since I know of their existence, when I asked for this help, I knew I could get it."

As Jake was thinking about this, he heard a notification.

[Debuff has been removed. Agility returned to normal]

"Thank god." Jake sighed.

He could visible see the increase in speed once the message arrived.

The trees sped by him.

"Do you really think that you can help this pest cross the border? I will make sure that he will not leave my grounds alive!" The evil god's voice rang with a cold tone.

Jake felt shivers as the evil god said this.

It was an existence that could be called one of the, if not the most powerful beings in the world.

Sure, its power extended only within the evil realms for now, but its influence was far wider. Jake saw absolutely nothing good coming out of this quest that he had undertaken.

"I guess these are the problems that a legendary class faces. Along with the cheats, you also get problems so big you just want to give up and sit out the day." Jake sighed.

His eyes darted to the corner, checking the map for a second.

His position was marked with a blinking red dot, with the border of the evil lands dotted in yellow.

They were close. Frighteningly close.

All this running and he didn't realize just how close he was getting to the border of the evil lands.

But that was still a problem. The beast that he saw behind him, the one that the party was going against, was one that didn't exhume any evil energy.

It was devoid of all of that.

That could mean that it was no evil beast, and was a normal beast.

Those were beasts that could actually cross the beast.

"Do not think that you can go any further, pesky human." The evil god scowled.

As he said this, Jake felt the ground below him shake.

Cracks appeared all around him, and they started to expand.

Through the gaps that were created, Jake could see small vines of some sort appear.

They were yellow, and not a bright yellow like the sun.

This was a color that felt disgusting, and it covered the vines.

The vines danced with the wind that was surrounding Jake, as they grew taller and taller, extending from the cracks.

In mere seconds, Jake was suddenly in the middle of an array of vines of different shapes and sizes.

All of them a yellow that gave Jake no comfort.

"This… this feels like no monster. This feeling, only a god himself can give it!"
